@Theawkwardblonde you can engage from early as this is your first baby. So it wouldn't surprise me if you are engaged. However this is my 5th pregnancy (minus the 2 that I've lost) so It could take longer for someone with multiple births to engage later or when in labour

Hi ladies, no updates yet. Baby is moving stubborn. I'm contracting regularly but he is still 3/5 up. Hasn't changed. Doctor said it could take days, or even weeks.. I'm so fed up now.

@jadey1991 aw no. Little monkey as he is. Have you been sent home now? Did they give you any suggestions on what to do for the best to get him moving? Bouncing on a birthing ball etc?

@Curlymam88 yes I got home at 2am last night. Spent 12 hours up there. They told me to carry ok doing my normal routine. Walk around and move side to side. They didn't want to give me medication because it will slow the process down.

What a long day for you. Hope he doesn't keep you waiting for too much longer!

How many weeks and days are you at now @jadey1991? It must be so frustrating having thought baby was on the way but then having to head home and wait longer.
Hopefully things will kick off soon 🤞

@2020mission I'll be 37 weeks on Saturday. I know I'm still pretty early but doctors expect me to have a early baby due to my previous pregnancies. They said I'm in early stages of labour and are treating me as tho I'm 38 weeks. I have a growth scan on Tuesday and they are hoping by then he will be fully engaged. Just have to wait i and see.

Hey ladies hope is well. Update from me. Still having contractions but every now and then. Baby is really stubborn. MW and doctors reckon I should have baby within the next week or so, so we are very excited. I am having a lot of the sticky discharge now. My cervix is open a little bit so we are moving in the right direction. They didn't want to give me steroid injection to stop my early labour as they think I could be further along then dating scan suggested. I've been measuring 38cm since I was in hospital. (I thought I could be further along before) I have a growth scan today at 12pm so hopefully I hear something from sonographer.

@jadey1991 thank you! are you in any pain at all? Are you able to relax and get comfy in the mean time? Ive just arrived at the hospital, got my scan first then, diabetic midwife, diabetic doctor and obstetrician. Its going to be another long one for me today. Ive even brought a packed lunch. Im kind of nervous but excited at the same time. Will keep you updated

@Curlymam88 I'm in some discomfort. It's bearable at the moment, I haven't been able to sleep much. I'm able to dose of now and then but not for long. Aww bless you hun, I do hope everything goes to plan for you today. X

Good luck with your scans ladies and hope you both get some updates. I'm off to my consultant appointment in a minute where I'm hoping they'll give me an induction date 🤞 It's all getting very real now!

Glad all is well @jadey1991 even though I bet its frustrating not knowing if your coming or going! Really hope it doesn't drag out for next 3wks and labour progresses quicker than that for you! 💐 Its still very exciting for the rest of us....I kept coming on to check for updates!
Hope everyone else is feeling OK.....I'm currently at home very under the weather with cough/cold 3 kids off school and hubby home looking after me....we all took pcr tests yesterday as 2 of our kids and I have coughs and so much happening over next 2 weeks need a negative result! Especially if I go into labour....I had braxton hicks yesterday and just feel wiped out last 2 days?

@lovebeingmum9 thanks hun I do hope so too. He is so stubborn. Must take after his dad lol. Aww I do wish u all better ASAP. How long till you find out your results of pcr?

Haha aw bless! I would like to say ours take after dad with stubbornness but we are both stubborn lol We took the tests yesterday so should take upto 72hrs but if not heard back by tomorrow we can hopefully call to trace them.....BUT had an email from kids school this morning saying our sons teacher, has tested positive for covid over the weekend and now isolating for 10days!The government guidelines advice is... they no longer shut the whole classroom down so could well be others infected? This would just be awful if we have it and if we don't then my dilemma is do I send kids back knowing chances of them getting it within school is pretty high!? So close to due date 😓😷

Omg!!! I've been booked in to have baby by c section this Friday 3rd December!!!!! Shes weighing 7lb14. Im kind of in shock and shaking, didnt expect it to be so soon i thought maybe next week 🙈🤣

Our results just came through Negative! 🙏 But it's obviously closing in on us.....very worrying!
