Thanks for starting new thread-missed the tag for some reason!

MrsGxx · 29/10/2021 00:28

Hey please can I join :) I’m 31 weeks due December 30th.
Gestational diabetes diagnosed at 11 weeks and having such a hard pregnancy this time around😟

Em39ma · 29/10/2021 07:19

@MrsGxx of course you can join, we are a good bunch.
I’m not having a great pregnancy either, I have polyhydramnios and did the first time too. On top I have severe HG too.
Are you diet controlled or on insulin?

@sarac79n fingers crossed this works! Xx

NatMoz · 29/10/2021 14:54

First baby for me. I'm at 33+4. Due 13/12!

Fairly plain sailing pregnancy so far. Can't believe I finish work 5 weeks today 😱

sarac79n · 29/10/2021 15:21

yes! thank you so much! Now... how to join the Facebook group!?

MrsGxx · 29/10/2021 15:28

@Em39ma brill, it’s nice to come here when your feeling down & so rough! I feel terrible and have done my whole pregnancy. It sounds awful but I’m just wishing the time away and hoping my symptoms go instantly😬
I also have polyhydrominos I have my 32 week scan on Tuesday so will see how everything is looking. I was diet controlled until last Tuesday I’m now on insulin but numbers still don’t seem to be improving. It’s an emotional rollercoaster x

cloud2021 · 29/10/2021 15:34

35 weeks today! Also got diagnosed with GD... I am still diet controlled, despite few random high fasting reading ( 4 in total in 6 weeks so they are still happy for me to stay diet controlled)..
I have my scan in one week and I will discover a bit more about birth plan etc! I feel these next weeks will be the longest, I am done being pregnant!! :)

thank you!

Em39ma · 29/10/2021 17:47

@MrsGxx I feel awful from conception until they come out. It’s like someone turns the switch off. They took DD out by c section and I was like I could do a gig, just felt like me again. It was that instant, was amazing.
I hope you feel the same, is this your first?

Thanks for setting up the new thread. Haven’t been very chatty on the previous ones but it’s been nice to “drop in” and see how everyone is doing.

I’m end of December due date but getting very excited for all of you who are beginning Dec. Hearing that please are beginning to be 35wks is lovely (and slightly daunting!).

What has everyone got ready yet. This is number 3 for me. So I’ve got a lot of stuff already. But when are people putting cots up? Packing hospital bag? All that sort of thing? Im a bit lost as to what’s ridiculously early. But also aware Christmas will remove a week or two of baby planning.

RHODXB · 29/10/2021 17:50

I'd love to join! Officially due 5th Jan but my daughter came at 35 weeks and just been released from hospital after having early contractions due to water infection so pretty confident she will be here by December 🙈

CelloYouveGotABass · 29/10/2021 17:50

Hi all! I’m 33+5 today and have a 19m old.
Moving house in two weeks and currently just sitting here wondering how to achieve it all!

Started to feel rough now!
I am on two weekly growth scans and consultant appointments due to high thyroid antibodies. Lots of faff with childcare for those!

NightDreaming · 29/10/2021 17:52

@MrsGxx I had GD with my 2nd. Really feeling for you. Hope you’ll manage to get lots of you time and rest in these last two months. x

MrsGxx · 29/10/2021 18:33

@Em39ma yep that’s been me this time I’ve been this way since I found out at 7 weeks I’m practically bed ridden 😢 I just don’t feel like myself, or a women even.
No this is my second but my boy is 8 and 9 after Christmas so quite a big gap between the two.
I think it’s all hormone related so I’m hoping after birth that switch flicks back to myself Blush

@NightDreaming it’s awful isn’t it, just can’t seem to get the balance and just lately my numbers are absolutely awful but my sickness is coming back, so I think some numbers are due to not actually eating enough and some I’ve had dry toast because it’s food and all I can stomach 😟 I am so fed up honestly x

Em39ma · 29/10/2021 20:16

@MrsGxx they say if you have a big gap it’s like having a first again.
I’m also 42 and the toll it takes on my body is awful. But I know no difference as had DD at 40. Should of met DH sooner, but his ex wife, might not have been keen on that 😂😂

Thanks for the new thread @Em39ma : )

Had a pretty full on week at work (not so common since the pandemic) and I am feeeeeling it! My back, ow! 31 weeks almost 32.

CityGirl182 · 30/10/2021 05:23

@NightDreaming also baby number 3, have just started getting stuff out of the loft and checking what we saved, I'm nearly 35 weeks. Not assembling the cot yet as still painting the baby's room! Think I'll start the hospital bag next week or the week after...

Scarletpig1 · 30/10/2021 17:11

I was just thinking I need to order Moses basket and beside crib in case they come early as he has nowhere to sleep just now. It seems to have come around so quickly. 33 weeks now

Em39ma · 30/10/2021 20:19

@Scarletpig1 are you having one upstairs and one down. Otherwise I would recommend just the side by side. Dd never went in her Moses basket. Just go the side by side this time and a travel cot downstairs

OP posts:
Scarletpig1 · 30/10/2021 21:00

We used the Moses basket loads last time and ended up using the crib as a stand for it upstairs as wouldn't settle in the crib. Also he didn't like his travel.cot either . Going to get a snuzpod or next to me instead of the crib this time as lots of friends have recommended them
I think he liked the security of the small Moses basket last time. The handles were bent by the time we were finished so have chucked it now

Lindzers83 · 31/10/2021 05:47

Thanks @Em39ma for the new thread. Anyone's ones pelvis feel really spongy when you walk? Like it might give way. 34+2

Em39ma · 31/10/2021 07:13

@Lindzers83 mine feels like it’s on fire, burning sensation when I try and turn over at night.

OP posts:
Sparklestars86 · 31/10/2021 11:43

@Lindzers83 yup! 😩 My thighs also
ache really badly as feel like I'm tensing them/holding myself differently to try and relieve the pressure on my pelvis. Xx
