Sorry ladies, didn't intend to be the bearer of bad news 😂

I went outside on lunch break and gagged at the fresh air? Ok Hun 🤦🏼‍♀️

robyna · 23/10/2021 14:18

@Positive21 I started to feel a bit less nauseous at 9 weeks and was thinking wow this is early for symptoms to get better! Now 10+2 and feel hungover like you said. Food aversions are at peak too 😭 can only manage jacket potato with cheese and beans atm.

SerendipitySunshine · 23/10/2021 16:25

I'm 12 weeks, scan is this week, and my symptoms have vanished. I'm missing feeling sick, because then at least I felt pregnant!

FateHasRedesignedMost · 23/10/2021 17:17

I started to get some food aversions, not fancying a lot, gone off of some veg, gagging at the smell of the food waste etc and washing up Tupperware

Yes! I can’t even look at the food bin. The smell of the fridge, freezer and dishwasher makes me gag too although DH thinks they smell normal.

I’m 10&4 and remember this stage from last time, I was so convinced there was a mouldy olive lurking in the fridge I made DH empty and clean the whole thing. There was no olive 😂

Bubbasmama2017 · 23/10/2021 20:50

@SerendipitySunshine I've been similar! Definitely still being sick but just feel different and my bloated "bump" has almost gone I got back into normal jeans again today.
Trying not too worry but also been googling symptoms. Wish my scan was this week, got another 8 days to wait!

kjcar · 23/10/2021 22:10

I've been feeling hungover, tired and sick since week 6. I'm now 12+1 and hasn't eased up yet - week 11 was the worst yet I think as I had to spend 2 days in bed. Fingers crossed it eases soon though!

Positive21 · 24/10/2021 10:02

@robyna seems like it's a few of us! I haven't had any nausea up until this point, thought I had escaped it!

@SerendipitySunshine I understand that. I think if you have symptoms and they ease, you worry, and if you don't have symptoms you still worry.

@FateHasRedesignedMost that made me laugh! My OH thinks I'm overreacting a bit but this is obviously pretty normal. He got super excited when I asked if he wanted Chinese for dinner. Normally I'd never pick Chinese 😂

When is everyone's dating scans?

Mine is Friday 29th and I will be 12+3. Hope everyone's goes well!

fattycatty82 · 24/10/2021 12:17

Hello everyone 👋 I'm due May 22nd and I'd love to join your Facebook group but I haven't told anyone yet so I'm worried people will see I've joined the group 🤔 it might give the game away.... 🤦‍♀️😂 anyone know if my Facebook friends can see if I'm a member? 🙏

fattycatty82 · 24/10/2021 12:25

Also just wanted to say that after weeks of feeling so sick from about 3.30pm every day I've recently got some anti sickness tablets from my doctor and to be honest I wish I'd got them sooner, they've really taken the edge off. I'm still in bed by 8.30pm but at least I don't feel like I'm swaying in a boat about to puke every night! Other things that have helped are dried crackers, hot water with lemon and ginger and extra strong mints. Also getting my other half to do all the cooking and house work 😂 long may that continue!

Bubbasmama2017 · 24/10/2021 14:16

@fattycatty82 did you get them from the doctor or midwife? Any side effects? My midwife hasn't suggested anything but I haven't spoken to the doctors about it yet

Bubbasmama2017 · 24/10/2021 14:17

@Positive21 my scan is 1st Nov very nervous!! Also seeing some friends the night before who don't know but I don't feel comfortable telling any more people until the scan. I think the next 7 days will go very slow

fattycatty82 · 24/10/2021 14:44

My midwife suggested it and my doctor was happy to prescribe them as I've had weeks of sickness. Doesn't stop it but definitely helps!

Bubbasmama2017 · 24/10/2021 17:00

@fattycatty82 thanks I was hoping it would be gone by now!

fattycatty82 · 24/10/2021 17:04

It's horrible isn't it. So hard to fell anything but miserable when you're overcome with sickness all the time.

MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat · 25/10/2021 11:42

All looking good at my 12 week scan today. I thought I was 12+5 but have been moved forward to 13+0. Really relieved everything looks normal and nice to be able to tell my family now. Think everyone is very surprised as I said I was done after my second but changed my mind!

LS2020 · 25/10/2021 12:00

@MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat what a wonderful update 🥰 making me very excited for mine Friday! Have you got anything special planned for telling them?

Elsie2021 · 25/10/2021 12:33

@MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat Thank you for the lovely update and what a lovely picture! Congratulations. Enjoy telling your family, so special ☺️

My anxiety is has really ramped up over the last few days. I am around 10 weeks and my sickness has vastly improved, which I know can happen, but I had a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks last time and I am just so terrified of it happening again.

We had an early scan at 8 weeks 5 days and everything looked great but we had an early scan last time so it only helped so much. I am tempted to get another scan just to check everything is okay but I don’t think you’re meant to have one more frequently than every 2 weeks and with my 12 week scan date I can’t fit it in.

I think I need to just wait till my 12 week scan but then I get worried about the damage I could be doing with the stress. I just can’t shake the feeling though.

Sorry I know I’m rambling. It’s just nice to have somewhere to let it all out!

Any success stories following missed miscarriages and anyone else’s whose symptoms have disappeared much appreciated! Xx

AMM86 · 25/10/2021 13:30

Love that we’re starting to see people’s 12 week scan photos! Congratulations everyone!
I’m due at the end of May so feel a bit behind. Still stuck in vomiting land unfortunately. Today is a write off! Sickness tablets from my doctor had been working but apparently not today!

fattycatty82 · 25/10/2021 13:47

@AMM86 my scan isn't until November 12th (due May 22) and seems like such a long wait! I'm the same as you, feeling like pants most days... I miss having energy and sickness seems never ending.... just got to get through the next few weeks and hopefully things will get better. It's so hard not to tell people!!!

GinnyBee · 25/10/2021 13:48

That's awesome @MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat ! Congrats on a healthy 12-week scan!

@Elsie2021 I'm in a similar situation! Although at my last scan at 8+4 we were further than I got to in my other two pregnancies that ended early, but I'm still not fully trusting that I'll stay pregnant - the last one was mmc discovered at a scan and my first time started miscarrying naturally but only about 3 weeks after development had stopped, so I can't really trust that if nothing's happened then nothing's happened. Luckily I have another scan coming up this Thursday at 10+4 and then my dating scan on the 8th November at 12+2.

SerendipitySunshine · 25/10/2021 14:17

Congratulations @MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat - beautiful photo. I can't wait for ours!

AMM86 · 25/10/2021 14:37

@fattycatty82 I know! I’m eating not much other than ice lollies today as it’s keeping the saliva sickness thing under control for a bit.
My scan is November 15th - few days after!

fattycatty82 · 25/10/2021 14:41

Ice lollies, jacobs crackers and salted peanuts for me.... lemon and ginger in hot water too x

Bubbasmama2017 · 25/10/2021 17:41

@Elsie2021 I'm feeling the same. I know a few friends who have had miscarriages and a couple of them were MMC at the 12 week one. Im just trying to keep busy this week before mine on Monday but I know I'll be a wreck that day and the few days before.

SerendipitySunshine · 25/10/2021 17:42

Yes, I'm finding that hard too @Elsie2021 @Bubbasmama2017 - really nervous about it.
