@PsychoDeMayo that's good news so pleased for you

Bubbasmama2017 · 13/10/2021 14:35

@Positive21 my boobs are no longer sore and sickness seems to be dying off a bit, only sick a couple of times a day now. I'm already in maternity jeans as definitely got a belly coming!

LS2020 · 13/10/2021 14:50

@Bubbasmama2017 @Positive21 very similar just bobbing along at 10 weeks. My boob soreness has gone and think nausea is starting to ease. Got a scan booked in today and then my NHS one on the 29th and excited to finally start telling people ☺️ I’m already in maternity clothes too, so much more comfortable!

Positive21 · 13/10/2021 14:59

@Bubbasmama2017 I put jeans on the other day and instantly regretted it 😂 feeling very bloated! I'm a bit overweight anyway but don't normally bloat with food or period so it's odd for me!

@LS2020 our scans are on the same day 🥰 good to hear others are settling and your sickness has eased off.

I just realise I ate deli meat for lunch! I'm sure it's fine but I'm kicking myself 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

Etonmess20 · 13/10/2021 15:00

I'm glad some of you ladies are in maternity jeans too, I'm not sure I ever want to go back to normal jeans 😂 I also feel like I'm just bobbing along, I'm 9+5 & don't have my 12 week scan for another 3 weeks - seems like ages!!!

Bubbasmama2017 · 13/10/2021 15:01

@LS2020 is this your first scan? Im so tempted to have another private one this weekend, had one a couple of weeks ago already my boyfriend is saying not to lol he isn't a worrier like me

YummyMummyXoX · 13/10/2021 15:01

@PsychoDeMayo so pleased to hear about your scan lovely to hear abit of good news x

EJLM · 13/10/2021 15:07

hi ladies, sorry to those who are worrying and congrats to those who have had scans already. I'm about 10.5 weeks now and is anyone else finding they cannot stomach anything I haven't been sick but everything makes me feel sick and tastes weird? also my boobs are feeling less sore so glad to see I'm not the only one! x

Bubbasmama2017 · 13/10/2021 15:14

@EJLM I had that a couple of weeks ago I still don't want to eat fish and it can take me a while to work out what sounds good but for the most part that seems to be easing. I'd say I definitely have more aversions than cravings!

misstilly · 13/10/2021 15:19

Hi can I join. Think I'm due around 27th may but had a scan at the weekend due to some spotting and have found out it's twins so will probably be earlier! Was a complete shock as was the pregnancy as I have 2 boys already and was unsure on a third!

GinnyBee · 13/10/2021 15:31

I finally heard from my midwife today! I have my booking on the 28th, I'll be 10+4 then, and she sent off my referral for the dating scan today so I'll get it for 12 weeks as if we waited until the booking appointment it might be too late to get a scan appointment. Glad things are moving!

I have mo next scan at the EPU tomorrow and am getting nervous! I keep convincing myself that they'll find another mcc and my symptoms are just caused by the progesterone, and then the next moment I shake it off and think nah, I'm sure everything's fine. It'll be the exact same day we found out last time that we no longer had a hb. If all is well tomorrow then we've passed the milestone of when both of my previous pregnancies failed.

LS2020 · 13/10/2021 16:50

@Positive21 make the transition over you won’t regret it! Ah how exciting! Have you had an early scan? You’ll be totally fine on the deli meat, try not worry!

@Etonmess20 feeling you, I’ve had one every two weeks and this one’s felt ages!! Everyone keeps reassuring me after 12 weeks it goes really fast.

@Bubbasmama2017 this is my third one!! Tbf my first was I had to have through my IVF treatment, I then booked this one in as I knew I wouldn’t get my 12 week until at least 13 due to my holiday so wanted this to bridge the gap. However I got nervous around 8 weeks due to coming off my progesterone so booked another then! However couldn’t cancel this and refund so just kept. I think I’d have been fine without but was super nice to see them again.

Scan went so well, got to see them bounce around, heart beats strong and even saw the umbilical cord - amazing!!

PsychoDeMayo · 13/10/2021 17:53

Thanks @Positive21 @Bubbasmama2017 and @YummyMummyXoX
@misstilly wow! What a shock! Hopefully you’re getting your head round the news and feeling excited about it.
Good luck tomorrow @GinnyBee Hopefully plain sailing for you at your scan.

Bubbasmama2017 · 13/10/2021 18:03

That's lovely@LS2020

Bubbasmama2017 · 13/10/2021 18:05

@misstilly wow I bet that was a shock what is the age gap between your others?

Smushied · 13/10/2021 19:02

Hi all! I’m due around the 27th May! I had a reassurance scan on Monday and everything was fab, baby was exactly the right size and we saw a heartbeat so felt very real.
My midwife rang today and I have my booking in on the 26th so I’ll be around 9+4 and I’m so anxious? I have two weeks to go but I’m already worrying about it and I dunno why. I’m not the best at doctors/medical things but I’m aware I need to get over that 😂
Has anyone got any tips or advice so I can relax a bit! I think from reading on here people who’ve had really awful experiences with their midwives if they’re slightly overweight or being super judgey!

misstilly · 13/10/2021 19:17

Thank you! I was just getting used to having a third never anticipated twins. Bit nervous as looks like they are identical and in the same sac which is quite risky I think but will know more at a 10week scan. My other two are 5 1/2 and nearly 2 so hands will be full!

anxiousash21 · 13/10/2021 20:13

Hi everyone!
Just had a dating scan yesterday and I am measuring 7+4. Due may 30th. Cautiously optimistic as I suffered a loss Christmas time last year. had a dating scan and there was no heartbeat . this time I saw and heard the little heart and everything looks good. sac is in a good position and yolk is clear and good shape. 😍

Marden11302 · 13/10/2021 20:20

Puked up for the first time today, all over the bathroom floor at work 👍🏻😂

Positive21 · 14/10/2021 06:17

@LS2020 I think I may have to! Yes we had a scan at 8+3 with 178bpm heartbeat and measuring exactly the date from my LMP! Currently 10+2, but for some reason this morning I've got bad jitters again. It's such a rollercoaster isn't it! Definitely easier being able to talk to family about it though. They are so excited. Glad you had an amazing scan!

Welcome to all of you who are still joining us!

Is anyone close to their dating scan yet? Mine is 29th October and I will be 12+3 so it's quite bang on my dates. Due 10th May 💕

FateHasRedesignedMost · 14/10/2021 06:43

Hi everyone,

How are you all doing?

Sympathy to anyone being sick. I’m struggling through HG with the help of ondansetron and metaclopramide, just over 8 weeks now.

Is anyone exhausted all the time? I feel like I can sleep all day. Then the sickness wakes me at 2am, son (age 6) gets up at around 4am if he hears me downstairs and I feel ok-ish until after school run.

I need to unpack my mat clothes. My pregnancy bras and knickers are vac-packed from 2015! No sign of a bump yet but my body’s changing shape, my boobs have tripled in size and my skin’s hyper-sensitive. I can’t stand anything tight, clingy or with a waistband!

Minster2012 · 14/10/2021 07:13

@PsychoDeMayo yesss that's great news!! Has it sunk in yet? 🙌🏻🥳

@Positive21 im just quietly bobbing along too, waiting for a scan this weekend at 8+5 I'm worried after a MMC & MC but saw a heartbeat at around 6 weeks. No symptoms really so just counting down days

@misstilly wow congratulations!! That's amazing!

@GinnyBee all the luck for today, got everything crossed for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@LS2020 great news on a positive scan that sounds really exciting

@anxiousash21 I understand your worry having been there but that's a great start!

@Marden11302 eeeek hope there's not much more of that!

@FateHasRedesignedMost that sounds tough, I'm waking up super early too and struggling to go back to sleep

Counting down the days til my scan on Sunday

PsychoDeMayo · 14/10/2021 07:56

Not really sunk in yet @Minster2012 ! Feel slightly excited but trying not to get carried away just yet. Partner keeps having another wee quiet look at the scan pic 😁

IKIKIK · 14/10/2021 10:35

Hello lovely ladies.

Haven’t posted in a while as been pretty sick!

A few tips I’ve worked through for my nausea and sickness in case they help anyone:

1 water with a bit of squash - I just can’t drink tap water!!

  1. Breakfast - small piece of toast first thing. Then about an hour later a scrambled egg. And an hour after than a small piece of malt loaf. This seems to help keep the vomiting at bay and makes the nausea just about manageable
  1. Lots of protein for lunch - but a small lunch. After an hour a petit filous and then cheese and crackers.
  1. Small dinner - after that cut apple and strawberries. And then just before bed a few spoons of Greek yogurt.

I think the Greek yoghurt is good at keeping me full til the morning and trying to manage the morning vomit!!

Been vomiting less but more nausea unfortunately. My bloods all came back great which is re-assuring as can’t handle any more iron sachets!!!

Hope everyone doing ok and managing so far.

Sending love

Xoxo

EastMidsGem · 14/10/2021 11:40

First thing in the morning and last thing in the evening seems to be the worst time for nausea for me, despite trying to eat small regular amounts

I’ve got my emergency scan in a couple of hours, very nervous Sad
