My symptoms have completely disappeared today and it's making me so worried :-( my scan isn't for another 2.5 weeks. Really anxious it will show a mmc. Has anyone else had similar experiences with symptoms?

Jowd92 · 10/10/2021 08:43

I will ask with mw on Tuesday the receptionist said it was due to covid and limiting appointments in hospital but I still can’t see it being right

AMM86 · 10/10/2021 08:44

@Bubbasmama2017 everyone tells me that every day is different. Some days I’ve felt nothing at all and others I feel everything! You may find they reappear as you carry on with your day. Completely understand how you’re feeling though. Speak to 111 if you still feel worried later? Xx

FateHasRedesignedMost · 10/10/2021 08:50

Hi, joining this thread if that’s ok?

I’m due end of May 2022 (though I suspect early May is more realistic as I had my first at 37 weeks.

Had an early scan a week ago, saw and heard the heartbeat. Very reassuring as it took years to conceive this one! My first child is 6.

Suffering with HG but coping with ondansetron and metaclopramide so far.

GinnyBee · 10/10/2021 08:51

@Bubbasmama2017 I'm there with you! My symptoms went on Thursday and haven't come back. Had a little teensy bit of feeling blergh yesterday but other than that, all gone. I'm even waking up early! I'm trying not to worry as I think it is quite normal, but after two mc I'm finding it hard to not compare to my previous pregnancies when my symptoms eased.

My next scan is on Thursday so not too long thankfully.

Sarah239 · 10/10/2021 09:21

@GinnyBee @Bubbasmama2017 my symptoms have disappeared too in the last few days. I am 8+5. Just trying not to worry as I have read they can come and go and it is normal. My boobs are still a bit sore and I'm still quite tired but that's it really. The nausea and food-related symptoms have all gone... 🤷‍♀️

Sarah239 · 10/10/2021 09:24

@Jowd92 I don't think that's right, definitely push back on it, I was told on Thursday by midwife first scan is 11+2 to 14 weeks. The timing of the first scan is important as if you are getting screening tests it needs to be while the back of the neck is still translucent I believe to take nuchal measurements. So they can't just shift it back.

PsychoDeMayo · 10/10/2021 09:30

Sorry if this is a bit triggering for anyone, feel free to stay in your happy baby bubble and not read this!
Had a weird night last night. Was at an event and realised the mild cramping I’d had was getting a bit stronger. Went to the loo and there was blood. I’ve had brown spotting pretty much every day since before my positive test but I’ve been reassured by my ivf nurse (over the phone, no scan yet) that I shouldn’t worry. Last night was a lot of brown/black stuff and some red. Sorry for the excessive detail 🙈
I’ve had an MMC previously so popped a couple of paracetamol fully expecting the pain to get pretty full on and then more ‘stuff’ to pass. But… it didn’t. I stuck it out til the end of the event (going to the loo every 3 secs to check what was happening 🙈), have woken up this morning with no cramping and no bleeding 🤔
I’ve tried to keep a level head throughout this pregnancy because of the MMC so last night, while I was obviously disappointed, I was fairly pragmatic about being out of the running this time round. Now I don’t know what to think and am trying not to get too hopeful that things are still progressing, argh!
Have left a message for my nurse team so hopefully they get back to me ASAP. The other issue is I’m away from home for a few days so wouldn’t be a simple process of popping into my clinic if they think I need seen 🙈
Not sure I feel pregnant today and def didn’t yesterday, but I’ve not really had the strongest symptoms at any point.

Bubbasmama2017 · 10/10/2021 09:37

@GinnyBee and @Sarah239 that's good to know it's not just me. I can't really remember how things went with my daughter although I do remember not particularly enjoying pregnancy which is partly why it took us so long to decide to have a 2nd baby! I'm taking the lack of symptoms (sickness and food aversion) as a good thing today and trying to get a load of fruit and veg in me, my digestion has been shocking and I've already gained 6lbs in 9.5 weeks. My first pregnancy I gained 4 stone so would like to avoid that again!

Minster2012 · 10/10/2021 10:34

I just don't have symptoms anyway 😬only a touch of sore nipples /boobs and they are maybe fuller but that's it

@Jowd92 definitely ask about that, really doesn't seem right

@PsychoDeMayo hopefully if its not red then it's just snuggling in nicely. Maybe increase your progesterone? When is your viability scan with the clinic?

autumn321 · 10/10/2021 11:28

@Sarah239 @Bubbasmama2017 @GinnyBee I just hopped back on to this thread to see if anyone else was feeling the same as me, which it seems like you ladies are! I'm 7+4 today and since I got my BFP I've 'felt' pregnant every day in some shape or form (mainly nausea/light cramping/sore boobs/tiredness) but today I feel completely like my normal self. This is my first pregnancy and I'm trying not to worry but it's so hard not to!

GinnyBee · 10/10/2021 11:46

Ah, it's so reassuring hearing others having the same experience! We can't all be miscarrying, that would be statistically weird. So it must just be par for the course.

PsychoDeMayo · 10/10/2021 11:47

@Minster2012 there was some definite red in there last night, and not just a tiny bit 😕 scan is not til a week tomorrow but I’ve to go in for a blood test tomorrow now. Hopefully get some answers one way or another.

Minster2012 · 10/10/2021 13:44

@PsychoDeMayo everything crossed for hood bloods 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@GinnyBee that's a great point!

Hmumoftw0 · 10/10/2021 16:08

Im 10+5 and feel quite normal today! First time in forever 😆

Loubell19 · 11/10/2021 12:04

Don't want to trigger anyone at all but I had awful symptoms with nausea and exhaustion which peaked at 6/7 weeks, should be 9 weeks now and with my daughter the symptoms didn't peak until 9/10 weeks. I booked an early scan a few days ago and I'm only measuring 6 weeks 😔 there is a heartbeat but it's slow. They won't rescan me for another week and a half but I just know its over as I'm certain of my dates. I've still got all the other pregnancy symptoms so still feeling crap and just want it all to be over now 😪 feel so down and the thought of going to work tomorrow feels awful but this could drag on for weeks as not having any cramping or bleeding at all. Feels unreasonable to take potentially 3 weeks off when I already had sick leave for the severe nausea 😔 xx

SerendipitySunshine · 11/10/2021 12:18

So sorry to hear that @Loubell19

And how are you doing @PsychoDeMayo ?

Fingers crossed for you both.

PsychoDeMayo · 11/10/2021 19:31

Thanks for the well wishes @Minster2012
@SerendipitySunshine I had bloods taken today, they were happy with my hcg levels so now I’ve to go for a scan on Wednesday. Had another bit of blood just after speaking to them but seems to have stopped for now so trying not to think about it and just wait and see what Wednesday holds.

Minster2012 · 11/10/2021 19:52

@Loubell19 I'm totally with you on the waiting & it dragging out, I've been there and it's a horrible feeling, I'm sending all the hugs & 🤞🏻

@PsychoDeMayo that's really great! Weds isn't far away 🤞🏻🙌🏻

Loubell19 · 11/10/2021 20:55

Thanks so much @minster2012

@PsychoDeMayo glad to hear that, sounds promising. Hope the scan all goes well too xx

PsychoDeMayo · 11/10/2021 21:09

@Loubell19

Thanks so much *@minster2012* ❤

@PsychoDeMayo glad to hear that, sounds promising. Hope the scan all goes well too xx

Oh @Loubell19 I’m sorry. I’ve been there and it’s just the worst, the horrible in between-ness of it all. Sending love.
YummyMummyXoX · 11/10/2021 21:16

Have my scan on Nov 3rd! When is everyone else's? X

Sarah239 · 11/10/2021 22:03

@Loubell19 I'm so sorry to hear that... I would say don't feel guilty for taking time off, just look after yourself first and foremost. If I was in your position I wouldn't hesitate to take time off, it's the mental health side as well as the physical side. But everyone is different, maybe you think it will help take your mind off things to be at work xxx Fingers crossed you get some firm answers soon.

@PsychoDeMayo good luck on Wednesday, will be thinking of you!

I am 9w tomorrow, symptoms still definitely less than a couple of weeks ago which is driving me a bit mad with worry. It's so ironic isn't it? When you feel ill you want it to stop, when it does you want it to come back to reassure you 🤦🏻‍♀️ We told my husband's close family yesterday so I'm just praying we haven't tempted fate... I'm going in the office tomorrow for the first time in ages as I am going a bit stir crazy wfh and I think a change of scenery will do me good.

Ps. I didn't have any ill effects from my flu jab on Saturday! Was worried I might get a fever but felt fine. Just a tiny bit of a sore arm.

PsychoDeMayo · 11/10/2021 22:11

Thanks @Sarah239 You know symptoms can come and go and you definitely can’t have influenced anything by telling people! I say that knowing fine well I would be thinking exactly the same way as you tho 😂

Bubbasmama2017 · 12/10/2021 08:24

@Loubell19 sorry to hear about your scan I hope you're ok.
I keep thinking about booking another private scan I don't think I can wait 3 weeks until my NHS one. Just so worried.
