/according to my dates if correct I’m also due 22nd may and I have started with terrible sickness today everything I’ve had as come back I feel awful and so tired I could sleep standing up not good when I have 4 others to look after 2 of those being toddlers :(

Ashleighz88 · 02/10/2021 21:10

@Sarah239 I've an early private scan tomorrow too just to ease my anxiety (hopefully) I'll be 6+5 so hoping they will see something.

The anxiety has been horrendous, I am the same as you and just keep thinking there's nothing there. It's so hard to believe after 3 years TTC and ivf. I've had no sickness which worries me even more.

I hope your scan goes well tomorrow, I'll keep everything crossed for both of us 🤞🏻

Hyggeandhugs · 02/10/2021 22:15

So happy for everyone having their first scans and good luck to everyone whose first scans are coming up 😊

@Sarah239 I'm totally the same as you. I've an early scan on Monday (I'll be 6+1) and know I'll be emotional however it goes. It's a weird mix of nerves and excitement. Even though we've been trying for ages, it still seems really hard to comprehend that its real! And I feel so sort of guilty for feeling scared or overwhelmed, when it's something I've dreamed of for so long!

Bubbasmama2017 · 03/10/2021 07:45

@Ashleighz88 I hope your scan goes well today!

Bubbasmama2017 · 03/10/2021 07:46

@Sarah239 thank you, I feel on top of the world!

Bubbasmama2017 · 03/10/2021 07:49

@forestlovr I'm not entirely sure when you get the scan date, I'm seeing my midwife tomorrow and hoping she can shed some light on it as I'd really like to have a date to look forward to. I've read the scan can be done from 10-14 weeks but I'm sure on my previous pregnancy I was 12 weeks exactly so I've still got another 3.5 weeks to go if that happens again, which seems ages away!! Will definitely be booking a 16 week private scan to find out baby's gender as well

Etonmess20 · 03/10/2021 08:16

@Ashleighz88 we were also 3 years TTC, ivf cycle & I've had zero sickness too. I'm 8+2 now & have had 2 scans & everything is perfect & im only now starting to actually believe it.
Really difficult I know but try not to worry.
Got everything crossed for you for today, sending lots of love xx

Etonmess20 · 03/10/2021 08:16

@Sarah239 good luck with your scan today x

msunflower · 03/10/2021 08:22

Had another early scan yesterday and measuring a day ahead making me 8 weeks today. Everything looking really good, so pleased/relieved! ❤️

Sarah239 · 03/10/2021 08:24

@Ashleighz88 good luck! We were 2 years 3 months ttc and about to try IVF when this positive happened (I had booked my first appointment 5 days before BFP!). I feel very lucky if we don't have to go through IVF but also if this pregnancy doesn't work out our eligibility will set back to 0 and we will have to wait another 3 years for IVF (or go private). So in that sense it is extra terrifying!
Wishing for good news for both of us xx

Sarah239 · 03/10/2021 08:24

Thank you everyone for well wishes xx

Ashleighz88 · 03/10/2021 14:14

Thanks everyone, very nervous.

@Sarah239 hope yours went well today ❤️

Sarah239 · 03/10/2021 14:52

Hello! Yes it went well! Measuring 7w5d, 4/5 days ahead and we saw a heartbeat too :) it was magic. So amazing to think it's actually there inside!

I really worried myself beforehand as I took a pregnancy test (trying to reassure myself...!) this morning and the line was much lighter than last week. Apparently that can happen though! Def going to stop testing now!

I hope yours goes well @Ashleighz88 xx

aNewYorkerInLondon · 03/10/2021 15:08

@Sarah239, so happy your scan went well! It's so nice to know things are progressing! @Ashleighz88, I hope everything is wonderful for you tomorrow!

I've got a scan on Wednesday before my NIPT blood draw and I'm starting to get nervous again. I'm glad to be having another scan though. The clinic that's doing this scan doesn't allow anyone to attend with you, but DH is going to come along anyway and wait outside. If by chance something isn't ok, im not sure I could handle that alone.

Sarah239 · 03/10/2021 16:05

Here is the photo! There was a lateral view that looked more like a baby profile, but this one from the front is the one we got... the more I look at it though the more real and less blob-like it looks ❤️

EastMidsGem · 03/10/2021 16:29

@Sarah239 That’s fantastic news and a lovely photo Smile so glad everything went well.

Does anyone else read other threads on here and convince themselves something will go wrong? I wish I could be more positive!

Sarah239 · 03/10/2021 16:40

Thank you!

@EastMidsGem yes! I do! I think it's quite easy to become over-saturated with pregnancy chat too and it can increase anxiety. So I try and just keep a healthy distance now and only clock in if I am having a 'good day' or need a bit of support, as selfish as that is! I just can't deal mentally otherwise, and that's ok!

EastMidsGem · 03/10/2021 16:51

@Sarah239 Glad to know it’s not just me! I just read some of the threads sometimes and think that’s bound to happen to me even though I know statistically it’s rare and people who have had it happen probably look for other people in the same situation for comfort… if that makes any sense at all.

Also have no idea why I couldn’t figure out how to put my picture on the other day when there’s obviously an attach button!

Ashleighz88 · 03/10/2021 17:33

@Sarah239 big congratulations! Photo looks amazing, glad everything was good.

Ashleighz88 · 03/10/2021 17:36

Sorry pressed send too soon!

My scan went well, I was SO anxious I thought I was going to be sick, they said everything looked normal, we seen the heartbeat and measuring around the right size for our date. SUCH a relief, I hope we can relax a little bit now.

Sarah239 · 03/10/2021 17:44

Congratulations @Ashleighz88 me too! I do feel a lot better now. Such a relief just to see what's going on isn't it xx

Linking this to no one in particular as... even though it is a distressing topic, this chart has really helped me with anxiety. You can plug in your dates and it gives you the statistical probability with every day that passes of not having a miscarriage. Obviously it's just an indication and not a guarantee, but I have bookmarked my dates on it and it's helped me every day to see the probability of everything being ok gradually going up xx I hope it helps someone else! I heard about it on a pregnancy vlog.

Today at 7w5d I am apparently 94.4%. That feels good.

@Ashleighz88 that’s great news, congratulations Smile

Ashleighz88 · 03/10/2021 18:07

@Sarah239

Thank you so much for sharing this. I've just done it and I got 89.4% which is a lot higher than I thought it would be, really happy with that.

Ashleighz88 · 03/10/2021 18:10

@EastMidsGem thank you ❤️ and glad it's going well for you too. Great photo. I'm also like you, I've read every single thread on here the past few weeks, I even found myself on miscarriage section, it can be really toxic. I'm going to try and relax a bit now, hope you ladies can too.

Sarah239 · 03/10/2021 19:51

@Ashleighz88 you are welcome ❤️
