Hi, sorry I’ve not posted in a while I’ve been really struggling with morning sickness. My husband was working away last night and I must say being woken up at 5am by my boys and dealing with them alone and getting the eldest ready for school while being violently sick has been the low point of my week. I’m so tired too. I’d forgotten how exhausting the first trimester is. Had a sneaky McDonald’s breakfast after the toddler group I went to this morning so that helped!

I’ve booked a private scan for Saturday when I’ll be 7+3 but getting nervous about it now!

maymum94 · 16/09/2021 13:00

Oooh it's exciting seeing more scans happening another's been shared on the Facebook so excited I'm so happy for everyone 🥰🥰🥰

Hope everyone is having a good day so far.

@MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat excited for you for your scan on Saturday 🥰 I feel you on the low point about the sickness it's really affecting me my little girl is going without so much these past weeks her dad is at work from 5am so it's me all day I'm sick in bed or sofa she's only 16months old so basically sat playing with me sick in the background. It's been very difficult and I feel so guilty over it.

Hi Ladies - I think we are all in the same boat but I am feeling very overwhelmed by the waiting. I broke down and booked an early scan for Saturday afternoon, even though we already have a scan and NIPT set for three weeks from now, I just couldn't wait.

I'm feeling a little nauseated, but not nearly as much as last week, so I think this is what has me nervous. I know in the more evolved parts of my brain that symptoms come and go and and that can be perfectly normal, the more emotional, primal parts of my brain really want some reassurance. Thankfully, hubs is being super supportive about it, and I have all of you lovely ladies too, for which I am so thankful!

Really feel for those suffering from the morning sickness. I feel awful now constantly and it's making me enjoy things less. Going to speak to my GP again to see what can be done. Although keep looking at my little bean to keep me going ❤️. 7+3 today!

Due May 22

@aNewYorkerInLondon definitely think your right we're all in the same stage at the moment. Glad you booked a scan I Honestly think having to wait so long just makes nerves worse I must say I've felt better since I went for mine and I'm sure others will agree. I think a 6/7 week scan should be apart of our appointments so it reassures us a little in this early stage. Seems a few scans happening in Saturday so looking forward to seeing all your little bubba's 🥰🥰🥰

Ronnyrambler · 16/09/2021 14:23

Hello, I'm due May 17th. Considered an early scan to ease the worry but I think to get a scan for things like Down's syndrome then costs several hundred more on top. I think I will just have to sit tight until 12 weeks - unless anyone knows something I don't about getting those extra scans. I know on NHS it's all in one and of course free. I've heard friends became a little obsessive with scans and it only helped for that day...

Sarah239 · 16/09/2021 14:34

@Ronnyrambler welcome to the club! I'm not sure but I do think some screening tests are given on NHS, just probably not til 12 weeks, apart from initial blood tests. I know some things on scan can flag concerns like growth rate/amount of fluid etc. But I'm not sure what exactly is offered on NHS and what not, don't take my word for it! Maybe it is a case of paying extra for certain things but I will probably be led by NHS and their advice on what tests to have.

maymum94 · 16/09/2021 14:49

@Ronnyrambler definitely think people can get obsessed with scans in my last group there were some that got them every week. I myself got an early one and then did the nhs 12 week scan then 20week scan (which is the abnormality scan so this is when they check for anything which you can choice to have or opt out) then I think unless your high risk you don't get anymore. I had growth scans as I was high risk and think I will again so at 28,32,36 weeks they had me booked for 40 but I gave birth at 39.

Thank you for the well wishes ladies. Just waiting in A&E now. Doesn't help that I'm extremely nauseous at the same time :S. not feeling any cramps though so maybe that could be a good sign. Not sure. Will keep you updated. Thank you so much I appreciate you girls more than u can imagine. Hope you are all doing well today xx

ninadust · 16/09/2021 17:49

@Celina94 the fact you're still nauseas is definitely a good sign. And no cramping is positive also! Hopefully you'll be seen soon! Xxx
