@florencebunny I just rang the EPU directly - think I must be flagged on their system because they booked me straight in without further questions!

florencebunny · 15/09/2021 15:51

@itssquidstella oh fab thank you, I will give them a ring first! my GP was dismissive last time about me calling so early so didn't want to ring too early again!

itssquidstella · 15/09/2021 16:17

@florencebunny let me know how you get on :)

ttcally19 · 15/09/2021 16:43

Hey 👋 @maymum94 @itssquidstella I'm jumping over from my June thread I made and I've chatted to you both before.

So I'm joining the May thread but my edd is 2nd June. Don't think many others know so not many June ladies yet.

So I've been trying to Conceive for 8months we've had two mc in the last 6 months. I've got my BFp a few days back and lines have been getting strong so hopefully this time we get further then 7 weeks. Really hoping this is our rainbow baby it feels this last year has just been disappointment after disappointment so I want to be excited but also very cautious.

@maymum94 I tried joining the Facebook but link wasn't working could you share again ?

Positive21 · 15/09/2021 16:47

So I contacted my doctors on 31st august. Had my phone call from the midwife the other. My first midwife (phone) appointment is in 3 weeks time, my early scan is 1st october, getting my bloods done tomorrow and I just got my letter for my first NHS scan! 29th october so I will be 12+3. It's all finally moving along and I'm so excited!

maymum94 · 15/09/2021 16:47

@ttcally19 hey 👋 welcome 🤗 over to our thread congratulations again and sorry to hear about your journey so far that sounds rough. Wishing you a sticky baby 🥰🥰

Expecttheunexpected2022 · 15/09/2021 17:42

Hey everyone, had a really rough day with sickness. I had to call into work sick. I only started with this company in June and I'm on a 6 month probation. My manager knows I'm pregnant and told me not to worry and to take whatever time I need. But I still can't help but worry that it will impact me being kept on after the 6 month probation. It's a really good job with great perks and I'm scared of messing it all up.

Hope91 · 16/09/2021 05:57

Morning ladies,

Gosh lots been going on sorry I was off the radar yesterday.

@Sarah239 I am feeling nervous re Covid but I do t want to over panic. I think I will just be more and more careful as the pregnancy progresses and will probably go back to wearing a mask etc. I am back at work but using my own mug/ cutlery etc which I have been doing anyway :) I have been doing exactly the same with my hand on tummy willing little one to stick - you are totally right that getting attached won’t affect the outcome I think it’s so hard not to. The waiting is the worst isn’t it. I must say I found out Sunday the 4th and the first week was the slowest week of my life. Second week is going a little faster :)

@aNewYorkerInLondon how are you feeling now? It’s so nerve wracking when symptoms come and go isn’t it? I think it’s really normal though hope you are okay.

@Luawei eek congratulations on your 3+ it’s so reassuring isn’t it! I know what you mean about nhs vs actual time scales so confusing I am just going to go by nhs until I’m far along enough for them to date me otherwise :)

@maymum94 it really is amazing! I can’t wait even if its 10 mins :) so sorry to hear you are still feeling so sick

@Positive21 oh gosh those opks I hope to not have to use them again for a long time lol! Eek so exciting that you are 6+ weeks now so happy for you :) I keep rubbing my belly too then remembering it’s food I’m rubbing as my little bean is so tiny lol! It feels reassuring none the less :) so sweet about the baby grows :) I done believe in it being bad luck. I don’t think anything we do in terms of being hopeful and positive has a bad impact so that’s lovely you are both so excited :) that is so lovely that you will have a photo when you tell your nephew :) so exciting that all your nhs appointments are being booked in :)

@EJLM I have had my 2 jabs pre pregnancy however if I hadn’t I would have most likely had them as I think that’s what the guidelines are. Most importantly though it’s your choice :) I’m sure the midwife will talk you through it all :) Sorry to hear you have been feeling so nauseous. How is your little one doing with the chicken pox?

@haz452 glad to hear- not obviously that you had the symptoms but that they have reassured you :)

@EmilyMay89 so exciting that you have your scan through :) eeek :)

@LemonSwan that’s so exciting that you are further forwards. Congratulations:) you are welcome to stay but also totally get finding another group. So happy for you and wishing you the best of luck :)

@Agnitio the tiredness just seems to be getting more doesn’t it. Really sorry to hear you are feeling so much worry I feel anxious too. Tjay must have been really difficult reading through all of that at work. I think that’s a good idea if the scan will reassure you. We have ours booked sat at 6 weeks as I just want to know it isn’t ectopic and I lm hoping them I will feel reassured :)

@Elsie2021 welcome :) congratulations! There is quite a spread of dates in here :) I am so sorry to hear about your previous miscarriage and really hoping for a sticky little bean for you :)

@itssquidstella congratulations and welcome. I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriages. Really hoping for a sticky little bean for you. :)

@stephlouwaz sorry to hear about your bleed must have been worrying. So glad to hear you are okay though and so lovely that you got to see little one and heartbeat. How far along are you? I am fascinated that little beans so tiny have a heartbeat :)

@Skl2021 sorry that you have had the stress of a bleed to but so pleased all is okay and you got to see baby and heartbeat :) how far along are you :)? X

@Marden11302
congratulations and welcome

@StinWom it’s hard to explain to partners isn’t it about the nerves and waiting. Reallly hoping your scan goes well Sunday :)

@Aquarius1987 it can take a while for an appointment depending on which nhs trust I think

@Celina94 sorry to hear about the stress of dropping the plate I think baby will not be effected at all by this but can appreciate the worry- hope you are okay

@AllyCat31 so sorry to hear your skin has been so sore I hope it feels better soon. Exiting about booking in your scan :)

@wellitywell sorry to hear you have been feeling so nauseous

@msunflower I know exactly what you mean about wanting gravy on every meal lol!

@Jojo7979 I chased my midwife team yesterday and they said they don’t look at the forms until 6+ weeks and then can take 7-14 days to get a call so I think it can depend on nhs trust how long it takes. The wait feels so long doesn’t it x

@ninadust I think stick as close to true as possible and say you are feeling tired and rundown. I had Covid at the start of august and I have just been saying I’m still really tired after that (which I think is partially true) :) sorry you are feeling so nauseous

@florencebunny welcome and congratulations. I am so sorry to hear you have been through such a difficult time with the ectopic pregnancy. Really hoping for a sticky little bean for you

@ttcally19 welcome and congratulations. Really sorry to hear about your previous miscarriages. Really hoping for a sticky little bean for you

@Expecttheunexpected2022 I am so sorry to hear you are feeling so sick. It sounds like your manager has been really understanding. I know it’s hard but try not to worry. Keeping my fingers crossed for you x

Hope91 · 16/09/2021 05:57

@Mummatoislaxx so sorry to hear your news. Sending lots of love your way Flowers

Hope91 · 16/09/2021 06:06

So little update from me. I am nhs 5+5 today and from my opk predictions 21 dpo so maybe 5. Happy to have reached 5 weeks by ovulation and nhs now :)

Put my referral to midwife last week and chased yesterday was told in my nhs trust they don’t look at them until 6 weeks and can then take 7-14 working days for a reply.

Dr also referred me ‘urgently’ to the consultant last week as I’m on blood thinners and they should be doing an early scan incase of ectopic and I have had no contact yet. Midwife told me yesterday I would be lucky if I got a call before 12 weeks.

Yesterday I just felt pretty disillusioned with the care when they know the risks. Just feels like no prevention of risks just cure if the worst happens. But I have shaken myself off today and thinking at least I have a scan booked for Saturday and hopefully that will check that little bean is in the right place.

Dh keeps mentioning telling immediate family on Saturday after the scan but I am really unsure still at the moment- think I will see how I feel and what the outcome is and go from there :)

Symptoms today- boobs are feeling really heavy, bloated, back ache, tiredness and so thirsty all the time lol…

… however I am just so great full that little bean is still with me :) and would take this for all the weeks for them to be head safe.

(Just wish they would go quicker haha)

Hope you all have a lovely day- lots of love a very impatient mama to be x

Celina94 · 16/09/2021 09:02

Struggling big time with morning sickness. And I work in catering so it really isn't ideal - it's my own business so can't exactly call in sick at the moment with bookings already made :( The smell of food is killing me slowly.

I keep seeing that a combo of vitamin b6 and unisom helps??? I just don't know what unisom is I'm guessing it doesn't exist in the UK. Does anyone know anything about this ? If there's a UK alternative ?

Hope you are doing well ladies x

Celina94 · 16/09/2021 09:03

@Hope91 I know exactly what you mean about wanting time to go faster. I wish I could just shut my eyes and wake up at 12 weeks, happy to hear your little bean is doing well and all the best for your scan x

maymum94 · 16/09/2021 09:48

@Celina94 if the sickness keeps getting worse I'd recommend speaking with your gp, there is medication out there to help pregnant women through this and some women don't know they have hyperemesis until there in the worst part of it. I got told in my first pregnancy just wait until 12 weeks you will feel better between week 10-14 I spent in hospital on it drips because I hasn't been eaten it kept food down. I was medicated and told surely by 16 weeks you will be much better by 20 weeks I gave up listening to people telling me it will get better because it never did for me. I was sick until I gave birth to my daughter I was medicated from 20 weeks with 4 different medication and if I missed a single does I would Relaspe with vomiting and nausea. And it like like just a quick vomit here and there I mean vomiting up to 45 times a day, most days it would be stomach acid coming up as I barely kept anything down. I'm really aim for this to not happen again but I'm already absolutely awfully sick every day I move from my bed to bathroom to sofa all day long. My daughter plays most of the day in front on me as I'm not able to do much with her without vomiting. Please let this get better for all us sick.

There is a Hyperemesis (HG ) support group I'll share the link. www.facebook.com/groups/552751189494474/

@Hope91 thank you! I feel the same it's like the longest week ever!!
@itssquidstella booked my 6 week scan in for the 28th to be safe - almost feels real 😂

So sorry to hear this, it is not easy at all and working with all the smells of cooking must be so difficult. I know I was struggling with the smell of lunches in our work canteen and I was only in there for half an hour a day so I really feel for you :(. I am getting sick constantly all day until around 6pm even though there is nothing in my stomach. I have made an appointment to talk to my GP tomorrow about my sickness, maybe you could do something similar?
Lexber · 16/09/2021 11:35

Hi all, I joined the other May 22 group but seems quiet and everyone is here :)

5+5 today and exhausted with nausea waves which are leaving me even more tired and emotional- I sat crying last night and again today just because I'm tired 🤣 trying to hide this all from an 11 and 14 yr old is even more a struggle!
Anyone else struggling with concentration at work? I've been home since Tuesday wfh and feel like I'm doing nothing and just sat staring at my screen!?!

Dollywilde · 16/09/2021 12:03

Hello all! Due 14/05 with DC2, nice to meet you all Smile @Lexber I’m also 5 + 5! Sorry you’re having a hard time with nausea, mine is on and off but not as debilitating as others I think but OMG the tiredness. Been in bed by 9 since I found out on Monday. That said DD is only 13 months (yes, apparently we are insane!!) so I’ve just been tired for the last 2 years or so really Grin

Positive21 · 16/09/2021 12:28

@maymum94 That's great! It's becoming quite real now.

@Hope91 glad I'm not the only one! I'm so excited. It's a shame you're getting sun-standard treatment. It's not really excusable is it?

I'm struggling with anxiety today. I saw our niece yesterday who is 6 months old. Haven't seen her much and very happy to say she adored me which was so cute. But it's made me more excited and nervous too. Can't wait to finish work to just have a little cry. I keep thinking of all the negative what ifs and I don't want to. I want to be positive about this. Hopefully tomorrow is another day.

Welcome @Lexber and @Dollywilde ☺️

maymum94 · 16/09/2021 12:41

Welcome @Lexber and @Dollywilde congratulations

And I think your right most of the May ladies are in this thread I think @Lexber otherwise in the Facebook group too. There is quite a few of us now it's so lovely 🥰
