Wonderful news @ninadust

Hope91 · 11/09/2021 16:38

@ninadust I am so so pleased. I hope that you and little one have a rest this evening and so so pleased to hear you are both okay xx

Hope91 · 11/09/2021 16:46

@Hansoo congratulations and welcome x

haz452 · 11/09/2021 16:50

@ninadust So glad everything is ok xx

Luawei · 11/09/2021 16:58

@ninadust That's great news, you must be so relieved x

LetsDoTheTango · 11/09/2021 18:41

@ninadust I'm so pleased to hear everything is okay, what a frightening experience for you Sad how are you feeling? Flowers

@Positive21 I'm so sorry you've had a rough time with your mental health too, but so glad to hear you are feeling better. It's been such a strange and unsettling 18 months hasn't it? I have accepted that I will always have good days and bad days, so if I have a depressive episode I try and tell myself that it will pass. Of course, it's not always that easy when you're in the thick of it. I'm sorry you had to retire your horse, that must have been really difficult. Are you still able to seeing him/her? I truly believe animals have a sixth sense and always seem to know when we are down. I have two cats and they don't leave my side if I'm not feeling myself.

@Hope91 thank you for your kind words about the BMI element, I am taking the same approach as you: walking every day and eating as healthily as my constant nausea will currently allow. The antenatal care I have received so far has been totally non judgemental, but I have long struggled with food and weight issues so I think I'm naturally self critical Sad

How are you feeling in general? Have you heard back from the specialists yet? I can totally identify with the days crawling by so slowly. DH and I are currently away on holiday and I've never known a trip drag on for this long! However I've been feeling downright rotten with nausea so all I want is my own bed Sad

I'm sorry you are suffering with bad nausea too @maymum94, @RosettaTheGardenFairy and @MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat - it does make you totally miserable and I am with you in solidarity Star thank you for the tips @aNewYorkerInLondon, I will try the almonds to see if they make a difference. It's all I can do to get through the day without vomming at the moment.

Congratulations to all the new joiners too, hope you are feeling okay Smile it's so great to have this thread, as we are all going through the same thing right now! X

Hope91 · 11/09/2021 18:50

@LetsDoTheTango I think that’s the best approach isn’t it :) being as healthy as possible. Bless you I am so sorry you are suffering so much with nausea. How far along are you now?

Specialist referrals have been sent but not been contacted yet so feeling a little lost. I am hoping once I get to speak to them I will feel a lot better :) and have like a plan of action :)

I’m general I feel exhausted as ridiculous as that sounds. I’ve also had quite alot of cramping today which (although I read is normal) just gives me nerves every time. Hoping to feel better after scan next Saturday at 6 weeks if it confirms not ectopic to put my mind at rest.

When do you get back from holiday? I really hope you are feeling better soon xxx

Positive21 · 11/09/2021 19:08

Congratulations @Hansoo!

@LetsDoTheTango hasn't it just. But things are looking up for most people now, it's nice to see life returning to some form of normality. Yes I still see my horse daily. I've had him for 19 years so he's my absolute baby but knowing I'll have to make a decision for him is heartbreaking. I'm trying not to think about it until he lets me know.

@Hope91 I'm exhausted too and have been having aches today! Not quite like period pains but not sharp/shooting either. They come in waves, have had it about 2-3 times now. Hoping all is ok and just trying to remind myself things need to prepare to make room 😅

Hope91 · 11/09/2021 19:20

@Positive21 that’s it exactly! Goodness it’s just an absolute roller coaster isn’t it. I’m finding such a fine line between so excited and so anxious it’s so strange. All I want to do is sleep lol- in fact I wish I could sleep and wake up in 8 weeks time to be honest :) x

MillyMcg · 11/09/2021 19:48

I totally agree with you all about the days going so slow! I caved in today and booked an 8 week scan for the end of September, my NHS scan isn’t until 2nd November!! So definitely couldn’t wait that long! How are you all doing? I’m 5 + 3 today and so exhausted! Luckily no sickness yet though, sounds like some of you are having a tough time of that!
@ninadust glad to hear everything is okay! Hope you’re feeling better soon x

Jojo7979 · 11/09/2021 20:51

So glad to hear everything is ok @ninadust it must have been so worrying for you.

Hope we all get some decent sleep tonight, I had 2 hours in bed this afternoon as my little boy woke up at midnight throwing up, so he ended up in our bed and not sleeping. So I napped when he napped today! He is normally a really good sleeper so it was a bit of a shock to the system. 🤞 for a good night for all of us

ninadust · 11/09/2021 22:02

Thank you for your support and well wishes girls. Feel grateful to be going through this journey with you x

@Hope91 fingers crossed you don't have to wait too much longer to hear back from the specialists 🤞 I am exactly the same as you, with wanting to have a plan in place. All the waiting is so hard isn't it? We just want to know if our little babes are okay! Wishing you a speedy week in the lead up to your first scan Smile

I too am feeling utterly exhausted, so you're not alone there. At the mo I am sleeping for 10 hours each night, then have a nap a few hours after waking, then another nap in the afternoon! I certainly won't have that luxury when I go back to work on the 20th Grin

We fly home on the 15th and I have to say, I can't wait. Which is awful as we've needed this holiday so badly but I've not felt myself at all. When you feel poorly you just want to be in familiar surroundings don't you?

I'll be 7 weeks gone on Monday, how about you? I've booked a private scan for 10 weeks and if all is well, DH and I have decided we'll tell family then. Friends and colleagues will know at 12 weeks. It seems like such a long way off right now!!!

@Positive21 that's great your horse is still a big part of your life, 19 years is such a long time. You must have so many lovely memories! The hardest thing about having a bond with an animal is letting them go when the time is right. Like you, I try not to think about it too much but I'm sure your boy will tell you when it's time. For now, enjoy every minute you spend with him Smile

I've been experiencing cramping on and off as well, and my back has been aching a lot too. I think it's all to do with the hormonal changes, but tbh right now I feel like a bag of crap Grin and because it's my first pregnancy I'm second guessing everything! I can totally identify with the anxiety. It's reassuring to hear that others are feeling the same way too Star

@MillyMcg that's exciting that you have your first scan booked in! I am finding it really helpful to focus on those little milestones to get myself through this first trimester, because the days sure are dragging. I think I'm driving my lovely DH a bit mad because he's the only person I can currently talk to about it all. Come Wednesday my sister will know too so that will be one more person to talk to Smile I'm glad you haven't been hit by any nausea yet, hopefully you are one of the lucky ones 🤞

@Jojo7979 sorry to hear your little boy has been poorly - hopefully everyone in your household is sound asleep now Wink

@Piggers946 congratulations on your news and welcome to the gang! It sounds like you have had a tough journey to get here, I'm so sorry. How are you feeling?

Positive21 · 12/09/2021 03:07

Have just finished work and finally in bed. It's getting harder to stay awake!

@Hope91 exactly the same! But I'm also reminding myself it's already been two weeks since we found out which actually has gone pretty quick!

Fingers crossed for a sticky baby @Piggers946 💕

@LetsDoTheTango I always dreamt my children would ride him when he was a grey old man. That likely won't happen but hopefully he can meet one of them at least 🥺 they really are wonderful 💕

My first too, I get excited with symptoms because it feels reassuring that something is going on, and then I get nervous incase it's going wrong 🤦🏼‍♀️

I'm just keeping myself going with a countdown to the first scan. 19 days to go!

Hope91 · 12/09/2021 05:22

@MillyMcg so exciting about the scan :) the exhaustion is crazy isn’t it :)

@Jojo7979 bless you I hope you are okay and your little boy is feeling better? I don’t think my body allows sleep after 4am now lol!

@ninadust you are welcome we are all here to support one another :) so nice to be able to share our journeys :)

@Piggers946 welcome congratulations :) so sorry to hear about your missed miscarriage and chemical previously. Hoping so much for a sticky little bean for you. I think our dates are about the same I am 5+1 today due 15/05 :) thanks so much for the fb group I think we have a fb group in here too that @maymum94 posted at the start :) I’m personally staying off fb until I’ve told family and friends then will join the groups :) I think if the thread runs to it’s post limit we will be able to make a part 2 in the meantime :)

@LetsDoTheTango thanks so much lovely same for you :) I’m a planner so struggling with the total lack of control I have haha! I know exactly what you mean- when you are unwell there is no place like home and your home comforts. So hope you are feeling better soon :) ah 7 weeks that’s so exciting :) I’m only 5+1 currently :) like you said though having little things to look forward to keeps you going. So exciting for you telling family at 10 weeks x

@Positive21 that is so true! I’m hoping after 12 weeks the rest of the weeks will go as fast as the rest of 2021 has lol!

Hope everyone is well xxx

Sunshinealligator · 12/09/2021 06:44

Morning, so happy to be able to join this thread! I've been struggling with infertility for 12 years. And here I am, 5+6 pregnant.
I am so bloody excited! I've referred to the midwife, told all the people closest to us. I'm knackered and have constant back and boob ache, but so so happy.
I can't wait for the early scan. That will put my mind at ease a bit. 6 tests in, and it's still not sinking in properly.

Hope91 · 12/09/2021 07:27

@Sunshinealligator congratulations and welcome. Gosh I am so happy for you to be able to join after what sounds like such a long journey for you. Hoping for a sticky little bean for you lovely :) when is your wary scan booked for? So exciting that you have told those closest I bet they are so happy and excited for you xx

maymum94 · 12/09/2021 09:36

Hello lovely ladies!

Firstly congrats to all and wishing you all the best.

I'm due on 16th May - about 5+3 days. Had a few cramps here and there and lots of lower back pain. Sleep has been awful, but getting better and boobs a bit bigger. A bit of nausea from time to time but not too bad and needing a wee a lot.

Probably going to get an early scan privately at 8 weeks and then a harmony test and scan done at 10 weeks for peace of mind (not high risk, but just want to do so!).

Hope everyone is doing ok and getting some vitamin D while they can!

xoxo

Positive21 · 12/09/2021 10:08

Have just tentatively joined the fb group, I'm still wary because we haven't told any family yet but it will be so nice to have a group with all of you 🥰

Congratulations @Sunshinealligator!

How is everyone feeling this morning?

maymum94 · 12/09/2021 10:10

@IKIKIK welcome and congratulations 🥳

@Positive21 totally get what you mean. The groups private so no one can see that you've joined but I can completely understand. This early stage of pregnancy is always nerve wrecking.

How is everyone today?

My sickness is still awful as ever. Just trying to get through these next 5 weeks until I can sort things with my specialist further.
