Hit post too early..

hope you’re all keeping well and I find @aNewYorkerInLondon’s tip of not keeping your stomach empty or really full the best way to deal with the sickness!

EmilyMay89 · 10/09/2021 21:04

I caved and booked an early scan for 29th I should be 8+1 then, and just got my first midwife appointment through for 8th October. Things feeling a bit more exciting!

I hope everyone is doing ok!!

StinWom · 10/09/2021 23:14

I’m supposed to be 6+1 but just redid a clearblue digital test and I’m quite worried that it is still showing 2-3 weeks, same as when I initially tested a week ago… My BF convinced me to book an early scan to put my mind at ease but I didn’t want to book it too early either, so I compromised and got an appointment for the 19th. It’s going to be hard to wait until then, I’m already stressed enough like that, and that test result isn’t helping 😔

ninadust · 11/09/2021 01:52

I have just woken up in the night with bleeding. I am absolutely heartbroken 😭

Just been to a&e but it was an 8 hour wait, managed to get a private scan at 2 instead but bleeding has got worse and now cramping. I think I know what's happening 😭

msunflower · 11/09/2021 13:33

Hi everyone
Just found out that I'm pregnant this morning, due around 16th May and nearly 5 weeks. Booked in for an early private scan at 7 weeks 5 days. Have been trying for 15 months and was about to start IVF so I'm very happy but also in shock still! ShockSmile

aNewYorkerInLondon · 11/09/2021 13:56

Welcome and congratulations @msunflower!

@positive21 I had no idea lol I think I need to invest in the app as that will save me a lot of time :) Bless that’s fair enough will be nice to tell them when he is there :) I think we will either do it next Saturday as it just seems perfect with everyone there (but only 6 weeks) or at 12 weeks. Dh and I have discussed because I am such a high risk pregnancy if I ended up in hospital before we told them that would be an awful way for them to find out. But it will all ride on whether we are lucky enough to see a heartbeat next Saturday to be honest

@rugbygirl1 bless you I think the thing is so many symptoms like bleeds and cramping can cause worry. It does defo feel like a waiting game that’s for sure

@ls2020 huge congratulations on your 3+ that is amazing news. I reached 5 today and still 2-3 so will try in a few days time :) ah that’s so exciting bet you can’t wait for your scan next week :) I feel like time has NEVER been slower lol! Congrats on your new role. Yea it’s mad isn’t it how early the tiredness hits

@emilymay89 that’s so exciting! You have done better than me I have mine booked for 6 weeks I just could not wait! It must all feel more real when midwife appointments etc come through :)

@stinworm bless you! I think the problem with tests is they sometimes cause more anxiety. I am a serial tester but for example I’m 5 weeks today (still 2-3) the clear blues are really dark but the cheapies barely have a line it’s so faint- so I sit and google all the answers to this at 4am. The weekly test online said it can take a while to pick up and if you miscalculate your ovulation slightly that could be why. Fingers crossed the scan gives you that reassurance you need lovely. I know what you mean about not wanting to book to early. I have booked mine for next Saturday (6 weeks) but because I am high risk for ectopic I just wanted to know everything was in the right place ASAP

@msunflower congratulations and welcome xx

Hope91 · 11/09/2021 14:08

@ninadust I have been thinking of you all day- really hope you are okay xxx

ninadust · 11/09/2021 15:36

By some absolutely miracle the baby is there with a heartbeat measuring 6+5!!! I have a sub-chorionic bleed 'threatened miscarriage', but baby is not affected and hopefully it will all be okay. I'm in shock, there was so much blood we were certain it was a miscarriage! So relieved. Xx

aNewYorkerInLondon · 11/09/2021 15:40

@ninadust, I'm so pleased for you! A dear friend of mine had that about 10 years ago. I took her to the hospital and it was so scary. Her pregnancy continued normally and she has an absolutely beautiful son! Thanks

ninadust · 11/09/2021 15:45

@aNewYorkerInLondon oh that's such wonderful news and it really gives me hope!! It's been such a scary experince but I feel so lucky!!! Xx

MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat · 11/09/2021 15:52

@ninadust so glad to hear that. My sister had a sub chorionic haemorrhage. Big gush of blood at 10 weeks but the baby was fine. She had no further issues and little girl is 6 now. Hope all is ok. Take it easy, you must be exhausted today after all that.

EmilyMay89 · 11/09/2021 16:05

@ninadust that's wonderful news!!!

Positive21 · 11/09/2021 16:27
