Anyone else find out there due in May 22 and want to share our journeys

Hi, please can I join? I’m 5wks 4 days, baby no. 1 and a happy surprise as we were just starting to think about TCC, although at first I was in shock and struggled to get my head around it. But we will be fine.

I’ve self referred to antenatal services at the hospital where I’d like to be looked after so I guess they will come back to me with an appointment date.

No major symptoms yet, apart from big boobs! I think I might start feeling nauseous soon though.

Welcome @Emily199034 very similar to me. Found out Sunday and I think 4 weeks yesterday. My first pregnancy ever so very nervous! How are you handling it? Any symptoms yet?

Congratulations! I'm good thanks. I'm over thinking and over googling everything though haha. Yeah I have mild nausea at times throughout the day, sore boobs and need to wee more. That's about it, how about you?

I thought I’d let do a little update here, I did the Facebook group too.

So got to see my gp yesterday to be treatment for Hyperemesis. I had this with my first baby and now already early days I’m convinced it’s happening again. I’ve been given one of my medications I was on last time but can’t start the other until 12weeks but also been referred back to my same specialist so I’m happy about that. I’m hoping not to be hospitalised this time round and have a much easier pregnancy for the sake of my 15month old already.

How’s everyone else doing?

@Emily199034 my boobs are slightly bigger (half my sports bras don’t fit though) and I seem to get nausea everyday between 9-10am and tired but none of it is too bad and I’m reassured I’ve got symptoms really cause I’m so nervous about it sticking! 100% going to get an early scan at about 8 weeks! I think it’s the only way to keep me calm haha

Yes I went out and got some new bras yesterday just cotton sport ones because my underwired ones was annoying me. I was thinking about booking one for about 8 week too. Can't wait till 12 ha

Is anyone else finding themselves just not sure what to do right now?! You get that bfp and then you just wait around and it feels like time is going so slowly!!

I'm usually such a practical person and I like to plan things. But it's way too soon to plan things etc!!

@emilymay89 - same as you, and as you mentioned earlier, we've also been looking at various car options now we'll have 3 in car seats.

I'm spending my time planning my maternity wear style as I've never been visibly pregnant in colder months before, so that's taking up some time.

I got my BFP a week ago today and have done ZERO work since then, and I mean zip!! I just cannot concentrate at all; going to the office tomorrow for the first time this year, just to force myself to earn my salary.

As ridiculous as it sounds I’ve just ordered some maternity leggings. I’m so bloated everything is tight!

I currently have a Mini Cooper and I can't even fit a small food shop in the boot, the entry into the back is tiny. I've always had a mini so going to have to rethink! It's frustrating as I hardly need to use my car these days, as work is walking distance just down the road! When do you think you'll get a new one?

I have also done no work whatsoever!! Keep googling all kinds of things for when I can plan!

@maymum94 well I’m glad I’m not the only one 😂 I got rid of all my maternity clothes after my second was born as I thought we were done but changed my mind. Wish I’d kept it now!

Glad to hear you’ve been given something for the morning sickness but annoying you have to wait until 12 weeks for the other one. Hope you don’t suffer as badly this time around. My morning sickness with my first was by far the worst but stopped at 15 weeks but strangely with my second it was less intense but lasted my whole pregnancy. I’m wondering what will happen this time. Hopefully not as bad with 2 kids to look after.

Sorry ladies this may be TMI - but is anyone finding their pants are really wet? I noticed today how wet mine were. It's a clear fluid and doesn't smell - not sure if I should be concerned?

Hey guys, I have been pretty quiet on here since my first post. I am 5 weeks and 3 days. Morning sickness started last Thursday and was quite manageable but this week it has turned into 'most of the day sickness', I am usually not able to keep any food down until about 6 or 7pm. Thankfully I am able to sip water through the day and it seems to stay down, but not food. Then in the evening I seem to come around and have been able to manage a bit of dinner. So that's good. But the mornings until mid afternoon are by far the worst, it's a mixture between feeling car sick and hungover and nothing will stay in my stomach. Anyone else struggling with sickness and have any tips for me? I have tried the usual crackers, ginger biscuits etc beside the bed to eat before I get up with no luck. On the upside I have an appointment with my GP on Monday who will then confirm my pregnancy, do some checks and refer me for my 12 week scan.

@ninadust I've noticed some discharge today and yesterday. Slightly milky colour and no smell, but I keep feeling very wet down there 😅

Hi don't mind if I join you? I've been trying to conceive my rainbow baby after 3 miscarriages and finally got my positive a couple of days ago! Feeling so nervous I will deffo be booking an early scan, when do you usually get one 6 weeks or 8?

I should be due 9th of May not sure of cycles as were all messed up after mc's

Seems like everyone’s getting on well! I’m 4+4 and did my second digital today and got 2-3 weeks so feel excited this morning. Get to to ring this hospital and let them know too 🥰

Sorry to hear there’s been quite a bit of sickness already but hopefully good signs! I’m thankfully just nauseous rather than being sick and mostly keeping food down.
@maymum94 glad the GP has given you something to keep you through.

@MummaRainbowbaby2 welcome! I’m an IVF patient and they do me an early scan at 7 week mark so I would aim for round then as they can’t always see much at 6 weeks.

@RosettaTheGardenFairy that’s so funny about work! I’ve just moved roles in my business and was our busy week this week so I’m looking forward to some weekend down time just googling and prepping now!!

@EmilyMay89 yes I’m the same, I don’t want to get over eager now maybe before my first scan but also I want to start planning and picking stuff! I need to buy myself something so I at least feel I’ve done something 😂

@AllyCat31 can’t believe you’re moving house while like this. I was fast asleep at 8.30pm last night 😳 I’m so glad my OH is good at chores because I don’t think I’ve done anything, let alone pack my house up! I’m trying to do a 20-30 minute walk each day and hoping to keep up with that to help combat some of the fatigue.

@Positive21 that’s a really good idea although 10 more days til 6 weeks still feels like ages away… I can never be happy 😂😂 I’ve used up all my FRER now. Finally got control stronger than test line so don’t think I’m going to bother with them. I have 3 more digital week ones (1 from an open box) so going to do that one next week and if I get a 3 plus I think I’ll stop testing all together then ☺️

I know, it’s madness @LS2020 but it’s worse is that we move again before Christmas. This is just a temporary move. Thankfully there’s not much to go so I’m just doing a few hours after work but I have 100% noticed that my husband is pissing me off much more than usual when he doesn’t pull his weight and I’m still packing…while pregnant 😱
What’s funny is we were dreading TTC while living with family so I guess this is better 😂

@LS2020 I want to do the same as you but don't have any digital ones. My oh was questioning my sanity with the amount I've already taken 😅 I can't help it! I need to just chill out. I feel like it would be way easier to pretend I'm not pregnant but I feel like that makes me seem ungrateful which I'm not at all! 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

@MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat I hadn't long stopped wearing them but new not to through as we've only had one so always knew we'd want at least a second think we may try for 3 but wait a bit longer I think after this one.

I woke up with a few sore cramps during the night which was making me feel sick 😭 is this normal? Was totally fine this morning and done another test this morning which seems fine am 5+3 xx

I haven’t had any sickness yet which concerns me a bit, I don’t even feel that tired, I’m 5+5 today.

I do have a decreased appetite though, and a bit of a watery mouth. I think some sickness would be reassuring to be honest. My only symptom is swollen boobs! Has anyone else not had any major symptoms yet?
