@lowkeyloopy so glad someone else 16 week appt is so late I'll be almost 18 weeks at mine.

overtherainbo · 23/08/2021 21:17

I haven't even been given my 16 week appointment yet 🥺

overtherainbo · 24/08/2021 09:24

I just don't feel pregnant.. is anyone else feeling like this?

I know the feeling - sometimes I feel pregnant whilst other times I don't so I get a bit worried but just trying to be positive and happy :)

Anyone got recommendations for good maternity jeans?

Bought some other maternity bits yesterday but it was all so frumpy, going to size up for now, but want to invest in some decent jeans!

StephanieJ · 24/08/2021 10:56

@feb220222 I've not bought jeans but I got some maternity demin shorts from h&m and they're amazing! Really comfy and don't look like maternity at all. Asda ones I wouldn't recommend as for me personally they look really baggy and not that great tbh xx

StephanieJ · 24/08/2021 11:00

@feb220222 I did get some under bump ones from primark that fit lovely on legs but the under the bump bit does stick in a bit but they do have over the bump too but they only had black ones and I wants blue 😂

haidri · 24/08/2021 11:46

What are kicks supposed to feel like? This is my first!

ItsMeantToBe · 24/08/2021 12:14

@haidri like butterflies or pops at first. A lot of people mistake them for gas at first until they become more frequent 🙂

Topshop over bump Jamie jeans are really good.

ASOS overbump ridley are also good!

Winterfellismyhome · 24/08/2021 14:42

Just curious… is anyone planning on not finding out the gender?

Peachi82 · 24/08/2021 16:59

@Jenc1111
We want to have a surprise again.
Even though finding names was awful first time round. We decided on our son's name while I was in labour as my boyfriend refused to discuss boy's names all the way through the pregnancy as he thought it'll be a girl. Sighs.

Definitely feel this - symptoms pretty much gone and left just feeling quite chubby round my middle! Just over 15 weeks and wondering when I might start to feel the little avocado in there - caved and booked a private scan at the weekend.
catinthehat12 · 24/08/2021 18:51

Also starting to feel not pregnant! 14 weeks tomorrow. My symptoms are waning and it feels like such a long wait until the next scan. Think I will go private for the sex at 16/17 weeks.

I am starting to have a lot of aching and stretching, not quite period pains cos they’re not deep enough, but just feeling very achey and heavy across my lower stomach. Anyone else feeling like that?

overtherainbo · 24/08/2021 19:05

@LadyBecks22 @catinthehat12 I agree, it almost feels fizzled out, symptoms have gone which reassured me at one point, I'm also feeling crampy pains but the midwife keeps telling me they are round ligament pains.

I've booked a private scan this weekend, I'll be 16+2 and I'll be finding out the gender so I've got my fingers and toes crossed that everything will be ok

AtomicSquash · 24/08/2021 19:28

Hi all, sorry to butt in but I would love to be a late joiner! Had thought I was going to be having a March baby, who will be our second, but had my dating scan last week and they gave us a due date of 27th Feb so further along than I thought.

We are debating going for the early private gender scan but reckon we might just be able to hold our nerve until the 20 week scan and save some pennies.

Skybooks · 24/08/2021 20:02

@jenc1111 we wont be finding out, I'm 50/50 about it but didnt want to last time and hubby defo doesn't want to find out so I'm going to enjoy the suprise this time too.

Yes re the achy / stretching tummy! I've been experiencing this more so over the last week or so and agree they seem different to period pains - can't really explain it but I agree the aches, stretches and twinges seem and feel different.
LaudamusTe · 24/08/2021 20:58

Hello everyone,
Our baby is due Feb 25th I'm glad I found this thread as I can relate to everyone's post. Has anyone found out the sex of their baby yet? The results of my blood test comes back later this week which will show whether I'm having a boy or a girl. Will post update soon. Is it too soon to feel the baby move around? Haven't felt anytjing yet at 13 weeks now.

catinthehat12 · 24/08/2021 21:33

@overtherainbo and @miracle2022 thanks for confirming you have felt this too. It’s just so uncomfortable! I have started to get a bit of a bump, so I guess something has to be growing and stretching.

@LaudamusTe Haven’t felt anything yet and I am 14 weeks tomorrow, but this is my first and think my placenta was mainly forming at the front so I am not much help.

haidri · 24/08/2021 22:01

I'm dreading the wait until 20 week scan..

Rmw99 · 24/08/2021 23:04

It's a girl 🥰🥰
