@Jellybean8 mines been since around 12 weeks too! And similar to you couple of days mine have had me the point of nearly throwing up! I’ve not got my next midwife appointment till early September so might give her a ring next week, mine usually does shift with paracetamol but like to don’t want to be taking them all the time!

Sunshine8888 · 22/08/2021 09:39

@babyD20 I’m also 16 weeks today, had my midwife app on Friday and heard the heartbeat 💓 so lovely!

I was going to find out gender at 20 week scan but my husband has just told me he’s booked a surprise gender scan for later today!! I can’t believe it! And because it’s private we can take our daughter with us too. I feel excited and nervous all at once 🤗

Sunshine8888 · 22/08/2021 09:41

@Jellybean8 I’m also getting headaches! I don’t remember having this with this my daughter. I’ve been taking paracetamol which helps for a bit but then it comes back again. Very annoying!

overtherainbo · 22/08/2021 16:16

@Sunshine8888 good luck with your scan today, how exciting 😍

Sunshine8888 · 22/08/2021 16:22

@overtherainbo ahh thank you! We’ve found it we are having a baby boy 💙 organs checked and everything looking good, we are absolutely over the moon!

overtherainbo · 22/08/2021 16:43

@Sunshine8888 that's amazing news, congratulations! We have our private gender scan for Saturday morning, it's going so slowly🌈🤍

babyD20 · 22/08/2021 17:11

We are having a baby girl! Little darling didn't want to uncross her legs for ages so had to do a lot of walking! 💗

Im finding out the gender on Thursday super excited but going very slow 😂
Nub predictors have said girl so we’ll see 🤞

Lowkeyloopy · 22/08/2021 19:19

Hey ladies, hope everyone’s having a nice Sunday evening! Just wondering how far along everyone will be at their “20 week” scan? Just got my letter and I’ll be 21 weeks! The booklet thing they sent says it should be at 18-20 weeks. I’m sure it won’t make a difference but it’s so frustrating to have to wait! Particularly as I talked myself out of a private reassurance scan because it wasn’t medically necessary.

My 16 weeks appointment is also at 17 weeks.. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Not feeling patient here! Is listening to the heartbeat standard at those appointments or does it vary?

Thanks!

torchh · 22/08/2021 19:35

@feb220222

Hi! I’m just over 14 weeks and wondered if anyone else is suffering with headaches? For the last week I’ve pretty much woken up every day with one, had a pretty easy ride symptom wise up to now, but not sure how normal a constant headache is 😥
Yes massively!
Sunshine8888 · 22/08/2021 19:53

@Lowkeyloopy I think listening to the heartbeat 💓 varies with each trust.

@babyD20 aww congrats! Great pic! It makes it feel so much more real doesn’t it?! I feel like I can start thinking about names and begin bonding!

I haven’t had my 20 week scan date through yet. Can’t wait to see my baby boy again! 🥰💙

glasspaw · 22/08/2021 19:54

@Lowkeyloopy I’ve not heard the heartbeat yet (I’ve had two scans, a private one at 10 and NHS at 12). I thought I would at the 12. Saw confirmation that the heart was beating but it’ll be so nice to hear it!

catinthehat12 · 22/08/2021 19:58

I have started to suffer with headaches a lot more since 12 weeks, which is odd as I drank a lot less during the first trimester as I had such awful nausea so thought the dehydration would give me headaches.

My nausea has also changed this past week, I am not not often sick before eating, but now I can eat a full meal and then suddenly as I finish I end up throwing it all straight back up. It’s very frustrating.

overtherainbo · 22/08/2021 20:20

@babyD20 oh congratulations!

@rose I'm Saturday it's going to be a very long week haha

@Lowkeyloopy I'll be 20 weeks exactly

Jenc1111 · 22/08/2021 21:29

Is anyone else’s 16 week appointment by phone? I’m sure the midwife said mine would just be a call but wondering if I’ve got it wrong.

Rmw99 · 22/08/2021 21:54

Ahh congratulations girls. We find out Tuesday what we're having. I'm pretty sure it's a girl, will be super shocked if it's not.

Iv been getting headaches every day for the past 2 weeks also feeling dizzy. I'm still suffering bad wjth nausea, I thought it would of eased by now. Its making me feel quite low to be honest as its constant. X

Peachi82 · 23/08/2021 08:24

@Jenc1111
Yes, my 16 week appointment is per phone. So I guess they won't check heart beat Grin

I see a consultant at the 7th of September, not sure if they check us then.

feb2022 · 23/08/2021 08:27

@babyD20 aww congratulations on your little girl 💜

babyD20 · 23/08/2021 08:29

They gave us the 4D preview as well. Obviously not that clear as she's so little but how cute 💗

@Sunshine8888 a little boy! 😍 I'm 90% sure I'm having another boy, my 12 week scan is almost identical to my other two little monsters at 12 weeks 😊

feb2022 · 23/08/2021 08:31

I'll be finding out in about 2 weeks time, I'm so exited!

babyD20 · 23/08/2021 10:15

Also I forgot to add. The lady said my placenta was on the front no an anterior placenta. I'm a little gutted as I'm not sure when I'll be able to feel her move. Had anyone had any experience with an anterior placenta or know anyone who has had? Smile

feb2022 · 23/08/2021 10:29

@babyD20 I was anterior last pregnancy and it didn't make much of a difference to me, I was posterior with my first, by 18-20 weeks I was still feeling little rolls and wiggles like my first, the only thing I found more difficult was much later on the rib kicks hurt because I didn't have much cushioning by the placenta 😂... his foot was under my ribs for the last 8 weeks of my pregnancy... he still likes to kick me now actually 🤔

Sunshine8888 · 23/08/2021 15:28

@babyD20 I had an anterior placenta with my little girl. Like @feb2022 I started feeling movements around 18-20 weeks and suffered rib pain later on.

Lowkeyloopy · 23/08/2021 19:34

Called the midwives today and got
the answer to the 16 week appointment heartbeat question! Apparently it varies from trust to trust and mine don’t do it as standard, but the midwife will try to listen if I ask her to. Hopefully the fact I’ll actually be 17.5 weeks at the appointment means it’ll be easier to hear!
