I need some advice everyone
Last night i woke up with the blanket off and suddenly had this uncontrollable shiver of coldness it lasted for around 10 minutes.
I woke up feeling fine but i cant help wonder whats the reason and whether little pickle is ok in there 🥺

feb2022 · 18/09/2021 14:38

@Rose212 hey lovely sorry I know you posted hours ago my toddlers have a cold and are VERY demanding at the moment I hardly ever get time to post/reply to anyone anymore 😂
I think if your worried maybe go to the early pregnancy assessment unit and see if they will check you out and make sure everything is ok?
I've been feeling shivery too but I have a cold and it's kicking my butttt!

feb2022 · 18/09/2021 14:38

@Hope2022 I'm glad your scan went well 💕

Sunshine8888 · 19/09/2021 08:48

Glad all went well @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 and @Hope2022 🤗

20 weeks today, the halfway point! 🎉

Thanks to those who replied about the vaccines. I rang my GP and am booked in to have both flu and whooping cough at the same time in about 3 weeks time. I also have my second covid jab next weekend so I’m going to be full of vaccine 🙈

Sunshine8888 · 19/09/2021 08:49

Oh and also I had a Birth Reflections appointment recently to discuss my first birth. I found it helpful to go through my notes and realise what I thought happened did actually happen. Due to ongoing trauma, I’ve been booked an extra appointment at 32 weeks with a consultant to talk about what happened and what could be done differently this time

Hope2022 · 19/09/2021 09:40

@feb2022 thank you 😊

@Sunshine8888 thank you 😊 And YAY! to halfway! I’m 19+4, so almost there 😍
Good to hear they are taking care of you and offering you an additional appointment to support you! Birth trauma is so real and unless supported correctly it’s difficult to fully recover from it.
I’m hoping the consultant will be more supportive in a few weeks, bcos the midwife didn’t give me much confidence 🤦🏼‍♀️ She seemed to brush off any of my thoughts and worries regarding previous labour as though she was trying to get rid of me 😢

Also, it’s so annoying that I’ve had 12 & 20 week scan now and a mw appt and still not allowed to listen to the heartbeat. Apparently it’s something they do in my area but not sure why? It’s the best and most reassuring sound to hear and I feel like Ive missed out! Think I’ll be paying for a private scan around 28 weeks 💗

Rmw99 · 19/09/2021 12:55

Hey ladies, hope everyone is OK?
Iv not been coping mentally so had a bit of a break off here but I have my 20 week scan tomorrow (I'm 20wk 1 day). Still lots of movement and love being able to see it. Will update everyone tomorrow xx

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 21/09/2021 07:53

Yay to halfway point! Hope everyone's doing well and all the scans coming up are good.

@Rmw99 hope you're okay. I was pretty anxious and stressed in the week before my 20 week scan, hope you're feeling better now you've had it. Think hormones are all over the place too, but a break sounds good if you need it

Rmw99 · 21/09/2021 16:42

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 thank you x

Just wanted to update everyone on here as I know not all of you are on the Facebook group. We found out yesterday she has a cleft lip, can't obviously can't help but feel devastated especially as we don't know how bad it is yet. The sonographer seemed confident it wasn't bad and its only affecting the lip on the right side but we just don't know. We have a specialist scan tomorrow when we will find out more. I'm finding it really hard to accept this and everytime she kicks it's a constant reminder. My head is all over the place 😔 xx

feb2022 · 21/09/2021 17:12

@Rmw99 I'm sorry your dealing with this it must be so hard but I just wanted to share that my little nephew was born with a cleft lip and he's 5 now and you can't even tell and honestly he's the most beautiful boy I've ever seen in my life
Things will be ok 💐 xx

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 21/09/2021 17:12

@Rmw99 I'm so sorry, hope you're okay. I don't know if it helps me saying this or not, but my friends sister had a cleft lip and it's barely noticeable. She's gorgeous. It must have been a shock to hear, but if the sonographer didn't think it looked to be very much, she might just have a tiny tiny scar after the amazing procedures they can do now x

CurlyWurlyTwos · 21/09/2021 20:25

@Rmw99 aww - it must be hard news, but like previous posters have reiterated its very common!

One of my friends is a maxfacs surgeon and works on clefts all the time! She does amazing work, your baby will be good hands when the time comes!

It may seem devastating, but it can be resolved when she arrives!

In my previous pregnancy, they found a fatal fetal abnormality at 13 weeks. Nothing could have saved my baby. I had to have a TMFR. I have chosen not to share this online until now (I didn't want judgement).

I'm not sharing this to minimise your devastation, but your baby will be gorgeous and she'll arrive perfectly healthy!

I hope that fetal medicine will be able to give you a more clarity, answers and peace of mind at your scan tomorrow!

All our babies are little miracles!

CurlyWurlyTwos · 21/09/2021 20:29

I'm currently 19 + 3 and still have 10 days until my scan 😴😴😴

Anxiety is starting to ramp up though (due to my history) - nearly cracked and booked a private scan, but would rather be in hospital if things aren't right!

Tiredness is REAL - I WFH today, and went for 30min lie down at lunchtime, but fell asleep for 2 hours 😳 - oops!

No one missed me though 🤷‍♀️! I woke up in a complete panic!

babyfeb2022 · 22/09/2021 07:47

Hope everyone is okay 😊 currently 17+3 so still have a while until 20 weeks scan (13th Oct). Dreading it tbh had a stressful week with me and partner splitting up but need to focus on baby. This is my first and I still don't think I felt any movement but did hear the heartbeat at 2 weeks ago at my 16 week midwife check up. When would you normally start feeling movements?

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 22/09/2021 08:47

@CurlyWurlyTwos so sorry you had to go through that, anyone who ever judged would be a complete arse. Good luck for your 20 week scan. I was v nervous in the run up to mine too.

@babyfeb2022 sorry to hear about you and your partner too, are you okay? Re: movements depends where your placenta is. If it's anterior, people don't tend to feel movements until after 20 weeks

Mononoke87 · 22/09/2021 11:58

Hello, I am new here. Been reading quietly until now and your experiences really helped to feel reassured about my own!

First time pregnant, 18w1d, baby due 22.02.2022. So far everything seems to be going fine. We had a private scan last week to see the gender but the little one was not feeling ready to reveal it for us yet! :) our next scan is at 20 weeks, so hopefully to see it then.

I have an anterior placenta and did not feel any moves or flutters yet :( can't wait to feel it but know I cannot rush it.

I also got tired of sleeping on my sides only, my left hip started hurting a bit from laying on it so much! The U shape pillow does help a lot.

It would be great to get a link for the Facebook group also :)

CNMP · 22/09/2021 15:39

Hey ladies 👋🏼 Hope you are all okay.

I’m now 19 weeks and 4 days, with my 20 week scan on Monday. I’m not feeling as nervous as I had thought I would be, but always eager to make sure everything is okay.

Our little one has really been making itself known, and I have been feeling a lot of movements in the afternoons and evenings. Sounds silly but as I’m feeling so much I wonder whether it is actually the baby as no one else seems to feel much if anything at all. Sounds odd I know but I’m always second guessing.

I’ve started to work on not drinking abit before bed as getting up would mean I didn’t sleep for hours after. Certainly getting uncomfortable in bed a lot and suffering from aches and pains during the day. Although, I don’t feel very big at all for a 19week pregnant women.

When do they start measuring your bump regularly does anyone know? Xx

Winterfellismyhome · 23/09/2021 10:30

Morning all. Had my 20 week scan this morning and its a little girl! 💖

feb2022 · 23/09/2021 11:10

@Winterfellismyhome ohh how lovely! 💜
I had a gender scan at 16 weeks and I found out I'm having a girl... but now I can't stop worrying they are gonna tell me she's a boy at the 20 week scan 😂... I mean I wouldn't be fussed but I've gone out and bought pink things ha!

babyfeb2022 · 23/09/2021 14:40

Are strange pregnancy dreams a thing? I've recently changed from wfh to being back in the office which I absolutely love but means I'm sat down more than when I was at home. Anyway I woke up this morning from the most vivid dream where I went to my 20 weeks scan and they told me the baby was fine but would forever be flat because me sitting down all the time has flatten the baby 😂. I mean think the Charlie and the chocolate factory kid that they had to stretch out. I clearly know that would never happen but the dream was so real I've not stopped thinking about it all day haha

22Feb22 · 23/09/2021 16:45

@Mononoke87 Also been quietly reading this forum too, it has been very helpful! First time pregnant here & also due on the 22.02.22!
That's a shame you didn't get the find out what you are having. I really want to find out but my partner wants it to be a surprise so we haven't decided yet Hmm
I haven't felt any movement yet, very worried as I haven't had my 16 week appointment yet. Its booked for tomorrow, hoping they will listen to the heartbeat.
When did you find out about your anterior placenta? My last scan was at 12 weeks & I just got told everything looked healthy. I don't know if they would have told me then?
Really struggling with sleeping on my side, it keeps me awake as its uncomfortable. Sounds like I need to invest in a U shape pillow!

@babyfeb2022 I also been having some very very strange dreams!!

Winterfellismyhome · 24/09/2021 06:48
