@Winterfellismyhome haha white wouldn't last long in my house 😅

@haidri

Hi lovelies. I had a car journey that was around 4hrs in which my legs began getting numb & swelling. Do the tight socks really help?
Stopping the car and having a walk from time to time would be better. Pregnancy increases your chances of a blood clot so being stationary for long periods of time is best avoided if at all possible

@CurlyWurlyTwos
Hope the leggings are good for you 🤞and thank you for the reply. J did have a hospital visit around 2 years ago and tbeh said everything looked fine its just typical it happens after doing the deed so they can't exactly see it then 😂 just have to see how it goes x

haidri · 01/09/2021 22:48

@SouthwestSis I was stopping every 55mins but still swollen :(

feb2022 · 02/09/2021 11:20

My sickness has come back the past few days 🤢 and I'm more exhausted now than I was in the first few weeks, anyone else the same?
I'll be 15 weeks on Monday and praying I get a burst of energy soon, my house needs a good deep clean but I'm just soooo exhausted 😴

Detta123 · 02/09/2021 12:13

@feb2022 yes my sickness came back this morning and tiredness for the past few days. I'm 14 weeks today. Just waiting for the second trimester glow and energy I keep hearing about! My husband has been quite good with the house work but I would like to be able to do more x

StephanieJ · 02/09/2021 12:29

I'm 14 weeks at the moment and suffering from really bad headaches, is anyone having this? I've have suffered from sinusitis for as long as I can remember but these headaches seem different. I have my 16 week midwife appointment next week so will mention to her but the pain is just horrendous. This has been happening a couple of weeks. I drinking so much water as seem to be thirsty all the time so know I'm not dehydrated

feb2022 · 02/09/2021 13:06

@Detta123 it's crap feeling like you have to rely on other people to do everyday tasks haha
Hopefully the "glow" kicks in for us both soon 😅

feb2022 · 02/09/2021 13:08

@StephanieJ yeah I've been getting headaches too and migraines
When I spoke to my midwife about it she said it's common in the second trimester because of the increased blood flow around the body, hopefully it goes soon

StephanieJ · 02/09/2021 14:31

@feb2022 ah that's good to know! I've been more tired in the last few weeks than in my first trimester as well, had quite a bit of stress though so thinking that probably isn't helping either but I'm sleeping like a log which is nice as I've had bad stretching pains (forgot the real name hahaha) but at least I'm sleeping all night!

miracle2022 · 02/09/2021 14:48

@StephanieJ I think they're round ligament pains? I had them really bad on Sunday so was just lying on the sofa as had zero energy and just wasn't feeling great at all. It's the worst I've felt. Monday was better, Tuesday too, yday was fine. I think they come and go.

StephanieJ · 02/09/2021 15:00

@miracle2022 that's the name for them 😂 I'll blame baby brain but sure I was this forgetful before hahah. Yeah mine seem to come and go and sneezing is a right pain haha

LaudamusTe · 02/09/2021 18:40

I was having pain when I sneezed as well but was able to make the pain go away. Doing some kegels to strengthen your perlvic floor muscle helps a lot and eliminates the pain completely. When you feel you have a sneeze coming on, tighten your pelvic floor muscle as you sneeze and release after you sneeze. If you have three or four sneezes in a row, the last one might hurt a little bit.

merryhellbrokeloose · 02/09/2021 21:05

Just bending over slightly will help

overtherainbo · 03/09/2021 08:43

I had my 16 week appointment yesterday (a week late) and have been diagnosed with SPD, I'm in so much pain walking, standing and even laying down or sitting in positions. It's back to school runs again today and I'm literally sweating and panting with the pain. I've been referred to physio and she told me I would get a band and maybe even crutches. I'm not even half way through yet🥲!

Oh no that's really shit! Hope the physio can help...
feb2022 · 03/09/2021 17:08

@overtherainbo I sympathise completely!!
I had it near the end with my first, from 12 weeks with my second and it's just starting to kick in again now, midwife said it will get worse with each pregnancy so I know I've got lots to look forward too 😭
If I walk for too long it feels like my pelvis is closing in on itself with each step it's bloody awful!
Sleeping is a nightmare at the moment with the pain too, I had a belt last time and it does help a little bit but not loads
I'm back doing the school runs from Monday and I'm dreading it!

overtherainbo · 03/09/2021 17:55

@merryhellbrokeloose thank you

@feb2022 oh it's horrible isn't it, I thought I was in pain until the school runs today, I'm still aching from them, it feels almost like I'm locking up yet so so sore. Sort of like doing a marathon. I've bought two pregnancy pillows so far and both don't support me in bed. Never mind tuning over, I have to hold the headboard and pull myself round! How do you cope, it's making me dread going further, baby's weight and being in pain until next year 😩

feb2022 · 03/09/2021 18:17

@overtherainbo ohh bless you it's so uncomfortable isn't it!
A nice warm bath helps relieve some of the pain I find, and try and put your feet up when you can (easier said than done)
Mine kicked off just hoovering yesterday it's been awful... I took my boys to a local lake today, it was lovely but I'm paying for it now my body feels broken, but I feel like I'm restricting them because I'm so restricted at the moment and the guilt is bad if you know what I mean
Yeah pregnancy pillows are great! I just put one of those travel cushions in between my thighs of a night time 😂😂

Hi! Sorry I have been so absent lately! We are back in the UK since yesterday, we had a great time catching up with family!

So good to read about all your scans :-) Congratulations everyone.

Nothing really happening here. Before I went I thought I go for a reassurance scan with a private ob-gyn at home, but then decided against it as the one I went to when I still lived there is now retired and I didn't want to go to someone I don't know. Was worried that they pretend to see something worrying and then I'll be out of my mind for the rest of the stay. Or even worse, something is really not right and I'm away from my boyfriend Sad Sadly I'm a worrier.

I have a consultant appointment next week and I'm hoping they will check for the heart beat as well. I think if they don't do, I might book a private scan. I've been browsing companies around the area but they usually only offer gender scans at my gestation and we want a surprise. I just want a little peak to see if baby is moving and it's all looking OK. Ah, well. Any ideas? Worth booking a gender scan and then asking not to look for the gender? Grin

I have sent out a few more DMs to the ladies asking to join the FB group, I'm sorry that some of you have waited so long now.

They asked me if I wanted to know the sex at my sexing scan, if you don't want to know they won't tell you!

Had my 16 week midwife appointment today and heard the heartbeat🙌🏻 I know some had said their trust doesn’t offer it, but I asked and my midwife said she would try. Always worth an ask because my midwife did say they’re not recommended to do it this early on as it can be hard to get a heartbeat and can spark anxiety, but she tried all the same. Just thought I’d share ❤️

Rmw99 · 03/09/2021 23:47

@overtherainbo
I also have SPD/PGP and it is truly a pain in the arse. I had it in my first pregnancy but not till.later on so wasn't seen till 32 weeks and by then it was just pointless but I bought a belt which helped massively. I'm 18 weeks tomorrow and really worried about how I'm going to work with it. Just ordered a belt hoping it works like last time but we will see. X
