40 mins until our scan. I'm so worried something is wrong, I'm absolutely sick of my anxiety ruining the excitement for us 🙃

@overtherainbo congratulations!!! We had ours this morning too and I felt exactly the same as you beforehand. We’re expecting a little girl! It’s our first, so finally starting to feel real!

@LadyBecks22 congratulations, it's the best part isn't it. We've just bought the crib to set it up haha. I can't wait to start on the nursery 😍

@feb2022 we bought all gender neutral but added a little blue blanket and ordered blue prints for the nursery🥺

@Lowkeyloopy I'm the same as you! I have my '16 week' apt at 17+3 and my 20 week scan at 21 weeks 😩! It's one of those things I guess. It doesn't sound like I'll miss much at the midwife (they don't listen to heartbeat in my trust).

Anyone else still feel absolutely exhausted? I'm not experiencing 2nd trimester bounce back! I swear some days i could be 35weeks! I'm so so tired and huffing & puffing after walking up stairs.

I was 6 years younger in my last pregnancy so wondering whether it's my age! I don't remember feeling like this last time!

I caved and bought a doppler, I am sure someone earlier in this thread recommended it (obviously with precaution), so thank you if this was you. The relief it has given me has been unbelievable especially with that gap between 12wk and 20wk just feeling like it lasts forever. As I said above, with precaution, you shouldn’t use them as a definitive everything is ok, but it’s just nice to be able to check there is still something in there when the feelings get a bit much.

@overtherainbo I so love that elephant print, I have decided to go mint green for our nursery, so have some prints in my basket that are so similar to that just with some mint green balloons instead of the blue background. Planning the decorating of the nursery has been so much harder than I thought. I wish I was artistic to give some sort of animal/jungle mural!

@CurlyWurlyTwos You can try changing the scan date - I called them and all I said was “I’ve received a letter saying my 20 week scan is on X date which is when I’ll be 21 weeks…” and she immediately said “oh we should be trying to do it earlier than that - I’ll find another date” and moved it to 20 weeks! I reckon someone just miscounted the first time!

I’ve generally got lots more energy than the first trimester, unless I try to do anything crazy like.. go for a walk! Did that yesterday for an hour and had to nap all afternoon to make up for it! I definitely also huff and puff walking up stairs which makes me feel so unfit (and I don’t think I am!) but apparently that breathlessness is normal.

Any first time mums starting to feel a bit of movement? I’m 17+ 3 today and for the last week have been convincing myself I’ve been feeling little swirling movements, but then I tell myself it’s too early and must just be wind!

My trust actively chooses to do the anatomy scan at 21 weeks, rather than 20

@catinthehat12 oh I love mint green, why didn't I think of that haha. It's probably one of my favourite colours but I went with the stereotypical colour instead🙄😂

Hi all - has anyone on here had both their 12 and 20 week scans? If so, interested to know if you waited without going for any additional scans until you got to your 20 week scan and how you found that wait?

I’m trying to hold off buying things until after the 20 week scan like I did with my first but it is hard! But finally had my scan date and it’s only 2.5 weeks away 🤗

17 weeks today and feeling very sore and crampy. Also feeling tired a lot

@Sunshine8888 I cracked, we have the first wardrobe, crib, pram, bouncer, bath, steriliser set ect. We only need the isofix base and a sling now. Oops!

I'm due on 22/02/2022, like quite a few I've seen on here. Waiting on NIPT results, but from the scan, looks like I am expecting a boy!

@overtherainbo wow that’s organised! I don’t even know where I’ll put baby boy’s things atm 🤣 our little girl is in our box room and likely to stay there until baby boy is ready to move out of our room. Space is fast becoming an issue here but we can’t afford to move to anything bigger in this area 🙈

@Sunshine8888 I'm worried for Christmas I think haha, I just want it all done so I can start on Christmas😂! How old is your little girl? Could they share, my son and daughter shared until they were 7 and 5. Ive moved to a 3 bed now and one will be sharing again, I feel awful🙈!
