mom - im due 24th which i think is just after you? feeling fairly mahoosive though and uncomfortable quite looking forward to hurrying up and having this one whilst with my dds i enjoyed being pregnant. how are you anyway? has your placenta moved or is it still the same?

kate2179 · 21/01/2008 17:28

Hello ladies, thank you so for all your messages of support, it really means a great deal to me, and of course it helps enormously to hear from others who have been through something similar!

nervousal so sorry to hear your news. You must do whatever feels right. Take care {{hugs}}

I got my 1st lot of blood results today. Was convinced the bloods were taken on 4+0 but the results are hcg 1510, progesterone 45.8
All the websites seem to say that's fine for 5weeks but v high for 4...
So now very confused but trying not to panic (any more than usual)()
Does anyone have any thoughts? Promise I'll try really hard not to be this neurotic for the full 9 months if I'm lucky enough to be here that long!

Was recommended by a doctor friend to go for the second test a week after the first which makes sense to me in a way as it should still be possible to see if the levels have risen enough (I thnk?) and it will mean there's slightly less time to wait til the scan which will hopefully be on thurs 7th feb... Why is this so difficult?!?!?!?!

Fantastic news jules - would be very of you being 13 weeks except I know how hard you've worked to get there, enjoy it! (If that's possible )

TwilightSurfer · 21/01/2008 17:42

Kate your news is wonderful. The normal range for HCG is extremely broad so don't try to read too much into where your number falls. The doctor should tell you the very same thing. Feel confident that your numbers are good, they confirm you are pregnant, and for now....you can relax. The next bloods will confirm the numbers are on the increase which will confirm the pregnancy is moving forward nicely. Just take a deep breath. You are going to be fine. Be excited!!! YOU'RE PREGNANT!!!

MerlinsBeard · 21/01/2008 17:53

spugs, i am officially due 20th march. Scan is 1:50 on Thursday...feels like D day loL!

Think baby has dropped which is nice in a way as i can breathe better now and heartburn has lessened but does it mean i will go into labour myself and early|?? can't remember the lightening/engageing with either DS
Also, don't know if its possible with placenta praevia!

kd73 · 21/01/2008 17:58

Nervousal - Sending you love at this difficult time

Hey JustJules. Still puking. Only 10+2 today so hoping for relief soon. Refuse to complain outright as it means pregnancy is progressing normally. Ditto on the pregnancy stressful malarkie.

kate2179 · 21/01/2008 18:52

Thanks jules & twilight, I am pregnant aren't I!!

twilight I followed your lead and did 3 tests to watch the line getting darker - on monday it was quite faint, on wednesday it was much darker and on saturday it was as dark as the control
So this gives me some hope that levels are rising as they should, I will just have to be patient to find out for sure (possibly not my greatest skill !)
Sorry to hear you're still puking but GREAT that things are going as they should, when did the puking start?

Good luck with the consultant tomorrow jules, though it sounds like things are just fine - don't think I'd ever get tired of being told that though!

TwilightSurfer · 21/01/2008 18:58

Kate I was ill before I got the BFP but really started getting sick sick about 5+5 or so. I puke daily. Sometimes if it's before I've eaten I just gag until I feel like my toes are going to come up and out of my mouth.

EllieG · 21/01/2008 19:27

Yey Kate - glad you had a good result!

Does it stop hurting so much to breathe etc and have less heartburn when baby drops then? Mine is apparently pretty high up and everything hurtsssss
There's nothing wrong with me, had all checked out in typical pg-knicker-checker manner, but I'm so uncomfortable!

feedmenow · 21/01/2008 19:39

Hi all!

Nervousal, sorry to hear of your problems. I agree with the others and reckon you should go to the scan. At least you'll know for sure. Fingers crossed it will be a good result. Big huds for you!

Mom, I hope dropping doesn't mean anything about early labour! I can't say I've noticed any difference re. heartburn, etc, but I feel a lot more in my pelvis floors than with the first 2, and I also have horrendous piles, whivh I am putting down to more pressure down there, again something I didn't suffer with the other 2. Mind you, my dd never engaged, even throughout labour (hence section) and I never paid any attention with ds cos of elective section. I am hoping that the feelings of this baby being much lower mean that it can, and will, engage and that I get my vbac!
Remind me, is this the last scan you'll get before they decided on a section or not? Any idea at how many weeks they'll book your section for?

splishsplosh · 21/01/2008 20:39

Hello, I got a bfp today, and am 4+1, so I thought I'd join you, as I'm already fretting about lack of symptoms and the certainty that it'll be like last time, when i mc almost exactly 3 months ago - I guess you all know exactly how I feel

TwilightSurfer · 21/01/2008 20:43

Welcome Splishsplosh. Don't worry 4+1 is still very early for major symptoms. They'll hit you soon enough. Promise. We must have MCed about the same time. I MCed 09NOV and I'm 10+2 today. It's all good!! I look forward to reading about your first weeks.

feelingpositive · 21/01/2008 21:15

Hi All,

I am very similar to Splishsplosh and am 4+2 today. I had a mmc at almost 12 weeks in Sept 07, and as I haemorraged so much then (was ambulanced to hospital) and became v. anemic it took me until the the New Year to contemplate ttc again... and voila! eekkk!

I am trying to stay positive and more optimistic but at the same time wish I could fast forward to Easter when I will be 12 weeks +. I know it would devast DH (and me) if we lost this one as this pregnancy has helped us both get over the last one.

I have been reading this thread from the sidelines for a while, but as you all seem so understanding and supportive I thought I would join you all.

Congratulations to everyone who is progressing well.

xfp

p.s. splishsplosh, just welcomed you on the sept 08 thread, but hello again. fingers crossed for both of us!!

MrsMcJnr · 21/01/2008 21:48

Nothing new here catch up tomorrow!

sweetkitty · 21/01/2008 21:54

aww MrsMcJnr - being overdue is the pits. Every day feels like an eternity and people saying "oh but soon you will have a baby and then you will know about it" or "it's too comfy in there" or "why hasn't it come out yet?" just makes it worse so I'm not going to say any of those things sending you some labour vibes.

welcome to all the just pregnants - heres hoping your 12 weeks whizzes past very quickly for you all, healthy and well.

jules - 13 weeks congratulations when are you coming to join us on the antenatal thread?

mrsmcjnr... so unfair that your journey has taken SO long (compared to none knicker checkers!) and you are still waiting! Would send you labour vibes but ..erm..i don't want to go into labour until i know where my placenta is

karney · 22/01/2008 13:24

Hi I'm new to this thread. Have been keeping an eye on it but I've been a bit shy to join in. I'm 10 wks pg. I,ve had 3 m/c in the last 15 months so while I'm delighted I'm pg I'm scared. I've had 2 scans so far last one was at 8.2wks and all was well but my God is it a long time til 12 wks. My nxt scan is a wk on friday. I could have one ths week but we're going away on a trip we are really looking forward to on friday and I don't want any bad news. Seems daft I know but my last m/c was on the day we were supposed to go on holiday. This wk my morning sickness isn't so bad anymore and my head is going for a walk wondering if everythings ok. I keep telling myself it's out of my hands but...?I'm rabbling on but just wanted to share. good luck to all.ta x
