DonDons · 01/12/2007 08:56

oh Jules - you poor thing - keeping averything crossed for you

Bouncing - I do have pictures but am luddite and don't know how to get them on line!

Congrats Ellie x

feedmenow · 01/12/2007 09:42

Yay for Ellie!

And yay for the first bit of jules' post! What did they say at the emergency room? Did they take bloods/rescan or anything?

Glimmer · 01/12/2007 22:22

Glimmer announces birth of baby-spark Noam Jakob on 27/11/2007 at 42+0. He is adorable, Glimmer on babymoon.

Didn't get the homebirth I had hoped for, since I developed pre-eclampsia at 41+6 diagnosed at day assessment unit, was immediately put on blood-pressure medication, then induced. Thanks to IM, DH and all the preparation for the homebirth I managed to have a natural delivery without pain relief (which was important to me).

Unfortunately, blood pressure still high and at risk for complications, which casts a little shadow over our happiness.

Baby waking up! Thinking of all of you and more in a little while.

spugs · 02/12/2007 08:34

yay glimmer congrats on baby noam hope the blood pressure gets solrted

ellie & jules - congrats on your scan news, hope the bleeding slows down jules.

sweetkitty - when i told people we were expecting number 3 we got the whole 'oh are you trying for a boy, wont you be disappointed if its a girl thing' (we have 2 girls) and to be honest i would have quite liked a boy. but since finding out its another girl im very happy about the fact and now hoping like mad theyve got it right if people say thing along those lines to me now they are likely to get there heads bitten off

Just lurking

mcchesers - I've got the same and have for several weeks (I'm 11 weeks tomorrow) and been told it's thrush which people do suffer with more in early pregnancy and not to worry as doesn't harm baby I also have a bunged nose with yuck too but I get that in pregnancy, it's not connected for me.

Uki · 02/12/2007 11:20

CONGRAT'S To Glimmer, welcome to your little boy, he was a little late

Your birth sounds like mine, wanted natural but got pre-ecampsia and got anything but and then got post- eclampsia too, and those blood pressure pills made me feel horrible. Try and rest and let people help you as much as you can. Hope you are 100% soon

Hi to everyone else, hope we are all well and there are some more healthy little bundles soon.
My LL is growing up too fast, giving loads of smiles ATM and sleeping well. ds is another story, probably wakes more than LL

mcchesers · 02/12/2007 11:47

Hooray Glimmer! How exciting!!

Thanks for all the feedback. Hi Looney. I'm thinking about going back to GP for a swab just to be sure. Still bunged up, sneezing, wiped out over here.

I'm finally past the days where everything went tits up before and looking forward to december's scan..I mean as much as you can.

Bouncing- you feeling better today? I hate migraines. Sometimes the hormones can bring them on. I had a day like that last Tuesday.

Enjoy your sunday folks. I'm off try and do something productive.

EllieG · 02/12/2007 12:16

Awwww lovely news from Glimmer - congratulations to you and Mr Glimmer xxx

popsy76 · 02/12/2007 13:02

Hi ladies, long time no speak. Been looking for all my old friends and have found most of you here . I am an imposter on this thread but didn't know if there was anyone left ttc-ing after MC? Big hello to all my lovely friends (nh, ellie, mrsmcsoontobeamummy, beckle, jules, sweetkitty) so pleased for you all!
Big Love
popsy xxx
p.s. if you know where the others are please let me know so I can go and catch up
p.p.s. given up ttc and got a cool new job - not as good as a new baby admmitedly but helps me be slightly less as mad as a snake as I had become back in the summer

Bouncingturtle · 02/12/2007 13:19

Hey Popsy! Congrats on the new job!
Don't know about the thread for TTC after m/c, haven't looked. But you could start one I guess? It would be under Conception.

Good idea thanks bouncing turtle - uh oh after 5 months off MN I can feel its power dragging me in again...though may be that I have work to do and would rather do anything else than that on a wet and rainy sunday

TJuice · 02/12/2007 13:31

just bouncing in (regular lurker but too chicken to join until after week 12!)

we are under MC Avengers, popsy.

popsy76 · 02/12/2007 14:12

Thanks TJ - have found you - took ages - am really rusty at MN-ing now arghhh

lovelylou · 02/12/2007 14:31

Hi ladies, so nervous for tomorrow. Feels so different to last time and i am trying not to get attatched but i know i will be heartbroken if it goes wrong. Keep your fingers crossed for me everyone, will let you know how it goes.
Congratulations to Glimmer, enjoy him while he is little, this bit goes so quickly.
So pleased for you EllieG, Iknew it would all be okay. Hello to popsy, long time no see, congrats on the new job x

popsy76 · 02/12/2007 14:39

ooh good luck lovleylou!!!!
I forget that once you have mnaged to get PG again you have to go through all that worry while you are waiting for scans... am sending huge hugs - Everything will be fine xxxx

Janus · 02/12/2007 14:43

EllieG, congaratulations, I little girl, how lovely (I have 2!!), now you can start the name game!
Oh JustJules, how are you holding up? How awful to have both emotions on the same day, we are all thinking of you, hope you have had no more bleeding.
Sweetkitty, ignore the dopey comments!!! I have 2 girls and the number of people who assume I am also trying for a boy, no, as you say, I'm trying for a healthy baby, don't give a fig what it is! I now ignore comments and say 'don't mind' but it is so insensitive. My two are 4 and 7 and quite a few people have also asked if it is a 'nice accident', really, what are these people thinking of?! Really feel like saying 'no, had a miscarriage over 2 years ago and have been trying ever since', that would shut them up!
Glimmer, fantastic news, I always feel so positive when another person has a baby from this thread and all is OK. Hope you are enjoying little Noam, of course you are! Take care.
Beckle, I hope you are enjoyed your Mat L, frantic nesting probably going on but make sure you get plenty of rest too.
Hello to everyone else and hope all the sneezing from a lot of us clears up soon!

Janus · 02/12/2007 14:45

Oh LovelyLou, good luck for tomorrow, I know a scan is now something to not look forward to but I have everything crossed for you. Let us know.

sweetkitty · 02/12/2007 16:10

Glimmer - congratulations

popsy - glad you found us on the other thread

mcchesers - I am falling apart, have the usual feeling sick, dead tired feeling but still have a sore throat and I also have loads of erm cervical mucus I think your body goes into overdrive in early pregnancy.

Janus - it is really annoying people commentng on your family, I hate them implying we would be dissappointed with another girl. Also had the mistake thing last time oh and some idiot asked if I had a telly

Looney - good to see you x

fettleandbabyfettle · 02/12/2007 19:26

Oh Glimmer - fantastic news - was getting a little worried for you when we hadn't heard. Sorry to hear about your last minute complications - hope they sort themselves out very soon.

Enjoy your lovely baby!!!

Take care all - we're doing fine. Just had 40 people round for a welcome Toby/house-warming party from when we moved in here in August. Was fun, but i'm shattered now. not the most brilliant idea I've ever had having a party with a 10 week old baby!!!

xxx

goingfor3christmaspuddings · 02/12/2007 19:30

Sk and Janus I also have two girls and am very willing to bite the head off anyone one who asks if we are trying for a boy especially as my mc's were both boys. I just want a live healthy baby!

In a bit of a bad mood today as dp scratched and dented our car today as our neighbours had parked in a really akward position. We have no idea how much it is going to cost and I feel so annoyed about having to pay out a probably huge amount of money [angry[

Glimmer fab news about your baby arriving even if it wasn't quite how you planned I'mm sure it's lovely to have him at home with you.

sweetkitty · 02/12/2007 21:12

I also had "well maybe it was a boy and you can't carry boys" WTF kind of thing is that to say to anyone who has recently lost a baby.

People eh

mcchesers · 02/12/2007 23:38

Hey Sweetkitty. You know, I think I've sensed a pattern where I'm about 3 days behind where you are. If you are still feeling crap, then I'll most likely have that to look forward to

Had the most lovely day with my DH. He took me out to get a new coat after I blubbed because my blue coat popped two buttons and I found a chocolate stain and I nearly heaved passing the chip shop from the smell of grease and oil and ciggies and lorry exhaust. Then I started to throw up the lunch I had eaten and assumed to have digested some four hours ago. Does nothing digest anymore? So with a green salad and a bowl of white rice for my supper..I came home to take a bath and cry over the top 100 greatest family movies of all time. I'm going to try and get some sleep.

Jules - Glad to hear things are looking up.

Lovelylou- Fingers crossed for you! Good luck!

hotchoc · 03/12/2007 06:16
