Congrats Bella! Wonderful news!

EllieG · 20/01/2008 11:53

Fab news bellabear!! Congratulations to you and Mr bear

jules - hope the spotting stops soon, but glad the scan went well x

kate2179 · 20/01/2008 12:36

Hello ladies, hope everyone is having a healthy and well sunday with little/nothing to report!

Please may I ask a quick question? I am 4+3 today (TERRIFIED!) Since thursday (4+0) I've been having niggly little crampy feelings. I don't get that before af but I can imagine that is what it feels like. It's both sides, not constant and not nearly bad enough to be called pain but it's worrying me sick. No bleeding or anything. Gave the blood sample on 4+0 in the end and am planning to give the second on 5+0. I know there wouldn't be anything visible on a scan yet. What I really want is for someone to tell me this is completely normal, a good sign even, and that the fact that I didn't have this with the pg I mc'd is also a good sign! ok?!? Seriously though, any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated, but please don't scare me any more than I am already! If this is 'normal' how long is it likely to last?

jules about the scan! Wonderful news! So exciting that you know the sex!

meglet really hoping bleeding is nothing xx

MrsMcJnr · 20/01/2008 15:21

Still here....!!

MOM ? I think based on OV my due date was probably 4 days later than my LMP one but I am still overdue my family are the opposite, no babies left cooking after 38 weeks for many generations!!

Justjules ? you?ll be fine hon, hang in there thanks for the compliment.

Feedmenow ? beginning to think maybe I am 21 weeks and I?ve dreamt that it is my time! Will change my profile once beanie arrives! thanks, I found the ladies

Great story BellaBear ? many, many congratulations!!!

Kate2179 ? take it easy hon and try to relax x

spugs · 20/01/2008 15:41

mrsmc - saw you were the most recent to post on here and got all excited ive gone into labour on both my due dates so far so have not had the overdue thing (yet) but hope your making the most of it putting your feet up and eating cake

bella - congratulations

EllieG · 20/01/2008 19:11

Kate - weird crampy pain is entirely normal - I had loads early on - remember your body is preparing for some quite dramatic change and you are being flooded with hormones that are telling all the ligaments to start getting all stretchy. Try not to worry - if pain gets really sharp or you have lots bleeding get checked, but otherwise is normal x

Gracie14 · 20/01/2008 19:45

Evening all,

Thanks so much for all your supportuve replies, I'm so glad that I came on here.
I'm feeling abit better, still worried but I think as a lot of you have I need to try and think positive. I think its helping that nausea has been especially bad today - baby wasn't pleased with cornflakes for breakfast lets put it that way

Congrats to bellar - he is gorgeous

MrsMc - I can't believe your due any day, I came onto the temping buddies thread about the time you were leaving with your BFP - I bet your so excited meeting your little one so soon. Can't wait to hear all about bubba very soon

kate2179 · 20/01/2008 20:52

Thank you so much EllieG, am ashamed to say that I have spent most of the day reading the due in sept '08 thread , though am too scared to join just yet ( ) and have been amazed at the number of people who have had the cramp-y type pains, in fact I even found someone worrying because they weren't having them! Just goes to show, you can always find something to worry about if you look hard enough !

Good luck to you MrsMcJnr, thanks for your support, am looking forward to reading your birthing story very soon! In fact I work with your due date buddy on another thread who was induced early (BM), am hoping to visit her and her brand new DD at the end of the week!

feelingpositive · 20/01/2008 22:34

Hi kate, I am on the Sept 08 thread and have been having the same crampy pains as you, on both sides. I am sure it is completely normal. Although that doesn't stop me second guessing every symptom as well. Come on over to the Sept thread and I am sure you will receive a warm welcome and lots of support.

I am 4+1 today so we are on a similar flightpath .

x fp

TwilightSurfer · 20/01/2008 22:49

Kate I had that crampy feeling on and off for weeks between 4 and 8 weeks. FREAKED ME OUT at one point so I refused to get out of bed for 24 hours. It's just growing and shifting. All normal but worrisome for those of us who've had mcs.

nervousal · 21/01/2008 09:07

morning - bad news to report I'm afraid. I thought things had stopped on Saturday - no bleeding at all on Saturday night. However last night really suddenly I had a huge bleed and am 99% sure that I've had another mc. feeling numb and devastated. Have cancelled scan appointment next week and EPAU are sending me out a preg test just in case.
I'm at home today - but will have to face work tomorrow. Feel that this is so unfair.

EllieG · 21/01/2008 10:06

nervousal - many hugs to you hon. Sorry you are going through this. Hoping for some positive news for you x

The EPAU will send me a preg test which I'll do in a weeks time or so - if its still positive then I'll arrange to go in and see them. I don't think I could cope with going for a scan and them not seeing anything. Bleed was pretty much like last time - so pretty sure I've lost it.

goingfor3 · 21/01/2008 11:30

nervousal I'm so sorry to hear you news.

Bella congratulations, he is gorgeous and really looks like a boy already!

Had a busy weekend so very tired. We saw il's and fil told me how inconvinenet it was of me to be having the baby during May half term as they couldn't arrange themselves a holiday - I really wanted to tell him to f**k off!!!! How insenitive can one person be!

spugs · 21/01/2008 12:30

nervousal - sorry to hear your news hun

jules - 13 weeks is great whens your next scan?

goingfor3 - fancy not waiting an extra month before you got pregnant and inconveniancing them !!!tell them where to go

lots of lovely labour vibes for mrsmc

MerlinsBeard · 21/01/2008 12:30

nervousal i would keep your scan tbh. You may still get a positive if the hormone is in your body regardless of whether or not you are still actually pregnant.

jules 13 weeks another mini milestone to cross off

kate i had cramping for quite a number fo weeks with this pregnancy. some on one side and some quite painful actually! I am now 32 weeks.

MrsMcJnr just checking..... (please don't hit me!)

spugs · 21/01/2008 12:31

oo and victorvictoria who has an elective c section booked for today

MerlinsBeard · 21/01/2008 12:31
