Congratulations Beckle!!!

sweetkitty · 13/01/2008 22:09

jules - wow the milestone has been reached, am so so happy for you, it will take weeks to sink in that you might actually be having a real baby, I still don't believe it I can't wait for those first real kicks, I get flutters most nights but nothing beats those first kicks. I suppose we don't really relax until we have the baby in our arms I know I won't.

dondons - great scan pic I had a 4d scan with DD2, I think they should be available on the NHS they show so much detail. Girls are just fab too.

Wonder how MrsMcJnr is getting on

OracleInaCoracle · 13/01/2008 22:17

nervousal · 14/01/2008 08:55

an I join you ladies? I had a mc in June, now I think I'm about 6 weeks preg. Went for early scan last week - but too early to see anything much. Sac there and fine, good shape apparently - but no sign of heartbeat yet. going back in two weeks and nervous as hell!

gingercat12 · 14/01/2008 11:57

Congrats Beckle and and welcome Evie! Nervousal Hope everything goes well. Will be thinking of you

Sorry for disappearing, but at 33 weeks, I am quite easily tired now. Or lazy.

goingfor3 · 15/01/2008 09:26

Morning all,

Had a bit of a crappy evening. I went to a friends house yesterday afternoon and felt a strong braxton hicks whilst I was there and felt them on and off for the rest of the anfternoon. By the evening they were happeneing quite frequently and even dp could feel my belly tightening and I really worked myself up into a panic which only made it all worse. I called the labour ward and then went in and saw a really clam midwife which eased my fears and the contractions then stopped. The dr suggested a scan today and offered for me to stay overnight. I came home as I wanted to sleep and I knew if I was there I would feel more worried and make things worse. This morning all feels fine and I think I just had a couple of BH and worried which caused me to have more. I called the epu sister this moring to ask if I should come today as I have a scan tommorow but she told me to wait until tommorow as this morning all is fine but to call her if at al worried. The epu sister also asked if I over did it at all yesterday and I realised it's the busiest day I had in ages and was probably over the limit of what my body can cope with at the moment. I also asked about BH because I never had them in any other pregnancy and she said that as I've been pregnant a few times my uterus is more iirtable and I'm more sensitive to the feelings as I'm very worried. I really want the next 20 or even 14 will do to go fast!

MerlinsBeard · 15/01/2008 09:35

Goingfor3, i had awful BH yesterday too...to the point of me almost ringing the hosp (i am not allowed to labour naturally until they know where my placenta is properly).

How are you feeling today?

Am bouncy for MrsMc, its her day today isn't it? WOnder where she is......

Hi jules

AM ok, still around, i just never have anything new or helpful to say anymore!

I have a scan next week (24th) to check placenta position. Hopefully its moved, have certainly been having different aches and pains...have got an almost period like pain today and feel a bit ill. Hoping its just a dodgy tea last night! Am so flippin tired all the time and my house is a disgrace, DP is being useless and i can't manage with the DCs and the housework and the pregnancy!!

Baby still wriggly so thats got to be good.

I think looking back, that after the first 12/13 weeks before scan were over then the period in between scan and movements was the hardest! well it was for me!

EllieG · 15/01/2008 10:00

goingfor3 and MOM - hope your bh scariness has calmed down now x

jules - amazing how there is NO tmi in pregnancy isn't there? I've dnoe exactly the same!

Jules and MOM I'm 20+5 so ages to go!

MOM I hope your placenta is in a good position.

Jules, it's very sad how a mc can take away the pleasure of pregnancy. For me certainly the worry isn't going to stop until I'm holding this currently wiggling bundle in my arms.

MrsMc GOOD LUCK

MerlinsBeard · 15/01/2008 10:08

goingfor3...20 weeks I really feel for you having BH so early!

I am 31 weeks now so not long left for me. can say with all of my heart that i will not be doing this again!

iliketosleep · 15/01/2008 11:25

hi all,

well i managed to get my scan moved from monday to friday afternoon so thats something to look forward to, thinking i've got to be past that dreaded 10+1 now as i got my bfp on 30th november.!!!!

LardyMardyDaisy · 15/01/2008 12:17

just a quick hello from me (in my NY need to lose weight guise ) and a big congrats to Beckle and welcome Evie. Looking forward to talking to you on our wee PN board.

Jules, fab news for you and keeping everything crossed. 12 weeks though, you must be relaxing a little bit now?

wishing MrsMc good luck. Not had time to scan the threads; is she in labour yet?

been absent for a bit as have been in Scotland with no computer access. Been spending as much time as possible with mum, but she sadly lost her very brave fight on Friday . We are off up there tomorrow for her funeral on Friday. she will be sadly missed, but was an inspiration and never lost heart or faith right up until the end.

will try to keep up more when things get back to some sort of normality.

Hi to everyone and welcome all newcomers...babyboo is 7.5 months now and I still love this thread!!

EllieG · 15/01/2008 13:07

So sorry daisy x

kate2179 · 15/01/2008 14:15

Daisy so sorry to hear your news xx

Makes me feel that what I am about to write is a little insensitive, I really hope you don't feel that way.

Please may I have some urgent advice ladies (to stop me going insane!) I got a VERY early BFP yesterday!! Had a mmc in oct with erpc on 3rd Nov. 1st af arrived on 10th dec and it appears that the next cycle I have conceived! I don't think I ov'd until day 25 so am now only 12 DPO which i think would make me 3+5! Am quite angry with myself for testing so early, was DEFINITELY going to wait until the weekend but then had a moment of weakness yesterday afternoon ( but)

My doctor has very kindly said I can go for repeat hcg's to check everything is ok and then an early scan 7-8weeks. I am hoping to go for the scan on 8th feb when I should be 7+1 as my parents are away for 2 weeks and back on 9th & it would be so lovely to have some good news for them... just wanted your opinions re whether that is too soon and whether, most importantly, to have bloods done this week or wait a bit?

I would be very grateful for any advice/experiences from any of you who have been in a similar situation - becaroo and twighlightsurfer spring to mind! Have been thinking of you a lot twighlight seeing as we mc'd at abut the same time and now you're doing so amazingly! Gives me hope! Have you always felt really positive about this one?

Thank you! Kxx

goingfor3 · 15/01/2008 14:27

Daisy I'm really sorry to hear about your mum.

kate2179 (congratulations). I had a scan at 6 weeks and could see a heartbeat, it shoul be seen by 8 weeks for certain but can be seen earlier. I would like to say I would wait until 8 weeks as you are less likely to have to have a repeat scan incase they can't see anything but I couldn't wait and would go for the 7 week scan.

TwilightSurfer · 15/01/2008 16:58

LMDaisy my heart goes out to you. I lost my mother eleven years ago. It was very hard at first even though I was prepared for her passing (cancer). Just be good to yourself, nourish your body and be mindful of your feelings, not only right now but in the months to come. The first several months you are so caught up in "a whirlwind" it's hard to really feel. Once things settle that's when you begin sorting your own emotions. For me it was a year after when I found I needed the most emotional help. Whatever happens know there are people everywhere who want to listen to you and help you in any way they can.
