I am six weeks preg today, surprise pregnancy
bled when period was due a tiny red spot
then have had a few wipes of browna a few days later and a spot of brown after that but today have had a red wipe very red blood and have a strange tummy not sore per say but uncomfy I am aware of it and I feel very bloated

no blood as yet on a pad havent wiped again though

not sure whats happening i really font know

I have to go for a scan tomorrow am to the early preg unit

I guess I am not sure if this is normal or not normal as it doesnt feel normal and the red blood today is concerning me with the tummy awareness

sorry if that didnt make sense

basically i want to know if this sounds good or bad to you guys, dont hold back thanks xx

stayinginfaith · 10/01/2008 10:28

i didnt add in there that I want to imagine everything is ok, i really want it to be as I really want this baby but I want to be realistic too......and want honest advice from people that have been in this position x

fettleandbabyfettle · 10/01/2008 10:29

Hi all

Good luck Jules for your scan.

I'm sure she won't mind, but just to let you know that MrsMc is well. No sign of little Mc just yet though - she's just hectic in real life!

take care all
xxx

goingfor3 · 10/01/2008 10:55

stayinginfaith I had both red and brown bleeding in early pregnancy, about four times I think and I'm now 20 weeks. Good luck with the scan.

Jules you will have tears of joy!!!!

soamipregnant · 10/01/2008 11:09

oh right.....time will tell will stay in faith in the meantime....thanks

Janus · 10/01/2008 11:22

stayingfaith, I had lots of brown blood around the time my period was due with my second pregnancy. In fact it was so much, for about 3 or 4 days that I assumed it was a 'normal' period but just a little lighter. It was only 2 weeks later it occured to me I might be pregnant and was. My baby was absolutely fine.
However, and sorry to now make you worry, I had no red blood and I've heard most people say brown blood is old and not too much to worry about but red (and lots of it, rather than a wipe here and there) is new and more cause for concern. There are no definite answers and I'm afraid the EPU will be your only real way of knowing. I so hope you have good news, good luck.
(BTW, my miscarriage was missed, had no bleeding at all, that's why I'm on this thread, you may wonder why else.)

feedmenow · 10/01/2008 12:03

Hi everyone! Seems like an age since I've been on. Every time I get a few minutes I manage to do a little catch up, but then don't have time to post. Such a busy life I lead!

Welcome to all our newbies. May your stays on this thread be long and dull

And I hear we have had some sad news too Big hugs all round. xxx

I managed to check out Beckles profile to see her glorious bump, plus all the other bump piccies posted since. My bump is covered in big blue veins, so I don't quite think I'll be brave enough to be posting any piccies on my profile!

Jules, I am so pleased to hear good news from you each day, and I hope your scan today is fantastic! I loved having a doppler.....so much reassurance for a worried mind. Although I've had absolutely no need to use mine for the past 8 weeks cos this baby is such a wriggler! I've read that they already have sleep/wake patterns - well, mine just seems to have an awake pattern!!!!! Just hoping that this isn't something it maintains after the birth!

hi thanks all i feel crashing your thread but I am finding that i am on an emotional rollercoaster

can they see a wee heartbeat at six weeks do you know

goingfor3 · 10/01/2008 14:07

stayinginfaith I saw a heart beat at 6+1 but not everyone does. They may have to tell you to return in a week which is very normal.

Jules, so happy your baby was moving around!

sweetkitty · 10/01/2008 15:30

jules - what brilliant news, do you have another scan booked now, not long until your past the danger zone and can have a "normal" pregnancy, I think everyone on this thread has been counting the days down with you.

stayininfaith - good luck with the scan tomorrow, it's difficult to say for sure. I for one have bled in 3 pregnancies, one heavy red blood baby fine, one little brown blood mc, one brown and red blood baby fine. It really doesn't follow a pattern I'm afraid but remember loads of women bleed in pregnancy and everything is fine so theres always hope x

Great news Jules
When are you past your personal danger zone? Those early weeks really drag!

sweetkitty · 10/01/2008 15:39

Great pic jules I'm 14 weeks today by standrad LMP but by scan am 14+3, I reckon we have got strong little bubs in there.

My booking in is on the 23rd Jan

Hi Ladies, sorry i have been hiding.

I go for 2nd scan tomorrow and suspect the EPAU will confirm its all over. The pain has been horrific, first m/c was very quick although emotionally devastating, this time I will just be relieved when its all over. That sounds awful doesn't it

Jules - I am pleased everthing is good with you both, you soo deserve this. Can I ask what the Heparin does? How long after referral to the miscarriage centre did you manage to find out what the problem is?

kate2179 · 10/01/2008 18:19

Hi Jules, know I don't belong here but just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS on your scan!!! Fantastic news and a gorgeous photo! I'm from the ttc after mc thread, but I lurk here occasionally as it gives me hope that one of these days I'll be joining you lovely ladies

Stayinginfaith so sorry to hear you're going through a rough time, really hope tomorrow goes well for you, unfortunately it can be something of a waiting game which in a sense is the hardest part. We'll be around if you need us, but will be keeping everything crossed for you that you won't!
