beckle - good luck for today hun, sending you lots of labour vibes

ts - by pelvic exam do you mean internal? i didnt think you had these when pg! i ve only ever had them in labour.

cece - glad your appointment went well and that the berevement mws are so helpful.

kd - thinking of you hun [hugs]

hi to fettle and daisy, are you getting broody again fettle

mrsmc - where are you? have you had a baby if not hope it all goes well

i am in serious pain after decorating dd2s and babies room yesterday, still not finished and have decided the pink ive used on 2 walls is to dark so going to have to do it again keep having lots of braxton hicks which are driving me scatty but had quite a lot last time so hopefully nothing to worry about.

hi to everyone else as well

MerlinsBeard · 08/01/2008 10:37

BEckle....hope today goes smoothly for you

MrsMcJnr...am steyoopidly excited for you that its nearly your turn....not that i am not excited for anyone else its that i have followed MrsMcs threads for a while and shes on the final countdown

Cece....I really really hope that you can get some closure soon. I cannot imagiane the pain that you are going thru. Let yourself cry, its ok, it won't make you forget. You need to let yourself grieve STill thinking ofyou

EllieG · 08/01/2008 12:10

Yes can't believe MrsMc is nearly there! Very exciting.

TwilightSurfer · 08/01/2008 12:34

Spugs, yes internal. They press around to see if everything "feels" proper. Oddly the question they ask mid poking is "does anything hurt?" Only what you're poking!! I'm wondering now if that didn't cause a mass of progestrone to be released because I was so tired after my last thread post yesterday that I'm JUST NOW getting out of bed. Kinda felt like I grew so more too. There's an internal look-see too. The doctor makes sure you cervix is high and closed. I can't remember if this is the only time in the process that I have this type exam...I think it might be.

meglet · 08/01/2008 12:50

oh twilight, I just looked at your scan. You probably heard my "aawwwwwwwwwww!" all the way over the atlantic .

TwilightSurfer · 08/01/2008 12:50
Smile
makecakesnotwar · 08/01/2008 13:00

Twilight- awesome scan pic. Bubba was looking at you!!

Good luck to Beckles and Mrs Mc (does she look like a Big Mac I wnder )

Love to Cece and KD...you both seem to be coping so well, I feel so helpless only being able to offer my love and best wishes.

And a big wave to everyone else...off to Israel for a wedding tomorrow, so have been for check-up with doc, got to hear Pip's heartbeat so delighted to be reassured before my last ever plane trip as a non-parent!!

Bouncingturtle · 08/01/2008 14:12

Hooray JULES!!!! That's awesome. Considering one of those myself but have to have doctor's approval in US or can be fined an ungodly amount. Totally forgot to ask him about it at my last visit. Now you'll be happy all the time listening to miniyou's heartbeat.

EllieG · 09/01/2008 08:49

Hurray for minijules! That's great

Uki · 09/01/2008 10:00

CONGRATS Jules- you have a stayer there, so happy for you. I don't think you will get sick of that sound, i used to say it was my new favorite sound on the whole planet

GOOD LUCK Mrs Mc can't wait to find out all about your LO

BECKLE- what's the news???? Hope you are both glowing in each other can't wait to hear.

all well here, my LO is nearly 5 months rolling over and grabbing at everyone and everything

sweetkitty · 09/01/2008 15:27

jules - that is fantastic news so so pleased for you, when is your next scan? How many times a day will you be listening to the heartbeat now?

gingercat12 · 09/01/2008 15:35

Jules What a great news!!!!

goingfor3 · 09/01/2008 15:40

I went for a scan this morning and my cervix is fine. I've been feeling really miserable today despite the fact all is well and it has just struck me it's because today was my due date for my last pregnancy

cece · 09/01/2008 15:43

goingfor3 - great news about your cervix

about your due date.

spugs · 09/01/2008 16:37

jules - great news about hearing hb

goingfor - glad cervix was fine, hope your ok x

beckle - hope your to busy snuggling your baby right now to post

mrsmc - your our (almost)new grande dame, thats came round so quick

Janus · 09/01/2008 16:52

Jules, great news about the heartbeat, your doppler must be good. I have a Summer doppler, thingy, and 22 weeks and still can't hear a damn thing! Luckily movements are very frequent now so I can rely on that to reassure all is well.
Goingfor3, glad the cervix is still strong. Due dates are really, really hard. I still remember mine every year and thank goodness I now have another lo on the way to ease the pain of that day which is in the next few months. Hope you can find comfort in thinking of your lo you are expecting now.
Do you think MrsMc has had hers? So unlike her not to check in for this long. Would be a little bit early but you never know!
Hope you are all staying well.

iliketosleep · 09/01/2008 20:57

so glad i talked jules into getting a doppler

WOOHOOOO

been tinkering with mine tonight but dont even think im 10 weeks yet

sweetkitty · 09/01/2008 21:01

G43 - glad your cervix is holding strong long may it continue

sorry about your due date mine isn't until March not looking forward to it

beckle - I hope you are holding your LO right now you lucky thing

14+1 weeks here can feel the baby move if I lie down at night and all is quiet
