Just a quick one to say best wishes to KD for tomorrow.

Jules - so happy for you - picture is fab!

MerlinsBeard · 10/01/2008 19:03

Jules, am sooo pleased you are past your personal danger zone Next 12 weeks...then movement. Personally i found the gap between 12 weeks and feeling movement the longest but you have your doppler so that should help
Oooh am so bouncy for you

MerlinsBeard · 10/01/2008 19:05

KD, i will be thinking of you tomo. SO sorry you are being dragged thru it. My mmc dragged on and on and i ended up having 3 scans and being refused an ERPC.

However, when i felt able to ask, i found people on MN very supportive.

EllieG · 10/01/2008 21:16

Jules - miniyou is beautiful - a lovely little baby. Am so pleased x

Kd - thinking of you for tomorrow x

EllieG · 11/01/2008 09:34

I didn't feel the baby move yesterday so nipped over to ante natal this morning - they put me on a trace and her heartbeat was lovely and strong

She also started kcking like a good 'un cos of the ultrasound, was such a relief. And they said she had a really good trace for 26 weeks, which is nice.

spugs · 11/01/2008 09:53

jules - brilliant news and your scan pic is fab so pleased for you. my little sis had 3 mcs due to clotting issues but was only treated with asprin her little girl is now 2

kd - thinking of you hun x

ellieg - glad everything was ok, i start panicing if i havent felt this one move for about 1/2 hour! but my aunt almost lost my cousin and it was only getting the lack of movements checked out that saved him so its
always worth getting checked out. (though i do try to leave it a bit longer then half an hour )

Merryoncemore · 11/01/2008 10:11

Jules - Glad to hear that everything is going so well and your bean is nice and strong, you must be very relieved.

kd - Thinking of you today

Ellieg - Is your DP/DH supportive of you just nipping over to ante natal? I'm having a real issue at this moment as my DH seems completly uninterested and keeps telling me that I'm obsessive and no good will come of it. He's even being awkward about me having a 9 week reassurance scan, saying we can just wait to 12 weeks like all normal people . I think after my 2 previous m/c's he is just scared of finding out something is wrong but the lack of support and being made to feel like a loon is really getting me down and I don't know how to handle it.

EllieG · 11/01/2008 10:37

My DP is accepting of me being a loon! He is very calm about everything but understands that I am not. I had a 9 week scan - I couldn't not have done as I was worrying myself sick. He was fab - came along and mopped me up before/during/after it as I howled from start to finish even though it was good news! He didn't come today mind, but I didn't want too much fuss, and he would have done if I'd asked him.

Merryoncemore · 11/01/2008 11:13

Sounds good, my DH see's my loonacy as some type of weakness and feels I should just get over myself, whereas I would argue that it's normal behaviour in the circumstances. I know I need to call him on it but just don't have the energy to tackle it right now!

Ah well, on the plus side I'm still pregnant 7+6 and I've never got this far before, so it's all good

EllieG · 11/01/2008 11:14

Exactly. Healthy and well merry!

No, they interupted your sleep, they should be bloody well apologising to you!

However if they are lovely it might be worth having a giggle over them with it, you know "sorry for the pink nightdressed raving loon but if I don't get enough sleep I'm a nightmare and thats the 2nd nights broken sleep your beautiful little dog has given me" fashion. They should hopefully not only take it in good grace but keep their dog under control going forward.

Janus · 11/01/2008 13:00

justjules, why is their dog outside at that time of night?? Do they shut it out at night, poor little thing if they do.
Anyway, I woulld go for what 'merry' said because I'm waaaaaaaay too diplomatic for confrontration!!

sweetkitty · 11/01/2008 16:02

jules - I would have a word with them what are they doing shutting a little dog in the garden at 5am it's bloody freezing at that time in the morning no wonder the thing is barking, they must hear it as well.

merry - I am definitely in the loon category but it's my DP who keeps saying I don't seem to be very keen on being pregnant again, think I was more excited about the other 2 this time I have been subdued to say the least, at first didn't want it to register in case anything went wrong, now I'm just trying to plod through each day, will get more excited once baby is kicking me in the ribs and we know what flavour it is.

EllieG - good news about the baby

KD73 - hope today is going as well and straighforward as it can for you (((hugs)))

trish12 · 11/01/2008 17:41

lol, i am defo a knicker checker and a bog roll checker!! in fact my boyfriend took a sneaky picture of me checking the loo roll after id just had a wee to prove it!! and i still sat on the loo !!!

kd73 · 11/01/2008 19:26

We had the repeat scan which confirmed our suspicians that we have indeed just had our 2nd m/c (& no you don't win a prize).

Despite what we were told last week, they aren't going to undertake tests for recurrent m/c unless it occurs again. But if and when we get another BFP they will scan us more frequently.

We have decided to take the medical advice and stop ttc for at least a month and I am going to try and give up my addiction as a MN in the interim.

If I relapse and lurk / post, I hope to find lots of baby dust flying around and stories of hope and joy.

Particular thanks to Jules (and all those with recurrent m/c)- you are my inspiration. If you can endure the pain and disapointment then so will I if need be - I will be brave!!!!!

Thanks again ladies and good luck with your bambinos!

TJuice · 11/01/2008 22:46

dear kd

i am so sorry to hear that. hope you will get the time, comfort and headspace you need right now.
over here, several of the medical professionals i have seen have been quite blase about having 2 m/cs, suggesting that its very "normal" and means nothing serious. of course, i don't appreciate that flippant attitude, because i know how devasting it is but i wonder if its more common that we realise. i am still amazed about how schtum women are about m/c . . . .

anyway, that is beside the point.
best of luck with your mn and ttc hiatus and remember we are all here for you, when you decide to come back and WHEN (not if) you get a BFP.

hugs
tjuice
xx

Hi all, have not hads time to catch up yet but wanted to let you know that Evie May arrived on Tuesday night at 9.32pm weighing 9lbs 15oz!

Birth storyhere for all those interested.

Hope everyone else is okay - will try to catch up with you all over the weekend x

Bouncingturtle · 12/01/2008 08:46

KD - so sorry to hear your news. I hope that you get some answers and that you will be back on here soon.

To all you ladies still feeling nervous and paranoid, the feeling lessens as you get past each milestone, but doesn't go away. I was still worrying up until I heard Daniel's first cry! And I still worry about him! I do think that having the m/c before Daniel really makes him all the more precious to me. I feel so priviledged and lucky to have him and you will feel the same way when you hold your los.
