lcy
I am so pleased for you, I logged on today especially to check out you news, so glad it's good.
I too have booked a follow up scan for 10 weeks just for further piece of mind.
Congrats again x

meglet · 06/01/2008 13:31

hi everyone.

Thanks for the positive vibes twilight and sweetkitty.

iliketosleep I had light brown bleeding after sex during my first pregnancy. I had sex when I was nearly 6 weeks gone last time and started bleeding almost immediatley then MC. So no sex for me and dp for a long time. We're going to be ultra cautious.

sweetkitty · 06/01/2008 14:40

happy Sunday everyone

Tjuice - I know what you mean I'm nearly 14 weeks now and still worrying, wish thsi one would hurry up and start wahcking me in the ribs every day then I will know it's fine, I do feel it moving but only at night and it's very tiny "pops" or flutterings.

ILTS - I think we had sex once or twice this time but then when I started bleeding at 10 weeks we stopped and haven't got around to starting again both of us didn't really feel like it with what was going on. My sex drive nose dives in pregnancy too mostly because the SPD makes it painful, DP always says he sees the state I'm in getting up for a wee at night theres no way he would suggest anything else. Sometimes we manage it very gently and carefully though.

beckle - you still hanging on in there, looks like you have very late, very big babies then You could definitely tell DD2 was incubated 4 weeks longer than DD1, DD1 was a jaundiced skinny little thing who looked so fragile and took ages to master BFing, DD2 came out found a boob and never stopped eating. My advice is book some appointments for a hair cut and a wax etc chances are the baby will come before you get to go and if not you get pampered and look nice for it's arrival

KD73 - thinking of you today x

DonDons · 06/01/2008 18:08

ILTS - we waited till after 14 weeks scan as both were so paranoid but tbh I was suffering so much with MS I didn't really feel like it until 18 weeks (poor DH!)

becklespeckle · 06/01/2008 18:20

Twighlight, that is a perfect bump! You'll be my size before you know it!

ILTS, I am very wary of sex while pg in the early stages, I also had bleeding after sex but only in my sucessful pgs. I was advised not to before 12 weeks with this pg because of previous bleeding and m/c. TBH though I felt too rough to begin with anyway!

Alas Spugs, I am still here with no sign of baby putting in an appearance! Assessment appointment tomorrow so will see what they say and when they want me in to start me off. After 2 spontaneous (if late) labours it feels very strange to be heading for induction this time!

EllieG · 07/01/2008 10:02

I didn't have much in early stages but mainly cos I didn't feel like it! Am raring to go now though - DP thinks all his Christmasses have come at once! I never had any bleeding for either PG so I guess that hasn't been something that I've needed to be aware of.

spugs - am 26 weeks now! Can't believe it - think I am starting to really feel that I'll actually have a real baby at the end of this, rather than thinking that the worst is going to happen.

makecakesnotwar · 07/01/2008 10:16

Morning all! Finally managed to drag my arse out of bed- sleeping like I am drugged at the moment. Best make the most of it, or so my bloody MIL keeps chanting.

ILTS as we mc after having sex first time round, DH and I were both totally paranoid with this pg. Think we waited until 14 weeks. Since then I have been rather keen on it, shall we say. DH is delighted to have been sent to Manchester this week to escape my attentions!

Tjuice- now 19 weeks, and baby wriggling like a synchronised swimmer, so slowly getting less stressed about the wole thing. I only stress every hour now, rather than every minute!

Beckle- so amazed by your bump- is it rock solid?? I couldn't begin to guess the weight, but I am guessing you'll be quite glad not to be carrying it round anymore. Keeping fingers and toes crossed for you!

Thinking of KD.

makecakesnotwar · 07/01/2008 10:31

Following trend and have added bump pic...

EllieG · 07/01/2008 11:03

'Tis a fab bump makecakes

TwilightSurfer · 07/01/2008 12:46

YES wonderful bump makecakes!!

becklespeckle · 07/01/2008 14:05

That's a great bump Makecakes! My bump is mostly solid except when baby goes back-to-back - then it is squishy!

MrsMc, hope you are okay! Only a few more days until your due date now! Hope you are either relaxing at home or snuggling with your LO!

Had assessment this morning and they strapped me up to a monitor. Baby seems happy enough and they were pleased with the tightenings I was getting too. BP okay, think there were some traces of stuff in urine (can't read MW's writing properly...) No sweep or anything but they are taking me in in the morning for induction (hooray!) so hopefully everything will go well and I will have my baby tomorrow! Just hope ward is not too busy in the morning - I shall cry if it is! Been a bit panicky about the birth so will be glad when it is over and I have baby safely in my arms!

Healthy and Well to everyone else xxx

sweetkitty · 07/01/2008 15:50

makecakes - great looking bump

beckle - tomorrow you get to meet your baby wow wish it were me (well not the labour bit) but would love to have a newborn to cuddle (SK does know there is a bit more to it than just cuddles though).

Apparently there is a theory if you are haivn a boy you want sex all the time if it's a girl you don't.

Am going to ask general MN question on this matter

Janus · 07/01/2008 17:01

Very sorry to hear KD's news, I hope you are managing if you do check on this thread.
Beckle, how amazing that you'll be meeting your LO in a matter of hours! Hope you manage to get some sleep tonight, although your mind may be racing! Can't wait to see your posting.
Cece, have the hospital sorted out their errors yet? I do hope so and you have some answers.
MrsMc, where are you??!! In hospital??! If you do read this before you give birth I hope it all goes smoothly for you.
Hello everyone else.
I had my anomaly scan today, 22 weeks, and all was completely fine, such a relief. In some way I am glad that is my last scan now, I really don't look forward to them at all. I have a whirlwind few weeks ahead, we are moving house in 3 weeks and have various leaving parties for my girls and us to organise (as well as the move to organise!). Then we have to get used to a whole new area and find a new hospital, etc, etc. I'm not sleeping that well as keep waking up and remembering things to do at 3.00am! Anyone got any sleeping tips??

cece · 07/01/2008 17:18

Thanks for asking Janus. I have had first counselling session this afternoon. It was gaood to talk and cry about some of the things that are preying on my mind.

Hope is currently at the hospital where the pathologist does her post mortem. The mw today said she would phone me as soon as she heard anything - even if they were bringing her back to our local hospital. The bereavement mw are fantastic.

Beckle - how exciting. Thinking of you tomorrow.

DonDons · 07/01/2008 18:13

Hugs to you Cece..xx

Janus - great news

Beckle - big hugs and best wishes for tomorrow

x

hotchoc · 07/01/2008 18:36

flying by to say hello, dd is 5 weeks aleady, look forward to reading about next new babies and happy healthy thoughts for everyone..

hotchocx

meglet · 07/01/2008 18:54

I love the bump pics everyone!

Best of luck tomorrow Beckle. Not long now!

I am 5 + 6 today, no real signs of being pg, a tiny bit of nausea and slightly puffy boobs, but would appreciate something a bit more dramatic so I know everything is ok! Mind you with first baby I was only sick once so I probably shouldn't panic yet.

TwilightSurfer · 07/01/2008 20:07

Okay first Beckle GOOD LUCK TOMORROW!! I'm so very excited for you.

Sweetkitty may I debunk your theory. Whilst pregnant with DD I craved sex like a mad woman but refused to "do it" for fear of causing complications. Haven't had the same urges yet but they didn't start till around 12 weeks last time. Will keep you posted.

My doctor's visit today went very well...despite the fact I'm achey now from the pelvic exam. The baby measured perfectly 8W+2D and had a heartbeat of 158. I can't tell you how important it was for me that the measurement be on target. So to this point I've basically had a TEXTBOOK pregnancy. I did agree to the special 1st semester "Advanced Maternal Age" tests performed by a perinatologist at 12 weeks...I think that's pretty much like your nuctual screen. They'll scan me again and do more bloods to look for disorders. That will be 04FEB then I'll follow up with my private OB/GYN on 08FEB. Until then I'm just suppose to sit back and enjoy my pregnancy. I posted the new picture of Baby Twilight taken today. It's really cool because it totally looks like the baby is looking right at you.

DaisyBoo · 07/01/2008 20:13

beckle...GOOD LUCK for tomorrow. Can't wait to hear your news. I've been offline since before Christmas, and thought I'd be logging on to news of your baby!!! Glad I've not missed it, but sorry you've had to wait this long.

MrsMcJR, hope you are well and that you get to meet your LO sooner rather than later.

Hi to everyone else. I've not caught up with the thread, but I hope things are going well for everyone.

I've had a rollercoaster of A christmas and New Year with mum having good days and bad days and days when we were all around her bedside waiting for her last breath, but she is so spirited and tenacious and is hanging on in there. She seems to have stabilised overall, but every bad dfay she has seems that little bit worse than before.

Came home on Saturday, but expect to be up there again next weekend if not before.

Will try to pop in soon for news of beckle and MrsMcJr!

Take Care all

daisy xx

TJuice · 07/01/2008 20:45

makecakes - aaaw - you look great!
i hope i start to look preggers soon. i am not a skinnifer by any means but i think my "bump" is just pure podge right now.

Merryoncemore · 07/01/2008 20:54

Hi everyone, I hope you are all well. Just a quick note to say:

Becklespeckle - Good Luck, I hope everything goes swimmingly for you tomorrow.

Mrs Mc - If you are still out there, I hope things are going well.

KD - If you're popping in and out still, thinking of you and crossing everything I have.
