Hey jules - worry is slightly less, but just seems to change and mutate into 'what if there's something wrong with the baby?' worry. I don't think I'll really beleive it's OK until she pops out. Have been thinking of names - I like Bella very much at moment.
Glad bleeding is easing off - miniyou is obviously a fighter!

p2b · 05/12/2007 10:33

Morning

Thanks for all the replies. I am pleased to report that there has been no further brown mucus (and it really was the tiniest bit) so I'll try and feel a little more positive about the scan on Friday. I think I'm also feeling low because I feel really awful, I have much worse nausea than before and generally feel wiped out. Of course when I do have a reprieve and feel slightly better then I fear the worse because the symptoms have vanished. Argh... How you you ever make it through 9 months....

Bouncingturtle · 05/12/2007 11:05

I've just thought of a new thread title for the next one -

"There's no such thing as TMI here!"

EllieG · 05/12/2007 12:01

((((hugs)))) to p2b - sorry you are feeling lousy hon. It won't stay for the whole 9 months - remember the first trimester defo the worst and after that some blooming hopefully!

iliketojinglethembells · 05/12/2007 15:11

i feel sick

TwilightSurfer · 05/12/2007 18:34

fettleandbabyfettle & minspugs thanks for sharing. Just knowing it's possible makes me smile.

minspugs · 05/12/2007 19:45

bouncing turtle - thats a good one, where else could you discuss bodily function with complete strangers and not blush

iliketo - pukings good isnt it? i was always told that ms was a sign of a strong pregnancy. may have been complete balls but might make the sickness seem less crap

ellie - has bubba started wiggling yet? i felt worried quite a lot till this one started rattling round but now feel much more reasurred. of course i panic like mad if she has a quiet day but thats part and parcle i suppose.

twilight - good luck hun, apparently your more fertile after an mc so hopefully youll get a bfp soon.

iliketojinglethembells · 05/12/2007 20:00

yeah its definatly good justdont like feeling sick

mcchesers · 05/12/2007 20:55

ilts- I know what you mean..sitting here just after eating a small micro meal and not enjoying the nauseous aftermath. Very gentle hugs to you.

becklesparkle · 05/12/2007 21:32

Hi all!

Thanks for the Toblerone Jules! Hope that bleeding stops for you soon, it is so scary but your minime is hanging in there!

P2B, glad you've had no more brown gunk, I had some early on in this pg and at various stages in my pgs with the DSs - easier said than done not to worry but brown is good.

NH, beans are looking good! Love seeing the pics of them together!

Ellie, Bella is a lovely name, I really like it but can't use it as my surname starts with B , doesn't go too well.

Spugs, hope you enjoyed thos After Eights! A few weeks ago I had such a thing for Toblerones I ended up going and buying loads of mini ones as I was struggling to put the big ones down once they were open! Have put on nearly 2.5 stone now - 3 weeks to go!

SweetiesandCakess, welcome to the thread, hope you have an uneventful pregnancy. You are in good company here, we all know how difficult the early days are!

Bouncingturtle · 05/12/2007 21:38

I've just been grazing all day...
just can't seem to stop eating!

becklesparkle · 05/12/2007 21:44

Am the opposite Bouncing, haven't been hungry for a couple of weeks now, have to keep reminding myself to eat!

Bouncingturtle · 05/12/2007 21:56

Well up to a couple of days ago I had a very poor appetite, looks like it's coming back with a vengeance!!

I think I'm a bit obsessive atm - 1 of the ladies from my NCT AN classes has had her baby and another one is in labour!

EllieG · 06/12/2007 08:55

Mornin' all - everyone OK? Feeling any better today iliketojingle?

Felt an actual PROPER kick last night, that could not be mistaken for wind. Was so excited spent rest of evening lying very still and prodding self in stomach. Poor little thing.

Bouncingturtle · 06/12/2007 09:12

Yep I used to do that in the early stage - don't worry you won't harm baby, might piss it off a bit and when it gets bigger give you an almighty kick in the ribs!
I often feel quite painful movements - usually a knee or a foot digging into a sensitive spot, normally when I am stood up!

Hey ladies how are you all? Had a MW appointment yesterday, Beanie is doing well strong heartbeat and head 3/5ths engaged

Impop ? how was your scan hon?

Hey Bouncing ? why were you in work?! they are really piling it on me and DH is worried that they?ll try to push me to do more when I am off ? no way! I have 2 weeks today left, can?t go quickly enough, getting really tired and just want to focus on Beanie and nesting how are you?

Justjules we are picking up our buggy and car seat tonight can?t wait!! My sis called me last night to tell me that she was only 2 days off from having my nephew when she was my stage (34+2) and my Mum was only a week away from having me! not ready yet!! No practice pushing though had some sore contractions/BH the other night ? sorry about the bleeding ? has it stopped now hon? Are you not considering tummy injecting? It would be so much easier than arms and legs, so glad that you saw a Beanie with a hb take great care of you x

LCY hope the bleed is not what you think it is x

Hey Beckle hope you are taking it easy on mat leave I?m with you on the appetite, some days I?m just not hungry at all.

Minispugs ? lovely about those kicks!

NH101 ? so glad all is going well, saw a T shirt on eBay and thought of you, it said ?I?ve got two peas in my pod? your pics are gorgeous ? so special.

Welcome Sweetiesandcakes how exciting! I was a twin and there are lots in my family on both sides, maybe next time!

Iliketotrickottreat ? how did you know that about NH101?s twins? What flavour do you reckon my Beanie is?

Twilightsurfer ? fingers crossed there have been lots of MN ladies who have conceived quickly again so I hope it all works out for you x

P2b ? thinking of you and sending positive vibes x

EllieG ? lovely news about the big kick

Hello to everyone else!

EllieG · 06/12/2007 12:17

Hey mrsmc - great news that little McJnr is doing so well x

nh101andhertwinbeans · 06/12/2007 12:46

Hey Ellie - are you having a girl then? Congrats! That's lovely. I was just thinking of you this morning thinking it must be your 20-week scan sometime soon (or just gone)

We are going to find out what sex the twins are - DH didn't want to know but I really did - it will be so much easier to get things organised before the birth. He was wavering then he went out to watch football in the pub at lunchtime and said he'd be back at 3. Well he rolled in at 4.30, thought I would be mad at him, so to appease me he said I could find out the sex if I wanted! Well there's no going back now - he shouldn't have had that seventh pint should he?

Mrsmc - deffo going to look for that T-shirt. My sisters call me "Pea" because I have a small head (they are just jealous cos I am the prettiest - ha ha!) so they would love "got two peas in my pod"

Sweeties - was thinking about what's different when PG with twins so you can symptom spot! I think the most obvious thing with me is my heartrate. It is 96 beats per minute even when lying on the sofa and I can feel it pounding all the way through my body. When I am lied down I can hear it in my head, feel it in the tips of my fingers and feel it all the way down my back and legs! It is mad. I can count my heartrate without having to feel for a pulse! It is all the extra blood rushing round and may not be just when having twins but you never know. I started to show at 10 weeks - there was a definite movement of my uterus upwards at that point.

Unfortunately (or fortunately for you maybe!) twins only get passed down through the female side and it is only non-identicals that are hereditary (cos the release of two eggs at a time from the ovary is obviously the condition that causes twins!)

MrsMcJnr · 06/12/2007 13:01

NH101 - I have to tell you something I have friends with triplets, they occured because there were twins down both his and her lines, the female line provided the 2 eggs for hereditary twins BUT there is recent reasearch to show that identical twins may be passed down the male line as it is due to some genetic thing that makes the egg split - so my friends have identical twin boys and a hereditary twin girl!

Sweetiesandcakes · 06/12/2007 13:29

so .......according to research I may or may not be carryind twins. My heart rate is 86 beats per minute - sitting down watching tele now. Who knows - only tme will tell but I will keep everyone posted. If i did have twins would my dd who is 2 feel left out as the twins got older? would they play together an ignore her?

becklesparkle · 06/12/2007 13:35

MrsMc, at your work for piling it on - I think lots of them do that! Mat leave is great but soo much to catch up on that have not rested yet! Glad to hear your baby has engaged so far already! Mine hasn't! I know that is not unusual for 3rd babies but I wouldn't be too surprised if you pop before I do!

imopop · 06/12/2007 13:36

Mrs Mcjnr-My scan was fabulous. Now 12+2 weeka. Feel less stressed. Have to have close monitoring as high rish pregnancy. Next scan in 5 weeks. Thanks for asking.
Big hugs to all who having scary momentsxx
