Hey welcome minichoc! How exciting! My DH is a capricorn and he's awesome December babies rock.

Feeling off and on better. There is no rhyme or reason to this MS..just when it feels like appearing, it appears..and dissapears.

I'm still always in the loo checking out my knickers, so nothing has changed there.

SK- Thanks for the support MILs are from the moon. She says she wants to buy all this stuff for the kid and I'm just letting her have her fantasy. I can't think that far ahead.

So happy to see you Twigh!

NEXT tuesday is my scan. ugh gotta wait all week....boo.

Bouncingturtle · 11/12/2007 09:28

McChesers - my m/s was the same, on and off again.. for about 20 odd weeks! Don't read too much into it!

TwilightSurfer · 11/12/2007 09:50

At least you have MS. I'm only getting tiny waves of nausea. MS would give me comfort right now letting me know my hormones are doing their job.

MrsMcJnr · 11/12/2007 09:57

Ladies hope you are all ok just wanted to drop in and say hello as I know it's been a while and I didn't want anyone to worry. All is well. It's just a tiring balance between work and being 35 weeks at the mo. More from me soon

Bouncingturtle · 11/12/2007 10:13

TS - my mum never had m/s when she was carrying me or my brothers, and we turned out alright. Well except that my brothers are a pair of selfish little sh!ts, but that's another story...

OP posts:
MincecePie · 11/12/2007 14:24

I have never had ms so try not to worry.

Since my bleed on Friday I am nw back in the land of Paranoia... I have convinced myself that I haven't felt the baby kick since Sunday... Although there may have been some mild kicking yesterday briefly. Is it normal to feel kicking daily at 18 weeks or am I being paranoid? Up till now it has been kicking regularly but not sure if it was everyday, of course I am now thinking it was everyday...

Arghhhhh.... all I want to do is get hold of one of those listening devices to check...

imdreamingofawhiteKITTYmas · 11/12/2007 14:28

hi all

Well I am in had a red bleed this morning with about 3 clots in it, next time I went to the toilet about 2 hours later there was brown spotting, since then nothing but I am a nervous wreck.

EPAS is rubbish about a weeks wait for a scan, I am supposed to be seeing GP tomorrow to tell him I am pregnant as well.

Am 9+6 weeks today, haven't had sex recently so not that.

MincecePie · 11/12/2007 14:33

Have you tried phoning the midwives directly - they can often get you an early scan referral quickly. I got one within 2 hours when I had a bleed at 9 weeks.

becklesparkle · 11/12/2007 15:03

McCheesers - , thought you meant today for scan...

MrsMc, glad you are okay! I found those last couple of weeks at work really, really hard and my job was not as demanding as yours! Nearly time for your MAT leave now though.

Cece, I think it is normal not to feel movements every day at 18 weeks, some people don't feel anything until after 20! It depends on where baby is lying, which way it is facing and where the placenta is. Have you spoken to the MWs? I am sure they would have a listen for you if you said how worried you are.

Kitty, fingers crossed it is nothing to worry about, as Cece said, could you try phoning the MWs direct?

Hope everyone else is healthy and well

minspugs · 11/12/2007 16:58

urgghhh having sympathy ms for you all at 25 weeks!!! after it stopping at 9 weeks. feel sick and appitite gone (amazing i know).

hotchoc- congrats on your baby

Janus · 11/12/2007 17:15

Hello everyone,
Fantastic news hotchoc, hope you are enjoying your little minichoc!
MrsMc, can't believe you're 35 weeks, I bet you are thinking about Xmas and suddenly your due date will be here!
Twilight, glad your levels are where they should be. I craved avocado big style in first few weeks of pregnancy, haven't had one for a while but used to have one everyday with a little bit of french dressing poured in, yum!
Franfoxy, welcome and, believe me, this thread will help you through the coming weeks. Good luck.
Mincepie, I am 18 weeks too and went to the GP on Monday as I managed to electrocute myself last week and haven't felt any movements so far. Anyway, perfect heartbeat, GP's all have doppplers now so can listen in. I couldn't hear a thing as my heartbeat was right on top of little bean but she swears it was there!! I find it quicker and easier to go to GP rather than wait to see mw in hospital, may be worth making an appointment?
Kitty, I hope everything is OK with you and that you are holding up. A week is a lifetime to wait when you feel so worried, hope they can see you asap.
Hello everyone else. I am shattered, anyone else??!! 18 weeks pregnant, partner away a lot (12 days, back for weekend, off again 4 days this week), 2 other dc, dog, oh yes, house move which seems to be all falling down to me as I'm in the country!, Xmas shopping, Xmas school plays (actually lovely so not complaining about that!), dinner for 10 on Saturday night. Think I may be overdoing it slightly at the moment! Off to get tea for kids and try and get them down for 7.15pm tonight and hope they don't notice it's a bit early!!
Take care everyone.

TwilightSurfer · 11/12/2007 19:12

Janus you sound a bit like Wonder Woman.

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 11/12/2007 20:12

ooh, congrats to hotchoc. I've been away so am just catching up.

Well Done and enjoy your DD

MincecePie · 11/12/2007 22:39

OK eveyone it is bad news

Went to day assessment unit and ended up on labour ward for a scan. No heartbeat. baby has died

I knew there was something wrong. Have to go in tomorrow to have a pill which will prepare me for an induction on Friday. and scared. Has anyone had this happen at 18 weeks? How could it be kicking so much on Friday and heartbeat heard on saturday and now gone?

Emmsy1 · 11/12/2007 23:01

Mincepie sorry to reply to you when I don't belong to this thread, I am so very very sorry that this has happened to you, especially when you are so far gone. I belong to the miscarriage thread. My advice would be to wait a little longer before "taking a pill" even ask another hospital for a second oppinion if possible, miracles do and can happen. If you believe that this is the end of your pregnancy then go with what your heart tells you to do, please do not feel as though you must make up your mind straight away, give your self time to come to terms with what has happened to you and your baby.
If at a later date you know for sure that you have lost your beautiful baby then please come and join the miscarriage thread, they really do help alot of people come to terms and help to get over miscarriages,
Take care sweet heart I hope and pray that things will be ok XXXXXX

TwilightSurfer · 11/12/2007 23:45

MincecePie I'll second Emmsy1. A second opinion might be a good idea at the present moment. {{{HUGS}}} Do you have someone close to talk to in RL? No matter the direction, you need hands on support right now.

cece, I'm not sure we've "spoken" before, but I've seen your name. I'm so so sorry .

A colleague of mine's DD lost her DS at 19 weeks in similar circumstances; one day fine, the next day gone. There was a chromosonal disorder iirc.

wishing you and your family strength for getting through the next few days and weeks. I can only imagine how hard this will be.

The Miscarriage Association supportline number

becklesparkle · 12/12/2007 00:41

Oh Cece, my heart is breaking for you .

Janus · 12/12/2007 08:09

Oh cece, my heart is breaking for you. I absolutely cannot imagine what you are going through to lose one so late, life can be complete shit sometimes.
When I had my mmc I always thought I should have got a second opinion (I don't know why, I even asked to be scanned again but they said no), if you feel you would like one then do it as I still sometimes feel I should have. I also always felt I should have contacted the miscarriage association as everything seemed so bad for so long, I would consider ringing them.
There are no words other than to say we are all so sad and will be thinking of you for a long time. Take care x

minspugs · 12/12/2007 08:39

oh cece, im so sorry. I hope your getting the support you need. thinking of you and your little one x
