@deedeebythesea, I met my health visitor today but it was a video call as they're not doing home visits until after the birth at the moment in my area. It was lovely. Just a chat with information about the health visitor service xx

@unicornpower sorry using the new thread to answer your question from the old one.

I've got gestational diabetes so they won't let me get past 40 weeks. And depending on how my growth scan goes in 3 weeks time there is a reasonable chance I'll be induced. I'm hoping it may only be a couple of days before my due date, but will go by how big baby is & whether they consider her to be at risk

Thanks @Bubbles1st. Last leg now for a few of us! 4 weeks three days for me. Got a week of appointments, midwife, doctor, consultant for the birth plan... won't be long until I'll have to get used to not being pregnant and being a mum!

Isn't it scary how it's suddenly not far away? In one way, I feel like I've been pregnant forever... and in the other, I'm like holy crap, I'm not ready to have a baby in 5.5 weeks!

Also started to absolutely hate work mainly my new stupid sexist colleague so decided to start maternity waaaaay early, next week yehaw.

I’ve packed mine, I packed 3 changes of clothes, hopefully that will be enough!

@FTEngineerM I was just going to pack for like 2 days/an overnight, thinking that DP could always bring more from home if needed after the first 24/48hrs... is that a bit naive?!

Thanks @SP2Bx @Squibble84 sounds sensible and I think that’ll fit in my overnight bag, I’m having a major brain fart over this. Just realised I need to buy some travel sized things too all my shampoos are massive 😂

Hello I’ve missed so many threads! Hope you are all well! I’ve a consultant appt next week to plan csection date I’m measuring a week ahead so hoping this will be an august baby as I’m massive and had enough like I imagine a lot of you feel! I’ve had bloody covid the last few weeks too it’s been horrible. Got all our sons newborn stuff out can’t believe how tiny everything is! X

I've pretty much finalised packing my hospital bag and have packed for 1 night. Apparently London hospitals don't keep you any longer than that. I'm picking some extra bits and bobs to stay in the car in case I need it so hubby can just grab it.
Is anyone here planning a water birth? I'm starting to consider one as it sounds relaxing, well as relaxing as childbirth can be!!!

I'm packing minimal things in the hospital bag. Will write a list for husband to put together an extra bag if needed if I end up staying in longer, he can always drop it off. Got some cheap travel bottles from Amazon to dispense shampoo / shower Gel etc in.

Moved out of our flat today, can't believe how exhausted I am after repeatedly picking things up from the floor, packing boxes, bending over. Not even lifting much. Feel like my bones are aching
