Anyone else out there due April 2022.
I got my BFP at 10DPO yesterday. I already have a 6 month old daughter and it's my 4th pregnancy 🌈❤️

Hi all :)

I got my BFP just over a week ago and am around 6 weeks pregnant after a bit of a fertility journey. This will be my second child (all being well!) just a really stupid question... does anyone ever panic they aren't actually pregnant? I've had a positive digital test that at the time stated 2-3 weeks and I obviously have not had a period - I know I ovulated due to the fertility treatment. I am irrationally panicking maybe I'm not pregnant and somehow I just didn't get my period and the pregnancy test was wrong (writing this down I can see how ridiculous I sound!!) I just don't have many pregnancy symptoms at all (though, with my first I didn't realise I was pregnant until 12 weeks due to irregular cycles so I don't seem to have very obvious pregnancies!). I am not sure what I'm looking for with this post! Maybe someone to just tell me I a positive pregnancy test and no period definitely = pregnant!

@WorryMcGee give it a week and you won’t be eating fruit and veg lol all I can stomach is junk food atm. Most important is to take folic acid everyday from now on along with your pregnancy vitamins. You will be fine and congrats xx

LittleMG · 20/08/2021 22:33

@Rosalind22 you have a positive pregnancy test and you haven’t had your period, definitely sounds like pregnant to Grin glad you’re feeling well, I am too, 4 weeks in so only just found out a few days ago. This will be my second.

Boredinthehouse12 · 20/08/2021 23:08

For the ladies that has their scan around 6 weeks, what were your CRL measurements? I think mine is coming up small and all my optimism is starting to fade.

Derbee · 20/08/2021 23:43

@wannabeamummysobad I am currently 8w2d. It’s a free app, and it’s really interesting. I have my first appoint with my midwife on Tuesday.

anothermonthbitesthedust · 21/08/2021 07:04

Hi everyone congratulations on all the pregnancy's

I've been lurking on here for a while but have been too scared to join. I've been TTC #2 for 16 months. Had one MMC at 8 weeks and a MC at 5 weeks. I'm currently pregnant I think 6 weeks. I had my early reassurance scan yesterday and thankfully a heartbeat was seen. The consultant unhelpfullly said it was 'only small'. Frantic googling found this
@Boredinthehouse12
www.perinatalservicesbc.ca/Documents/Guidelines-Standards/Standards/Ultrasound/CRLChart.pdf
This was done on North American Caucasian women so probably needs to be adjusted depending on your background.

Sadly I'm still measuring small on this scale so bracing myself for no progress at my scan in a fortnight. But as my sister keeps telling me today I am pregnant.

I was given aspirin and progesterone pessaries. Is anyone taking the progesterone as well? What do you think of it?

Also is anyone else too scared to have sex poor dh is being very supportive but I know he's missing it.

Wish you all luck and thank everyone for posting on the group message I find it a real support through the day to check in with you all

wannabeamummysobad · 21/08/2021 07:23

@Derbee thanks will give it a look. I too have my first appointment next week. Will be 5w3d (realised I was shorting my dates because I hadn't factored in the fact I have a 25d cycle)

Kirst0123 · 21/08/2021 07:38

Hi everyone!!

I'm due April 2022, this is my first pregnancy so feeling a little nervous but super excited! I'm 5+3 weeks but feeling anxious that my little pip is still OK. Does anyone have any tips for reassurance and knowing if everything is OK?

Boredinthehouse12 · 21/08/2021 08:32

@anothermonthbitesthedust thanks for the link. I’ve had a look at so many charts and find it hard to know what’s correct. I had my scan at 6+1 and only measured 4.5. Although a heartbeat was seen, I know it’s on the small side.

I’ve had 2 previous miscarriages and was measuring small with my first. I really hope this isn’t a repress.

Im currently taking aspirin but think I might ask for progesterone next time. How are you finding it?

Whitechar · 21/08/2021 08:49

@Kirst0123
I'm due April, I'be lost 2 in 18months so I'm really on edge, so I booked a private scan and I went yesterday I'm 6weeks+5 I'm due 11th April the day I lost my Last one this year ❤️
Baby heartbeat very strong and baby is all ok!
Maybe book one if you want to be resured. So amazing to see on the screen. Makes it more feel so real. I'm booked in again at 10 weeks for another private scan.
As our midwifes and nsh where I live are little behind because of covid. So I'm not likely to get a scan Untill im 14 weeks.
Hope all goes well Smile x

Whitechar · 21/08/2021 08:52

@Boredinthehouse12

Hi everyone!!

@Kirst0123 congrats! I'm 5+3 as well ☺️ this is my second pregnancy as I miscarried in 2016 & I've been feeling hyper aware that I might miscarry again. I don't know if you'd find it helpful but I've been using a website to calculate using stats/research how likely it is for me to miscarry. Today it tells me my probability of not miscarrying is 83.3%! I know it's still a possibility but it's helping soothe my nervousness brain. The website is datayze.com/miscarriage-reassurer & the stats change every day so it helps when you're waiting to get to the next mile stone week, so each day feels like a little victory when pippin stays put ❤️ wishing you luck and love for this exciting journey
Kirst0123 · 21/08/2021 09:03

So sorry to hear you have had loss, but also a huge Congratulations to you! My calculations I'll be due 20 April eek! I have literally just booked one for 8 weeks +4 No doubt these three weeks will be so slow! I have my first midwife appointment booked for 7weeks but it's over the phone and I thought it would be face to face and tests done 🤔? Every cramp I just get so worried as I'm having them daily is that normal? I think cause its my first time I'm just so nervous of having a loss. Thanks so much for your support!

imo25 · 21/08/2021 09:32

@Kirst0123 ooh exciting to have a scan booked in! Fingers and toes crossed for you when it comes around. I've got one at 7+3 but every day feels like it's going so slowly. I think diff midwife services work differently depending where you are. I had a phone consultation then I've not got my first app until Sept 20th which feels quite late to have tests. Maybe after your phone consult they will book the tests etc for you 🤞I feel the same re: cramping. Your uterus is stretching and growing so it's normal to have a bit of cramping in the first trimester. If it feels much worse or you're bleeding call your midwife. I just try to reassure myself that my little embryo knows what it needs to do and I just need to try be comfortable and calm. Not easy some days! And so much of this feels out of my control, but I've just got to ride the experience out and see how it goes 😊

LittleMG · 21/08/2021 11:13

I’ve got more than spotting how do I know if it’s implantation bleeding or my period, I’ve not got any pain and it’s relatively a light flow. I’m feeling dreadfully disappointed I really hope it’s not a chemical pregnancy but there’s not way I can really tell Sad

chloehunt · 21/08/2021 11:58

@LittleMG I'd go get checked out sweet

Hucie · 21/08/2021 12:57

Hey all, I’m very new here, currently 4w +4d. Still not sure on all the lingo either! I previously had a miscarriage at the Exact same time back in April so I’m a little bit nervous. Had a super clear positive test compared to the last time though and having some back ache and exhausted. A few mild pulls here and there in my tummy. But my predicted DD is currently 26th April 22 and I’m so excited.
Sending lots of love and positive thoughts to you all xx

LittleMG · 21/08/2021 13:15

@chloehunt thanks for replying means a lot x I wonder whether to ring 111 would be a bloody Saturday!

chloehunt · 21/08/2021 14:01

@LittleMG yeah it would be unless you have an out of hour number, for me it would be 111 they weren't that great with me though my last pregnancy x

LittleMG · 21/08/2021 19:55

8 hours later and still bleeding still not managed to speak to anyone. Sad

Nervyy · 21/08/2021 19:58

@LittleMG

8 hours later and still bleeding still not managed to speak to anyone. Sad
@LittleMG why don't you head to A&E? I know it sounds dramatic but if you are bleeding they have a responsibility to see you as this could be a risk to yours / your babies health and it's not like you haven't tried other avenues xx
LittleMG · 21/08/2021 20:08

@Nervyy I feel stupid because I’m only 2 days past my period so probably a chemical pregnancy I know it’s not been long at all and it’s silly but I’m so upset x

Nervyy · 21/08/2021 20:14
@Nervyy I feel stupid because I’m only 2 days past my period so probably a chemical pregnancy I know it’s not been long at all and it’s silly but I’m so upset x
@LittleMG I get where you're coming from and I'm so sorry you're going through this 😞 it possibly is too early for them to scan etc but I honestly don't know.
Have you taken another test and compared the lines? I have seen some previous posters who have done this over a few days to see if the lines get lighter or darker?

I'm honestly so sorry you're experiencing this, it's not stupid to be upset at all. Feel free to vent / chat on here anytime ❤️ x

FinnsMammy · 21/08/2021 20:24

@LittleMG sounds like a chemical this is what happened to me on my chemical could also be decidual bleeding so it’s hard to know . Can guy take a pregnancy test ?
