@Cheekymonkey3112 I'm the same so thirsty I have a drink and my mouth is dry straight away it's so strange, yeah my boobs are a little sore today but I'm wearing a bra so that's making them sore I think. I have epilepsy but Ive been seizure free for a good few years now and spoke to my epilepsy nurse this morning and the only thing I have to do on that side of things is I'll have an appointment with her in 5 months time to discuss the birth and breastfeeding etc but still felt good to go over it with her, and I also let my GP know this morning and they said a midwife will be in touch in a few days but still feels so surreal.

PlanABC · 27/07/2021 14:00

@arianasky I had childhood epilepsy (seizure free 10+ years) and my clinic recommended I go on the big dose of folic acid (5mg) just in case, which you need to get on prescription. Not sure if you have been told the same, but thought it might be helpful to share. It's very much just a precaution I think, but I was assured you can't overdose of folic acid haha. x

arianasky · 27/07/2021 14:30

@PlanABC thank you, yeah they did check but I was prescribed it at 15 years old incase I ever fell pregnant and am still on it on prescription to this day 15 years later haha! So I'm lucky with that I guess x

Carolinesturn · 27/07/2021 14:31

Hi @mummytoolive and @Cheekymonkey3112 thought I'd join this, I also was on ttc post pill pool party. A bit premature but hey ho
13dpo bfp
Still feeling cramping though, should I be worried?

coconutcurls · 27/07/2021 14:33

Hiya! Joining in here. I think the midwife will date me at 31st March but with my slightly longer cycles, I think it'll be the first week of April. My 12 weeks scan with DS put me a bit later than the MW.

I'm experiencing all the same symptoms as I had with DS so hoping it's a sign that the pregnancy is moving steadily onwards. I'm 4+6 at the moment.

I've ordered a Big Brother tshirt for my DS to wear so that I can tell my mum and my in-laws!

Lalala1985 · 27/07/2021 14:37

@Carolinesturn don't worry I was all over the pregnancy forums as soon as I got my BFP at 8DPO! Period would have been due today 11DPO - so far so good 😊

jmap81 · 27/07/2021 14:38

Hi all, my EDD is 30 March and I am doing this solo too @PlanABC so looking forward to being on the journey together. It was IUI, first time. Feels somewhat miraculous and of course lots of anxiety...

My private scan at the clinic is 12 Aug....after which point I to NHS care.

I have back ache which I don't know if it's normal but it could be go do with having been on my feet all weekend celebrating my 40th :) what a surreal week!

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Lalala1985 · 27/07/2021 14:38

And @Carolinesturn my GP said mild cramping is normal, and so does the internet :)

PlanABC · 27/07/2021 14:46

@jmap81 first time lucky, amazing! Congratulations and what a way to start your 40th year haha. Hope it all keeps going well

Cheekymonkey3112 · 27/07/2021 15:00

@Carolinesturn hey!!! I have cramping too at 17dpo (4w3d) . I've actually had a mild headache today too. I think I've tried to do too much tidying in the house and I'm exhausted now, not sleepy just got no energy to shower 🤦‍♀️

@jmap81 congrats!!

@coconutcurls I am the same, I ovulated late in my cycle (cd23) so according to my lmp I am 5w4d but going by ovulation I am 4w3d xx

Carolinesturn · 27/07/2021 15:30

Thanks @Lalala1985 and @Cheekymonkey3112, I keep checking for blood as I'm feeling it's too good to be true at the moment. I'll post a pic of my first BFP that I took this morning at 13dpo. I didn't test earlier as I didn't want the disappointment. I've been spotting very slight brown since 7dpo and cramping since then too. Spotting has all but stopped, cramping still there.
I feel so nervous it's not allowing me to be too happy just yet, maybe I'll feel better when I tell my DH this afternoon

Sydney199 · 27/07/2021 15:35

Hi ladies! Was hoping to see an April '22 thread!
I can't believe I am here and not stalking to TTC pages.
I am thrilled to be starting a family with my partner, it is all I've dreamt about. However, I am certainly still in shock and a bit of denial.. Must be my coping mechanism :) Happened very quickly (which I am blessed for).

Estimated due date is the same as you CheekyMonkey - 2nd.

I am desperate to tell my own mum, but think maybe I should let it sink in first. How soon will everyone be sharing the news?

I am so thirsty and all I fancy is salt!! :)

Cheekymonkey3112 · 27/07/2021 16:50

@carolinesturn yeah thats right, I'm sure on the other thread you mentioned your cramping at 7dpo, I had a feeling you'd get a bfp as I had the exact same!! That bfp is a belter 😍

@Sydney199 ahhh!😍 omg when I read that my.mouth watered at the word salty 😂😂😂😂🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ I've only told DH yet but I will tell my parents maybe on Friday when I see them. They will be there for me SO much if something happens (again!) But also I'm gonna book an early scan and DH wouldn't be able to come unless my parents watched DS 🤣 what about you? X

Carolinesturn · 27/07/2021 18:26

@Cheekymonkey3112 thanks, it's actually over time taken ink from the control so darker than the control which is quite odd but hopefully not a cause for alarm!
I think it's a good idea to tell family quickly, I work with my sister and I'm very close to my mum so I think I'll tell them straight away as if something does go wrong I'd tell them anyway

coconutcurls · 27/07/2021 18:43

@Sydney199 I'll be telling my mum and in-laws this week. Hopefully the tshirt for my little boy will arrive tomorrow so we can do it that way. If not, we'll have to tell them anyway. We're going away for the weekend with my mum and I won't be able to keep it quiet.

We're going to visit my dad's family this weekend (first time for my little boy!). My dad passes away in March so we all need some good news! I'll also have to tell them or they'll be very suspicious of me not getting on the prosecco!

mummytoolive · 27/07/2021 18:43

😍 welcome to all the new BFPs and congratulations.

Ah lovely @Carolinesturn so glad you're joining us.

Im having cramps today, sore boobs and massive thirst.

Littlebutload · 27/07/2021 19:12

Hi all, I'm 11 DPO and just did the test and it's very faintly positive. My husband is not convinced, but I know it's positive, I will do one of the ones with words on it tomorrow to convince him!

I'm an absolutey wrecked but I don't know if that's pregnancy or my body battling a cold my 3 year old has given me! I also feel ever so slightly nauseaus, which I hope is not a sign of things to come as I had terrible hyperemisis in my last pregnancy Sad

mummytoolive · 27/07/2021 19:31

@Littlebutload ooo let us know how the digital goes! I was the same in my first pregnancy so fingers crossed for us both. I lost 2 stone in my first pregnancy 🙈

BaaBaaEmily · 27/07/2021 19:45

Can I join please? Got my bfp at 8dpo, due 4th April. Had a mmc earlier this year so bit more anxious than I have been in previous pregnancies but hoping this will be a baby we take home!

mummytoolive · 27/07/2021 20:37

@BaaBaaEmily welcome ❤️ how many dpo are you know xx

OP posts:
Cheekymonkey3112 · 27/07/2021 21:36

@carolinesturn my FRER did that too. Yep I think you are so right. Don't know what I'd have done without the support of my mum and dad when I had MCs. They are sooo excited at even the thought of another grandchild (they have no idea we were even thinking about it, I had a horrific time pre conceiving DS, a traumatic birth with NICU stays and ptsd and pnd after it so always said I didn't know). So just don't want them to be upset if something happens 😭

Welcome girls @Littlebutload and @baabaaemily 💕

Tushka9 · 27/07/2021 22:53

Hi everyone! I'd like to join as well. I'm 16 DPO. Had 2 miscarriages in the past so very anxious 🙏🤞

mummytoolive · 28/07/2021 07:47

Welcome welcome @Tushka9 🎉

So my constipation has started today, and my coccyx was damaged in my first labour but with exercise has been fine. Until the last couple of days hope it's not something I suffer with all through this pregnancy

OP posts:
PlanABC · 28/07/2021 07:51

Congratulations @Tushka9 really hope it all goes well this time! 🤞🥰

Re telling people: I am not only single, my family is also in The Netherlands.. which isn't actually that far away, but covid has meant I haven't been able to see them in person for almost two years now. Videocalling is fine, but nothing beats a hug from your mum 😔. I will be videocalling her during my scan though haha.

I'm lucky to have a handful of close local friends and my ex-boyfriend and I are still friends so his family kind of adopted me haha. I have told my own parents and the friends who knew I was going through the process already. Will tell the former in-laws when they come for dinner in a couple of weeks. I contemplated not saying anything until the 8 week scan, but you're so right: I need someone to hug if something goes wrong.

arianasky · 28/07/2021 07:56

I told my parents and my in-laws yesterday, I won't tell anyone else until 12 week scan but both sets of parents are so supportive and that's what I would need if anything was to go wrong. They were both over the moon and there was a lot of tears and I still can't believe I'm pregnant haha!
