Hey,
Anyone else out there due April 2022.
I got my BFP at 10DPO yesterday. I already have a 6 month old daughter and it's my 4th pregnancy 🌈❤️

@chitter87

Is anyone else really dizzy? 🤔

I didn't have this with my daughter, and that combined with the cramping feeling is sending my anxiety into overdrive!

I was really dizzy last week but now it's rare. I also had cramping last week but it seems to be gone now. Hoping that's all normal but it's a bit nerve wracking.

Morning everyone :)
I had to sleep in a sports bra last night and i feel sooooo much better for it! I’ve got really tender breasts atm I just can’t let them hang free at night any more!

I literally have zero energy right now and just want to nap all the time 😴 anyone else in the same boat?

I have my first midwife appointment on 14th September so excited and nervous…

ANA95 · 16/08/2021 11:06

Please can anyone help!
So I just told my GP I'd had a positive test and asked what the next steps are (as I have no idea 🤣).
He said to make an appt with a Midwife for 8wks (where day 1 is the first day of my last period)... So by that calculation I'm 6wks pregnant. But due to irregular/long cycles, I know I am. Only 13dpo so nearly 4wks 🤦🏻‍♀️

Is it better to call the midwife team and explain that and let them decide when to make an appointment?

(who knew this could be so confusing 🤦🏻‍♀️😂)

chitter87 · 16/08/2021 11:15

@Paintingfences and @Rosiej95 Ah, I'm so glad you've both felt the same, perhaps it's just another one of those delightful early pregnancy symptoms 🤣🤪

How far along are you ladies? I'm only just 4 weeks so a long way to go yet.

Call the midwife team and book in anyway, in my experience they are a bit rigid about going by your last period and to be honest I'd rather be in the system sooner than later. Some services get really backed up and then it's a scramble to even get your 12 week scan on time.

At your booking-in appointment your midwife will probably be able to make a pragmatic call anyway, but I wouldn't delay getting in touch.

ladycarlotta · 16/08/2021 11:48

Erm, and hello everyone! Can I join you please? I'm 5+1 with my sixth pregnancy, unfortunately due to recurrent early miscarriage I only have one child. I'm taking progesterone and have been under the recurrent miscarriage clinic so fingers tightly crossed that this is a sticky bean.

rosiej95 · 16/08/2021 12:10

@chitter87 it's my first pregnancy so don't know what to expect but I'm hoping so haha I'm 6 weeks today. 😄

ANA95 · 16/08/2021 12:12

Thank you so much for your help! Just spoke to my Husband about it and he said the same, best just to get in and take it from there!
Hope you're doing okay!

Clonskeemom · 16/08/2021 17:16

@ANA95 I'd defo book in as early as they suggest you can. When counting weeks from period date I think they are looking at how old the baby is, including the time as an unfertilised egg? I dunno it makes less sense for a longer cycle for sure but they will look at that in your dating scan. As @ladycarlotta said no benefit to waiting longer really.

@chitter87 I've no dizziness though I did on my first. Think it's increased blood volume that causes it. I have horrific headaches and not sure if it's just pregnancy or caffeine withdrawal as I've seriously cut down on the coffee Blush

ANA95 · 16/08/2021 17:23

@Clonskeemom Thank you! I gave them a call this afternoon and they booked my booking appt in for Sept 2nd and a height/weight appt on the 6th Sept!
Feels like such a long wait 😩 I'm trying to not over analyse everything I'm feeling physically!

chitter87 · 16/08/2021 17:49

Ah, I'm out as quick as I was in. Must have been another chemical. Thanks for the brief chat ladies, best wishes and lots of love for you and your little bundles. Take care 🙂

FinnsMammy · 16/08/2021 17:57

Anyone got any tips for the Nausea? It’s awful today and yesterday pretty much all day! I used to suck sweets with my son which worked to some degree but this feels more intense then before. 🙈 🙈

@chitter87 so sorry to read this, I hope you are as well as you can be and that you get your sticky little baby soon ❤️🤞🏻 x
rosiej95 · 16/08/2021 18:54

@chitter87 ahh so sorry to hear this ❤️

@FinnsMammy I've been suffering the past few days on and off as well, I've not found anything that helps yet.

I've booked my midwife appointment today I'll be 9+2. something else to look forward to 🥰

I can't seem to get enough of gravy & mash tho atm! I honestly think I would have made it for my breakfast this morning if it wasn't weird!
Is it too early for cravings? 😂😂

LittleMG · 16/08/2021 18:58

Me too! Hey everyone, I’m 16dpo and feeling fragile! This is my second I’ve got DS2. Hope everyone is feeling well xx

YorkshirePhoenix15 · 16/08/2021 19:30

I was really dizzy this morning and nearly fainted in the shower. I had to get out and sit on the bathroom floor because I could hear the whooshing in my ears like when you’re going to faint. I don’t know if the water was too wash although I purposely turned it down from my usual hot water I love but I felt awful. Felt ok for the rest of the day apart from cramping and feeling shattered

Littlebutload · 16/08/2021 19:36

I'm 6+3 and I've been dizzy aswell lately. I went to the dentist last week and when I lay back on the chair the room started to spin, I had to abondon my clean and polish! I have an early 8 week scan on Friday next week, can't wait!

chloehunt · 17/08/2021 09:48

Guys, I’m about to ask what may seem like a really stupid question but I just want reassurance lol.
I twisted to look behind me yesterday to see the car behind I did twist quite far back, I’m just panicking incase I’ve caused something by doing this, I wouldn’t of would I?

Carolinesyear · 17/08/2021 11:39

Hi everyone,
I'm 6+4 today, I had a bit of v light spotting after sex this morning, I decided to do a test as although it silly it reassures me, both tests came back really light to how they have been, clutching at straws I tried diluting with water and they got gradually lighter... urban Mumsnet myth or has anyone else experienced this? I'll enclose a photo of these tests, top two undiluted and gradually more diluted until possible 10/1 ratio. Also attach a photo of my spotting this morning for reassurance which I do desperately need just now (yes I am stopping the testing now I promise )

That should say gradually darker! More to the point they were 5 days or so ago

Carolinesyear · 17/08/2021 11:42

Incase anyone wants to Google this is called the hook effect... but am I just trying to convince myself everything is still ok?

chloehunt · 17/08/2021 12:11

@Carolinesyear that's a dye stealer not the hook affect the hook affect is where they become negative due to too much hcg, also there's no point in testing either as many people have taken tests and gotten good positives and found out the bad actually stopped growing or they're having a missed miscarriage, a dye stealer is a good thing it means the hcg is high enough to take the dye off of the control line
