Hey! I think I'm a day behind you, currently 10dpo, got my BFP at 8DPO. This is my very first pregnancy, and feel completely lost!

mummytoolive · 26/07/2021 19:55

Awh lovely @Lalala1985 congratulations and welcome.
I felt the exact same in my first pregnancy. Have you had any early symptoms so far? X

Hey gals!! I'm 16dpo, got my bfp at 9dpo and EDD 2nd of April.

I have one DS (4) and before him I had 1 MMC and 2 MC.

I don't have many early symptoms, boobs were ever so slightly tender and I've been slightly thirsty but apart from that, that's it 🤷‍♀️🤞 keeping my fingers crossed that it's a sticky bean❤

PlanABC · 26/07/2021 20:22

Hello!
I am new to pregnancy and to mumsnet! But if I understand the lingo correctly I am 16DPO and had my pregnancy blood test today (though I also did a cheeky home test on Saturday haha).

Single lady on IUI and finally got a hit on my 4th attempt. 2nd attempt was a chemical pregnancy, but this time my bloods were looking good.

Currently having no symptoms at all and it all feels a bit surreal to be honest..

Hope it goes well for everyone!! X

Cheekymonkey3112 · 26/07/2021 20:25

@PlanABC

Hi!! How was your blood test? Did they tell you your result? I'm contemplating ordering some blood tests privately. Pregnancy after loss is so hard! I'm.16dpo too . I don't have any symptoms either 🤷‍♀️ xx

PlanABC · 26/07/2021 20:29

@Cheekymonkey3112 they told me it was 500 and I think that's pretty normal levels for 4 weeks. My IUI is private so the blood tests were part of it. If my 8 week scan (also included) is positive I'll get discharged back to NHS.

It's quite anxiety provoking, isn't it??

Cheekymonkey3112 · 26/07/2021 20:33

@PlanABC oh that sound fab! Yeh definitely. Have they booked you in for your scan? I'm definitely going to book a private scan for around 7 weeks.

Yeah, definitely. I find myself googling everything! How dark my tests are, why I have no symptoms, things I can do to prevent miscarriage (which I know is nothing), how to spot a miscarriage before it happens, super foods, bloods, scans, hcg to see heartbeat, clearblue weeks indicator 3+ .. thats an insight into my Google search🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

PlanABC · 26/07/2021 20:42

@Cheekymonkey3112 i am trying to refrain from consultant Dr Google, but here I am anyway hahaha. My scan is august 24th, which still feels ages away! X

mummytoolive · 26/07/2021 20:52

Welcome @Cheekymonkey3112 happy to see some people coming through from the July TTC bus ❤️

Congratulations 🎉

@PlanABC massive congrats and sounds like your bloods were all good too.

I just have heavy achey boobs on and off but that's it, working out due date from my ovulation date and length of cycles is coming up as my birthday ❤️ how lovely would that be. Strangely I was actually born on my mothers birthday 🎉

PlanABC · 26/07/2021 21:12

@mummytoolive aw that is adorable and sounds like that was meant to be (due on you and your mum's birthday). Congratulations to you too! 🥰

Cheekymonkey3112 · 26/07/2021 21:19

@PlanABC gosh I know but it's all I'm thinking about, especially since I found out at 9dpo . I've known for a week so feel like I should at least be 6 weeks right now 🤣🤣

@mummytoolive hey!! I was scared to make the move to the preg section but when I seen this thread I had to comment. I didn't want to fill up the ttc thread with my moans about the days dragging in when I should be lucky and grateful to have a bfp. It's such a mindfuck though!! But omg that is definitely meant to be!! When is your EDD I'm the 2nd (based on ovulation) xx

arianasky · 26/07/2021 21:24

Hello ladies, I'm 11DPO today first BFP yesterday but have checked on 5 tests since haha! EDD 7th April 🤞🏻 Will be my first baby, im a bit overwhelmed with everything as I feel I know nothing a little nervous and excited, congratulations to you all 🎉

PlanABC · 26/07/2021 21:28

@Cheekymonkey3112 haha i totally get it! I'm going to try to distract myself with work for the moment, though I have a week off w/c 9th 😅.. I just hope going to the toilet will become less anxiety provoking soon!!

Lalala1985 · 26/07/2021 21:29

@mummytoolive thanks! A few, really painful boobs which is what made me take a test at 8DPO, cramping, and very mild nausea- which from what I read seems to be a bit early for that but hey ho.

How about you?

I called the gp this morning, and he was completely complacent... like you're too early, call back in a couple of weeks to book to see a midwife, take iron tablets, you don't need to change anything else unless you have a drink or drug problem.
Now I'm realising that with a high bmi I probably need a prescription for higher dose folic acid. I think I'm going to have to be consultant led because of some pituary issues I have ( my endocrinologist said if I'm pregnant I'll need to be more closely monitored) - though I need to call him to find out what I need to do about medication that I'm on.

mummytoolive · 26/07/2021 21:35

@Cheekymonkey3112 that's exactly why I started it because I felt like I'd lost that space to vent but still needed it 😊

It's coming up 6th April ❤️

@Lalala1985 same with the boobs!!

@arianasky congratulations 🎉❤️

Cheekymonkey3112 · 26/07/2021 21:47

@arianasky congrats!!

@planabc omg, I know every time I go I'm checking the toilet paper.

@mummytoolive yep definitely. It is needed. I haven't told anyone except my DH so need people to chat to about it to.

@lalala85 ugh! Shit GPs are the WORST. Its as if they don't care! Hopefully your endocrinologist helps you out. My boobs are ever so slightly tender but only at night when I take my bra off 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

arianasky · 27/07/2021 05:53

Thank you @mummytoolive and @Cheekymonkey3112 congratulations to you aswell 🎉 I've honestly never been to the toilet as much in my life 😂 anyone else like this yet? Apart from the constant weeing, cramping is my only other symptom, anyone else feeling any symptoms yet?

mummytoolive · 27/07/2021 07:49

I'm still testing over here 🙋🏽‍♀️🤣
Good strong line now 12DPO so going to wait and do a digital on Friday so I can see it in actual words 😅

Got a very faint BFP yesterday and a very strong BFP today on fmu! Exactly 5 weeks today from LMP. Not sure when I ovulated. First baby. It's not quite sunk in yet and feeling very cautiously excited!

mummytoolive · 27/07/2021 08:07

Welcome @broodyas and tentative congratulations to you 🎉❤️

OP posts:
PlanABC · 27/07/2021 08:09

Crossing my fingers for everyone! I've told a few people as my close family and friends knew I was going through the procedure again and they were all way more excited than I am.. I'm still feeling very cautious about it all haha.

The lack of pregnancy symptoms is definitely freaking me out a bit, bit it's super early days so I know it doesn't mean anything.. but still lol.

mummytoolive · 27/07/2021 08:15

@PlanABC try not to worry about the lack of symptoms my mum was 16 weeks with me and only knew she was pregnant by gaining weight. Every woman is so different x

OP posts:
PlanABC · 27/07/2021 08:20

@mummytoolive i know, it's hard to know isn't it. Thanks for the reassurance though

broodyas · 27/07/2021 08:41

Thank you @mummytoolive !

@PlanABC it's really hard isn't it! My symptoms have been fluctuating and if I feel less nauseous at one point I get worried that it means something! I think either way it's easy to worry whether you have symptoms or not.

Cheekymonkey3112 · 27/07/2021 09:45

@arianasky I was so thirsty last week so was drinking loads and then peeing loads but think it was due to the heat as it hasn't been that bad this week. My boobs are very so slightly sore after being in a bra all day but aren't sore this morning after not wearing a bra through the night. I do have some mild cramping intermittently.

@mummytoolive haha I am the exact same. I am 17dpo today (4w3d). I took a digital weeks indicator one today and said 2-3 wks so might (definitely will) buy some more so I can test next week for a hopeful 3+ .. I only ever got a 3+ with my 1 successful pregnancy.

@broodyas congratulations and welcome ❤
