Hey,
Anyone else out there due April 2022.
I got my BFP at 10DPO yesterday. I already have a 6 month old daughter and it's my 4th pregnancy 🌈❤️

Hi @Tushka9 I'm sorry to hear about your losses, I hope you can still enjoy these early days without worrying too much, do you have any children?
14dpo still slight brown discharge and slight cramping but definitely getting less. Also felt a bit nauseous. Started vitamins yesterday, what vits is everyone taking?

coconutcurls · 28/07/2021 09:57

@Carolinesturn I'm just taking the Pregnacare originals. They got me through last time ok.

I was really hoping my little boy's 'big brother' tshirt would arrive today so that I could use it to tell my mum but there's no sign of the postman yet. I don't think I can wait beyond today to tell her though!

mummytoolive · 28/07/2021 13:21

I've told my husband and my mum and a couple of very close friends who have been here for me through my journey. Anyone close to us is well aware we were advised to have our children as close as we could get them so I don't think it'll come as a shock to anyone.
We had a photo shoot of out baby girl yesterday so took some of her with a sign saying promoted to big sister which we will use to tell people when they come.
Will probably tell the MIL next week when me and my husband both see her at the same time.
I don't like the whole culture of not telling people before 12 weeks because as I've found in the past the people who you tell are the same people who would support you through something happening anyway. I made the mistake of not telling anyone I was pregnant shortly after I got married and miscarried on my honeymoon and I found it so hard without the support of my loved ones it was very lovely.

Still no sign of the T-shirt @coconutcurls?
Quite right @mummytoolive you definitely should tell this closest to you. I'm sorry that you lost a baby and especially during your honeymoon, I bet that was really difficult as it's a time for so much hope!
I havnt told anyone but my DH yet, I feel something may not be right as still slightly spotting at 14dpo, I'll enclose a pic. See what you guys think? There is mostly nothing but sometimes this...

You might have to open it as I cropped out my dimpled legs as that really would have been TMI

Carmelsquares · 28/07/2021 16:01

Hey ladies!
Hope it’s ok to join..got my BFF at 10dpo. Feel like I’ve been run over by a truck..so tired 😴

coconutcurls · 28/07/2021 16:22

@Carolinesturn the tshirt arrived and I've told my mum! Such a relief to get it off my chest. I have felt horrendous for the last two days.

I think spotting at this stage is still very normal!

Carolinesturn · 28/07/2021 16:23

@coconutcurls omg amazing! What did they say, were there tears?

Carolinesturn · 28/07/2021 16:25

@coconutcurls thanks for that, I'm a worrier, I hope I don't ruin this thread with my pessimism
Welcome @Carmelsquares is this your first pregnancy?

Carmelsquares · 28/07/2021 16:38

@Carolinesturn nope number 5! The last one was 15 years ago to this month. I had forgotten the exhaustion😬

coconutcurls · 28/07/2021 16:54

@Carolinesturn my mum and brother were very excited. My mum welled up a bit but is generally busy very happy!

@Carmelsquares the exhaustion is starting to hit me too. Not sure how I'll get through it this time with a toddler in tow!

PlanABC · 28/07/2021 17:03

I said it aloud to someone for the first time today (previously had been messages).. made it feel a bit more real though still v anxious haha.

mummytoolive · 28/07/2021 18:50

@coconutcurls I love the T-shirt idea! So cute it's just the best feeling seeing how happy your loved ones are for you ❤️

@Carolinesturn that all looks and sounds like something normal for early pregnancy 😘

@Carmelsquares congratulations how many dpo are you now, I've felt like that in the afternoons and getting out of bed has been much harder haha

@PlanABC ah I love that. I just told my sister face to face and it was so lovely ☺️

@mummytoolive thank u! just 13dpo I only took the test coz of the random nausea

@Carolinesturn I am nearly worried this hasn’t happened for me yet, my last 2 pregnancies had this spotting..and they are all healthy and happy (ish) for teenagers

Laura3876 · 28/07/2021 19:52

I got my positive test result at the weekend after a year of trying! 4 weeks 5 days today and feeling nauseous which gets worse at night, sore boobs and just exhausted but so excited 🤞🏼

Carolinesturn · 28/07/2021 20:06

Thank you @mummytoolive
And that's very reassuring @Carmelsquares haha and quite funny, I'm not looking past the pregnancy to think of moody teenagers!
@PlanABC could you tell me a bit more about your journey
Is it something you've wanted to do for a while and is it with a donor or with someone you know? I really hope this time it works for you!
Anyone having any more symptoms? I don't really have sore boobs but I think they might feel a little different. I've gone to bed to let my DH deal with our 16 dogs, I suppose this pregnancy malarkey has its uses!

PlanABC · 28/07/2021 20:17

@Carolinesturn it's something I always considered doing and my only long-term relationship didn't work out so I started thinking about it a bit more seriously. I waited a couple of years to start due to work things / money, but have now used a donor yes. Used the European Sperm Bank in Denmark and my local private clinic. Found a donor with a similar ethnic mix to me too haha.

I felt a bit queasy this morning but that might have been nothing lol. My boobs might feel a bit different or I might just be paying them way too much attention. I keep finding myself crying at people winning olympic medals though..

Tushka9 · 28/07/2021 20:22

Good evening ladies! I wanted to ask if anyone has something similar to me. I started feeling today some stabbing pain in my right ovary. It lasts seconds and quite frequent every hour or so. Not sure if I should call my GP about it ...

PlanABC · 28/07/2021 20:34

@Tushka9 I'm not sure sorry, but if you're worried I would just phone the GP. Hope all is and stays okay x

Carolinesturn · 28/07/2021 20:45

What dpo are you @Tushka9 ?
Before I got my BFP I had pains on the left side and right alternating for a few days, I'm still getting them a bit, I wouldn't say stabbing though. I've also had pelvis pain and vaginal pain and I'd describe the pelvic pain as dull and the vagina pain sharp.
@PlanABC that's great that you took charge and did it, are you wanting a girl or a boy? I kind of want a boy as my DH has two girls from a previous marriage and I think he'd quite like a boy but I think if I were being selfish I'd want a girl

PlanABC · 28/07/2021 20:55

@Carolinesturn I'm not fussy, but I have always had a girl's name in my head if I were to have a daughter haha

Bancha · 28/07/2021 21:18

Can I join? Got a positive test this morning. We’ve been unbelievably lucky TTC so feeling very grateful (as well as nauseous and exhausted). Baby is due around 15th of April I think, but my cycles are a bit all over the place so going to wait for my dating scan. We already have a DD, she’s 18m. Like PP have said I will tell a couple of close friends and family but otherwise going to wait til 12 weeks so it will be really nice to have somewhere to chat about this stuff with!

Congratulations to you all!

Carmelsquares · 28/07/2021 21:49

@Bancha Congratulations!! X I’ve told 1 close friend and obvs hubby who is probably bored listening to me so yea it’s nice to have a place to chat😊

Summervibes040 · 28/07/2021 21:57

Hey everyone, totally new to this. My first pregnancy and I'm 5+6. So anxious and nervous and analysing everything that's going on in my body as well as worrying about catching the virus. It's nice to have people to chat to who are going through similar experiences. Xx
