Hey,
Anyone else out there due April 2022.
I got my BFP at 10DPO yesterday. I already have a 6 month old daughter and it's my 4th pregnancy 🌈❤️

Thanks @Carolinesturn it's been a rough year but this is giving me some hope!

mummytoolive · 29/07/2021 13:29

Welcome @summertimes2021 and congratulations 🎉

@Cheekymonkey3112 sorry to hear that, your hcg levels are good 🤞🏽 everything is ok when you see them next

@Cw191 I'm totally with you ❤️

@GoingGently hope everything goes well for you this time xx

So this is my tests up to date disregarding the rogue digital I did this morning... hubby thinks the last one shows good progression but I was hopping it would be a lot darker by now

@mummytoolive but there is progression there, you are going forwards not back! Still so early, I didn't take my first test till 13dpo

Summervibes040 · 29/07/2021 13:48

@Carolinesturn I replied above .im still trying to work out how to use this lol xx

Summervibes040 · 29/07/2021 13:51

@Lalala1985 what is the hook effect lol xx

Bancha · 29/07/2021 14:00

@Cheekymonkey3112 so sorry to hear that. Must be weighing heavy on your mind. Really hoping for good news for you soon.

Lalala1985 · 29/07/2021 14:00

@Summervibes040 it's when there is too much hcg for example and it basically overwhelms the test and the test appears lighter. If you dilute the urine it appears darker again.
You can get the hook effect from about 5/6 weeks on sensitive tests. This is a good summary: medium.com/family-matters-2/what-is-the-hook-effect-4334e0fa88a4

Personally I'm stopping testing at 15 DPO, then just going to get the 2-3 and 3+ on a digital then I'm done, otherwise I might just be stressing myself unnecessarily.

Lalala1985 · 29/07/2021 14:08

@mummytoolive I can see a progression but as you say they are quite light. It could be that your urine is very dilute. If you're worried, maybe a GP might be willing to do a blood test?

mummytoolive · 29/07/2021 14:08

@Lalala1985 I'm going to agree a day with husband tonight to test once more and then that's it for me 😅

@Summervibes040 I don't think I'll phone my GP yet, I was thinking Monday if I'm still testing positive, my pains are also similar to period cramps but less severe. We can just wait it out together.

J0lly · 29/07/2021 14:18

Hi all, I got my bfp yesterday at 18dpo and my period was 4 days late. This is our first baby and I'm a bag of nerves. Hopefully all goes smoothly. So far i have sore boobs and light cramping on and off. Tiny bit of nausea.

Congratulations to you all 🥰 x

GoingGently · 29/07/2021 14:31

I am waiting until Monday to contact the GP too. AF not due til Saturday so anything sooner feels like tempting fate to me!

GoingGently · 29/07/2021 14:31

Does anyone else here have thyroid issues?

mummytoolive · 29/07/2021 14:32

This is the last two tests within the timeframe when they were both wet @Lalala1985
I feel that progression looks better. Do you think a GP would do bloods so early?

Wow there's been lots of chat on here today! Welcome to all the newbies!

We told the in-laws today. Lots and lots of happiness at the moment. I still can't help but doubt absolutely everything! I just can't believe it still

summertimes2021 · 29/07/2021 15:00

How exciting! I called the midwife unit to self refer earlier. Should have an appointment I. 20th august to book in.

I keep worrying the tests are not real or are a false positive

summertimes2021 · 29/07/2021 16:24

I did another frer and now I'm worried as it's lighter 😭 I know it should be lighter as I have drank loads please talk some sense into me

mummytoolive · 29/07/2021 16:41

@summertimes2021 yes definitely diluted! Disregard it, put it in the bin!!

We're terrible aren't we 🙈 I'm sure it'll be much darker if you do one in the morning xx

@Lalala1985 awww thanks so much for that info xx

Carolinesturn · 29/07/2021 18:03

@summertimes2021 don't torture yourself, step away from the tests, apparently they vary a lot.
I am now going to wait until the weekend and take a digital one that says the weeks and hopefully get a 3+ although I'm very skeptical, spotting seems to be getting heavier not lighter (since DTD last night) always brown/pink though so that's what I'm clinging onto just now. Also cramping has improved

summertimes2021 · 29/07/2021 18:16

I just worry so much. Oh no hopefully the spotting will ease off. With my first I spotted a bit

PlanABC · 29/07/2021 19:36

Hi everyone, I have been lurking today and lots of worries seem to be going around. Of course I am the same, but I do hope everyone's worries will be unwarranted.

Thinking of you all 💕

Summervibes040 · 29/07/2021 20:37

What are everyone's views on vaccine/ no vaccine. I havent got the vaccine and didn't plan to until very recently as I'm starting to change my view a bit and now I don't know what to do to do the right thing. Just wondering what everyone else's views are. I know this is a very sensitive subject so pressure to answer. I'm so confused about it. Xx

Carmelsquares · 29/07/2021 20:42

@PlanABC me too fellow lurker.
Also thinking of you all xx
Anyone feel really nauseous yet?

mummytoolive · 29/07/2021 20:43

@Summervibes040 I've had my first one but not sure how I feel about my second, due 10th august, now I'm pregnant.
I've read a few threads on here that people have been fine in pregnancy so plan to discuss it when i do speak to my Gp
