@LouLou0505 oh don't same here I have a feeling I am going to have to buy bigger clothes myself. My hubby thinks baby is going to be anywhere between 7lb9oz to 8lb5oz.. I don't know.
Yes I have discussing my birthing plans with midwife on 12/11. I don't ever remember it being this long away tho. By then I'll be 33+6d by then.

LouLou0505 · 06/11/2021 13:40

@jadey1991 - we can always send the other half out to get bigger clothes if we have chunky boys!!

I’ve just looked at my paperwork and it says to discuss birth plan at 36 weeks. No chance I’m waiting that long. I’ll just have to grow some balls and ask at my app next week

jadey1991 · 06/11/2021 13:50

@LouLou0505 oh wow that is a long time. Coz you could give birth any time from then. Is this your first baby?

LouLou0505 · 06/11/2021 13:53

@jadey1991 That’s what I thought even though I know it’s unlikely you just never know! yeah he’s my first.

jadey1991 · 06/11/2021 15:32

@LouLou0505 I'm surprised they are not doing a birth plan with you sooner then. I was told it's because this isn't my first. I have 2 other children.
Maybe it's due to Covid.

LouLou0505 · 06/11/2021 16:11

@jadey1991 - god knows! As I say my midwife is rubbish so nothing really surprises me but I’ll mention it this week because I think they’ll want me to see further people to discuss 🤷🏻‍♀️

2020mission · 06/11/2021 16:55

@jadey1991 The fluid measurement was 9cm and the normal range is 2-8cm. They said he's weighing about 4lbs at 32+1. I'm only small (around 5'2) so maybe that's why the small tape measurement the day before wasn't right. From what I've been reading it can either be an unknown cause and baby will be fine or it could be something like fetal abnormalities, genetic condition, problems with their gut taking in fluid 🙁 I'm getting the diabetes glucose tolerance test soon to rule that out as it sometimes that causes it. I'd have had no idea about this if I didn't have that scan booked yesterday after measuring a bit small! Everything going ok for you?

JW2021 · 06/11/2021 17:38

Hello ladies hope everyone is doing well had my growth scan on Thursday baby is in the 72nd percentile & weighs approximately 4 lbs. 5 oz. then they went on to tell me ‘give or take a pound or two!’ 🤷🏼how can that be so inaccurate? We didn’t celebrate guy Fawkes here in the US although I did watch coronation Street on BritBox so I got my fix that way! Baby seems to be doing good can’t believe we only have another seven weeks of this thread. Thanks to Jade who started it all thank you! Hope we are all able to all stay in touch that would be great to share sleep feeding and growth stories 👍🏻

Theawkwardblonde · 06/11/2021 18:40

Had my scan due to the midwife measuring my belly small. No issues at all, baby is measuring on the 50th percentile, but legs are on the 92nd 😂. Both my partner and I are tall so that was to be expected.
Booked in to see consultant 4 weeks before DD as my bmi has gone up a bit. I haven't put on loads of weight but they want to get me checked as midwife still reckons I'm measuring small 🤦🏼‍♀️ baby estimated to be a healthy 4 pounds 6 so I don't really see the fuss is about.

burtle4 · 06/11/2021 23:05

@LouLou0505 I'm with you on the big boy front - I was told mine was weighing around 4lbs 15oz at 31 weeks!! I'm now 34 weeks and have a scan on Monday to look at placenta and growth so it will be interesting to see how much he has grown in 3 weeks, I feel like I'm going to give birth to a giant 😬 x

LouLou0505 · 07/11/2021 07:57

@burtle4 - love that! He’s obviously enjoying being in there and loving what you’ve been eating too! 😂 let me know how you get on!

On the scan they said he has nice long legs so he’s defo taking after me not his dad 🙏🏼

I take everything with a pinch of salt because my SIL had a scan the day before she gave birth and was told he’d be 5lbs and yet came out 6lbs 10!

burtle4 · 07/11/2021 09:06

Yes, I'm not sure how reliable these measurements are but everything with this baby is on the 97th percentile as well so have a feeling he's definitely growing very nicely in there 😂

lovebeingmum9 · 07/11/2021 10:25

morning ladies good to hear everyone's doing well....funny how different everyone's measurements are! Our baby is around 50th percentile but abdominal is 78th 😅 short and stocky like our other 3 sons we reckon!
@jadey1991 Will soon need a 3rd thread by the looks of it as almost reached the 1000 comments mark again!
Can anyone else feel their baby practice breathing through your belly? I keep feeling him pulsate and then has the odd hiccups! back ache, crap sleep and heavy feelings below are my symptoms this week....infact to of my belly is all soft as he must be dropping down.....How's everyone else feeling 😊

Curlymam88 · 07/11/2021 11:26

How is everyone doing? I've been so uncomfortable this week, and very up and down emotionally. I've also been getting some sharp pains down below, dont know if thats got anything to do with babys position and getting bigger. Last night I could feel her feet right up under my boobs in my ribs. Im.only 5foot so running out of room!!
I have another growth scan on Friday then my obstetrician appointment on the Tuesday when I'll be 34+2 then almost 35weeks, kind of hoping in a way that they'll give me a date for my section, feel like I'm struggling now.

jadey1991 · 07/11/2021 11:43

@Theawkwardblonde aww that's good news hun. Glad all is well hun. I think 4lb6oz is a good weight. My baby is weighing 4lbs8oz so I don't see what the problem is.

jadey1991 · 07/11/2021 11:50

@lovebeingmum9 yes hun I will defo b making a new one lool.. I am feeling everything you have described to. Feels soooo wierd..I feel him hicupping a lot to. Defo feeling aches in back and a lot of pressure down below. I reckon he has dropped but I really don't know as this is my first son and this pregnancy is definitely different to my 2 daughters..
Anyways ladies let me sort out this new thread x

Velvetscrunchy · 07/11/2021 11:53

My midwife told me 36 weeks too, and my consultant said I’d have a clinical assessment to see if a c section is warranted at 38 weeks!!! All seems a bit late!

jadey1991 · 07/11/2021 11:55

@Curlymam88 hun I am feeling the pain to. The past 2 weeks I have been feeling what your feeling. A couple times I thought here we go feels like baby is coming soon. I defo don't think he is coming in dd. I reckon end of this month early dec x

jadey1991 · 07/11/2021 11:56

@Velvetscrunchy yes I know sounds way to far. I actually think it has something to do with Covid

xTinkerbell · 08/11/2021 18:58

Hey everyone!

I’ve been a bit awol recently. Currently struggling with a sickness bug so pretty miserable and finding it difficult to keep hydrated and eat enough.

33 weeks now and anxiously awaiting c section date

lovebeingmum9 · 08/11/2021 21:49

Hi @xTinkerbell aw sorry to hear you've got a sick bug bet that's horrible at this stage! Hope you get well soon 💐
I'm 34wks and eager to hear that i will have my induction on due date (not confirmed yet)....it will be nice for us all to be able to talk through and confirm birth plans! 😊

JW2021 · 22/11/2021 02:30

Well…… congrats ladies to all of you who are 35 weeks today! I went for a private 3 D scan to celebrate - quite amazing !!!
No I have to ask as you know I live in the US apart from an epidural class next week & having already meet & confirmed my pediatrician - my OB hasn’t mentioned to me about a birth plan? 🤷🏼 What am I missing?

JW2021 · 22/11/2021 02:38

Technology today is a mid blowing thing!

burtle4 · 22/11/2021 07:18

Wow @JW2021, that 3D pic is amazing! So much detail, I have a growth scan today but you can never work out what anything is now that baby is so big on the normal machines! Will be interesting to find out how much he has grown though, 36+2 today! I also have my 36 week midwife appointment today where she has said we will discuss birth plan, but I don't know if this will be the same for you in the states?
Just a heads up that there is a newer thread than this that has been set up as this one was coming to an end. Will see if I can tag you in it x
