Hey all

Ok ladies help me out here what is GD I’m guessing gestational diabetes? Hope everyone is getting on wonderful and the bumps are growing rapidly! In other news I went for my OB appointment today all good HB 150 measuring 33 across my belly at 30.5 weeks and they now tell me that I am going to get a growth scan at 32.5 weeks obviously I’m super excited although I have to say I have to say I don’t think the registrar at the doctors office know what they’re doing when I was told last time no more scans - so I guess I’m not complaining 🤷🏼 Baby shower on Sun super excited too!

@Curlymam88 oh I see. I hope I don't get constipated with the tablets. I just gotta make sure I eat a lot of fibre.

@JW2021 aww that's sound good. Hopefully everything will be ok on the scan... aww baby shower that's lovely. I was going to have a baby shower but I didn't in the end

I'm 32wks today and had my 2nd growth scan, all is good,lots of movement and baby is measuring where he should and weighs 4lb 2oz 💙
Our eldest 3 had last day of school today now off 9 days so lots of fun with all 4 of them planned,pumpkin picking,carving and halloween decs to hang.....its our eldests 10th birthday next week so fun day out planned then aswell! Whats everyone planning for half term? x

@lovebeingmum9 that's good news hun. What a nice weight baby is at. My eldest broke up today so now she is off for 2 weeks. Youngest broke up yesterday and is off for 12 days. Strange how some schools are only off for over a week. I don't have much planned for half term to be fair.
Aww tour eldest will be 10.. I hope he/she will have a great day.

@jadey1991 Thanks hun yes happy he's at a nice weight.....going up hospital today made me feel a bit anxious I suppose because I know whats to come and only round the corner now! 😅
Aw lovely.....yeah its strange how they are all so different would think it would be the same? Its mad to think they will return in November!!!
Aw thankyou....Yes she's very excited to be in 'double digits' growing up too quick! 🙈 I don't blame you,just relaxing at home without school runs would be lovely....
We are just planning on our own little family halloween party just hubby,I and our kids in costumes,watching movie and eating buffet/sweets etc now the weathers on the turn there's lots of coughs,colds,bugs and obviously covids rising again so after daughters birthday.... we won't be venturing out far again x

Yes exactly which means our babies are going to arrive soon lol 😂...
yes the bugs that are going around are crazy. A few children in my youngest daughters class have Covid. They all rested positive on Thursday the day my daughter broke up. Luckily my daughter tested negative and she seems fine and her normal self.
Awww isn't that sweet. I should be going to my sisters over Halloween so the younger kids and find sweets and play some games. I don't really do Halloween anymore x

@JW2021 Yeah GD is gestational diabetes.

I’m trying to look at it as it the consultant and my midwife aren’t worried I shouldn’t be but now that it’s been mentioned it’s definitely in the back of my mind which is quite hard to shake.

Now convinced that GD or not I’m having a huge baby 🤦‍♀️

So…… GD Gestational diabetes no one ever answered me can I get it right or I’m totally off base?

@lovebeingmum9 glad baby is doing well 😊 same plans as us for half term, relaxing, and Halloween dressing up, decorations and picking our own pumpkins to carve.
My daughter only has a week off!! Wish she had longer! I got my second growth scan on Tuesday so looking forward to seeing how big shes got. I feel like she's got alot bigger and I've been feeling really uncomfortable last night and today but we will see

Oh no I bet that was worrying but glad she's got negative results! Its such a worry as it seems to be getting closer....I know we will all get it eventually but like everyone else....would rather keep it at bay as long as possible! Aw that sounds lovely,hope you all have a lovely time! 😊 Yeah halloweens not to everyone's taste,I never used to like it until we had our kids...Ive been converted and will be hanging a 10ft spider from our front room ceiling (named Charlotte) over weekend lol 🤣

Good luck for your scan tue....keep us posted bet she's growing beautifully,was she measuring well before....was she on the 90th percentile? Aw yeah I've had some terrible nights sleep lately,can't seem to get comfy and lots of midnight movements lol My hubby was able to feel babies foot yesterday and I can feel arms and legs sliding from side to side it still amazes me!
@JW2021 yes gd=gestational diabetes....so many terms its hard to know what they all mean lol

I'm all sorted for baby in all areas except for a name! We cant seem to find one we love. Both of those names are lovely. At my last growth scan she was on the middle line, the 50th percentile is it? It amazes me too feeling all the movements. I think iys crazy how we've grown another human being and its inside us. Seems freaky sometimes lol.

@Curlymam88 well done for having mostly everything sorted! Some people prefer to see baby and then name them....hubby and I struggled to find a name we liked for our daughter but once we heard it....it just stuck and couldn't get the name out of our minds! lol we have found boys names much easier which is handy for us with 1 girl and 4 boys 🤣 Yeah your right it is crazy.....magical really how our bodies manage it! x

@lovebeingmum9 we actually we another name now lol. So we have two to choose from. Josiah and jahmari. We are trying to keep it to all j's as me,my partner and 2 daughters all begin with J.
Aww that's a nice name.. Oscar... yea negative results for us all.
@Curlymam88 I've been the same to be honest, I've been really uncomfortable the past few nights, waking up and running to the toilet, waking up dripping of sweat. Today I'm convinced I had braxton hicks contractions. My belly kept going hard.
Ill b 31 weeks on Saturday. Im feeling every single movement from him. Im sure I've got a lot bigger.. keep us updated with with your scan.

@Curlymam88 I'm with you on being sorted for baby now. We have everything too. Just gotta keep buying nappies and wipes as we go along lol. I'm sure you both will find a lovely name for baby. Your telling me about growing another life I actually feel so blessed. Honestly if you ladies knew the struggle we went through to conceive/fall pregnant is unbelievable. I didn't think I could have anymore.
I'm just so grateful and thankful I have all you lovely ladies on this journey with me.

Lovely to hear how everyone's doing. The kids broke up on Wednesday and we have just come back from an overnight trip to London to see Matilda! Was so lovely to get away, even just for a couple of days and was weird to think that it will be the last time as a family of four! Definitely feeling pretty huge now and walking around London was tiring but so glad we managed to get there. Covid has been everywhere around us with so many close contact cases at the schools but thankfully we managed to avoid it enough to get away! Now we'll just have a pretty relaxed rest of half term, just crazy to think next school holiday baby should be here!

@burtle4 aww how nice. Glad you all enjoyed. I love Matilda shame I didn't know about it. Glad all is well with you.

@jadey1991 aw lovely names and all beginning with J 😊 My parents names started with 'S' so we all have names starting with S and our surname too.....trouble was when letters came through just with 1st initial we all thought it was ours lol
I'm glad your all sorted too must be nice to have it all done! we are almost there now just finishing touches,cot mattress and wash and refresh what we have......I'm like you I feel super blessed ❤

Glad we've all dodged covid so far.....its worrying when they say alot of the worst cases are pregnant ladies in hospitals 😓
Not long now will soon be November! Our kids next break up from school on my due date.....so we will have a full house lol talk about thrown in at the deep end lol x

@lovebeingmum9 Oh wow, what a lovely surprise for her, that'll be so much fun! My due date is the day after they break up from school but thinking they will be inducing me early because of his size, so I'm hoping he'll arrive while they're still at school!
I'm also appreciating every last moment of this pregnancy, knowing how long it took us to concieve and the fact that I thought I was getting too old. It's definitely our last baby and I just want to cherish every moment of it because it all goes so quickly!

@lovebeingmum9 oh yeah I think that's what is going to happen here. GPS thing is my surname begins with an s and my partner and the kids begin with a g. So I know when my post is here lol. I 100% do appreciate it. 💗

It would be handy for you if he came while the others are in school,it makes childcare alot harder for us if ours are home because we need someone to watch our other 4 children (no easy task) lol Yeah it pains me to say but this is also our last baby.... so just appreciating the moment and privilege of being pregnant for last time! ❤

Hope everyone is having a fab half term? I had my second growth scan today at 32 weeks, and babys gone up onto 95th percentile now weighing 4lb14. Ive been booked in for another scan in 3 weeks time where they think it'll thrn be time for booking me in for my steroid injections and to book me in for my c section. So looking like the beginning of December I'd say 😬

Hello - so glad you scan went well - I’m having mine next week - they call it in the USA an EFG who knew until I asked! Why is everything an acronym! Last time I got a scan was at 20 weeks and the percentile was 62nd what does that even mean ?
I’m having a baby boy any answers would be greatly appreciated.
