@Curlymam88 aww that's great news hun? So glad everything went well.
Oh my, that's very exciting I bet you are so excited... x

jadey1991 · 26/10/2021 17:46

@JW2021 to be honest I don't understand the precentile myself so I Couldn't help

Curlymam88 · 26/10/2021 18:50

When you have a growth scan they plot the babys weight on a chart and on the chart there's 5 curves. Each curve is a percentile. and depending which line your baby is near is what percentile they are. If they're on say the lowest line then that's smaller than average and a lower percentile. The middle line is the average line and the top line is the above average line and a higher percentage. Thats my understanding of it anyway. Im not 100% but that's how I think of it in my head.
@jadey1991 thqnk you, I was actually sat in the waiting room to see one of my doctors after the news thinking shit is getting real now. Lol. 3 weeks is going to go fast. Then I'll more than likely know a date she will be here. I am excited though more than anything Smile

jadey1991 · 26/10/2021 18:59

@Curlymam88 I bet you are hun. I was thinking if I should ask my ideograms to be induced myself. I've actually been stressing about baby's due date to be honest.

Curlymam88 · 26/10/2021 19:18

@jadey1991 because due date being around Xmas day? I dont know anything about when or for what reasons they'll do an induction but I dont see the harm in telling them your concerns and asking about it, see what they say.

jadey1991 · 26/10/2021 19:41

@Curlymam88 yeah I think it actually has something to with his due date being on Xmas day. And I think it's knowing when my waters will break etc etc. I already have family on stand by for my daughters but it's just knowing when. 🤦🏽‍♀️ I think I'm sounding kinda selfish

Curlymam88 · 26/10/2021 20:33

No you're not sounding selfish at all @jadey1991 I think id probably feel the same and be on edge all Xmas wondering is now going to be the time etc... ask them see what they say. Im sure you wouldn't have been the first person to feel this way with a due date of Xmas day.

tuxedocat · 26/10/2021 20:39

Hi girls. Not been around much as things went 0-100 quite quickly.

I’ve been diagnosed with obstetric cholestasis. I had it on my first pregnancy but have it again now at 31wks. My son was born next day as he was past term but I’ve spent all weekend in the assessment unit as I’m still so early.
I’ve been strapped to the monitor all weekend, as my bump hasn’t ‘grown’ by the tape and I was measuring 28cm at 31wks. I had an urgent growth scan yesterday, and baby looks great. They estimate 4lb2oz but I don’t quite believe they’re accurate! But the main thing is the cord and the placenta and fluid are ok.

I am going to be under consultant care with regular bloods (my arms are bruised to high heaven with the amount of bloods I’ve had taken) and I need a scan on my liver and I will meet with a consultant to discuss induction. The latest she will be born is 39wks, if my levels don’t stay good then 37/38wks.

It’s been a really shit weekend, and I’ve hardly slept. I worry about her movements all the time because of the increased risk of stillbirth, so find myself abit anxious and run ragged as I still have a 4yr old to look after and work full time.

Glad to hear everyone is doing ok tho, and babies are growing well

jadey1991 · 26/10/2021 20:39

@Curlymam88 yeah exactly. I have my next midwife appointment on 12th November too sorry or birth plan so I'll mention something then. I have my second growth scan on 2nd November so I'm looking forward to it. Thanks Ford the reassurance x

jadey1991 · 26/10/2021 20:42

@tuxedocat oh no hun, I'm so sorry to hear about that. What are they planning on doing now? Do you just have to wait and see what consult says? How far gone was you when you had your son?

tuxedocat · 26/10/2021 21:31

@jadey1991 I was 38wks with my son so he was born next day but I was in early labour without knowing anyway.

I think the plan is just lots of monitoring, and meeting with the consultant in the next week or so xx

Curlymam88 · 26/10/2021 21:35

@jadey1991 hope your scan goes well, and you get some good info off the midwife.
@tuxedocat I dont know much about what you have but so sorry to hear you've had a rough time of it. Good that they know you have it and that they're keeping a good close eye on you.

jadey1991 · 26/10/2021 22:34

@tuxedocat aww hun bless you. I do hope everything works out for u darling. Please do keep us updated x

jadey1991 · 27/10/2021 13:44

@Curlymam88 thanks hun

JW2021 · 27/10/2021 15:16

Oh my goodness I just googled your condition - I’m so sorry you have to go through this - have you got itchy palms feet or belly? I would never had guessed it was a problem? Well try & look on the bright side if you can…..at least you can prepare for baby and it not be let’s say at 2am and be in a panic to get to the hospital - I’m certain everything will work out just fine - at least the OB is on top of it now - sending you hugs xx

jadey1991 · 30/10/2021 17:43

Hello my lovely ladies how are we all doing

Curlymam88 · 30/10/2021 19:27

Hello @jadey1991 I'm ok, just so uncomfortable when trying to sit on the sofa to watch TV and when trying to get comfy in bed. Im.not doing too bad though thank you. How are you doing? How are the iron tablets working and how's your ankle holding up?

jadey1991 · 30/10/2021 20:09

@Curlymam88 oh hun I feel you on that. I've been so uncomfortable the past couple days. Last night I had 3 hours sleep. My left leg was aching so much. I could settle. I've noticed that I'm feeling so much more of baby the past couple days too. I've been getting a slight pain at the top of my tummy but I think it's baby moving in some weird positions.
Iron tablets I hope are working. Ankle is fine. Im getting over the common cold and flu. I caught it off my other half(I was doing so well not to get ill) we are all due soon.
I have my growth scan on Tuesday. So we are really excited. Then on 12th I have midwife appointment(to go through birth plan. Although im still debating if I should have home north or go birthing centre)...My youngest daughter goes back to school Monday and eldest on 8th(day after my bday)

Sorry for long essay lol x

Curlymam88 · 30/10/2021 21:19

Oh no thats not good, I had restless legs from the start which meant I couldn't sleep tody for months but its eased off now in third trimester thankfully. Its hard going when you can't get a decent sleep ontop of just generally being tired from growing a baby too. Have you tried magnesium sleep oil? I found that helped my legs.
I've been getting weird pains aswell, I had a stitch pain earlier down my right side and a few low down. I put it down to the way the baby was laying too.
I'm glad the iron tablets seem to be working, I jad my bloods redone after being on iron for a few weeks and my levels have only gone up slightly. But feeling better than I was before.
I've heard there's alot of colds going around, I hope you feel better soon.
Are you still going to ask about being induced?
My daughter goes back on Monday. The week has flown by.

JW2021 · 30/10/2021 21:19

Hello Jade it’s so nice that you keep us all together and check up on us all on here.
I have my growth scan on Thursday really excited considering they wasn’t going to give me one perhaps we can compare notes being as we are both due December 25th. Hope you and everybody here is doing good do you realize it’s only 55 days till DD! 👶🏼

jadey1991 · 30/10/2021 21:36

@Curlymam88 I've been suffering with restless legs since my second trimester. It's not nice at all. Maybe I might try that oil. How does it work?
Yeah I think we are just getting to that stage now. I'm 32 weeks today AndI feel so terrible..
Tmi** but have you or anyone been constipated and then had slight diarrhoea.
This week has defo gone so quick.
Defo loads of colds going around. Usually I'm only ill twice a year. Since Covid has happened I haven't been ill so this time round I feel so run down. But thank you. I've got to have my bloods redone so I will ask my midwife for blood form.

jadey1991 · 30/10/2021 21:38

@JW2021 thank you yes I do like to check up 🆙 n you lovely ladies. I'll have to make a new thread again soon.
Aww I do hope your growth scan goes well. Please do keep us updated. We sure can compare notes that's absolutely fine lol. I don't think my baby will arrive on Xmas day tho.
Yes we don't have long left now. It's fast approaching.

jadey1991 · 30/10/2021 21:39

This is me today at 32 weeks

Curlymam88 · 30/10/2021 22:43

@jadey1991 no restless legs is the worst. The oil you just rub into your legs before you go to bed. I found it helped me alot.
No constipation or anything here sorry. Might the constipation then diarrhoea be because you're under the weather?
@JW2021 hope both of your scans go well

JW2021 · 30/10/2021 22:50

I think we look pretty comparable Jade don’t you - Happy 32 weeks BTW!
