Oh by the way ladies did you know you shouldn't sleep on your right hand side ?

LouLou0505 · 27/09/2021 13:40

@Curlymam88 - it sounds like you need a good rest! Hopefully it’s just a random phase of sickness for you and you’ll feel bette soon but seems a bit strange it’s all started again since you passed out!

Regarding anti-D I don’t believe there are any but my friends had it twice due to falling over and then the normal one at 28weeks for negative mothers and she said it’s an awful injection.

Even my midwife said it’s awful 🙄

Curlymam88 · 27/09/2021 13:58

@jadey1991 bot got my c section date yet. But with the insulin I take baby will more than likely be on the bigger side.
I didnt know about the right hand side sleeping. I always wake up on my back and I know you shouldn't do that. I turn over but always end up on my back.
@LouLou0505 just think of it as once it's done its done. It won't be a constant pain? I have to have steroid injections before my c section and the same with that, some people have said its horrible but some have said its ok. Try to keep calm and breathe Flowers

LouLou0505 · 27/09/2021 14:05

I’ve read and multiple midwives have said it doesn’t actually matter if you sleep on left or right. They say left could be better because of our kidneys but there are no actual facts to say the right is bad at all.

It’s just we shouldn’t sleep on our back 🤷🏻‍♀️

jadey1991 · 27/09/2021 14:50

Oh ok, I've just heard from the doctor that I should sleep on my right hand side because the weight of my uterus compresses against some vessels and that can stop blood flow to my heart and babies heart. So now I'm also making sure I'm on my left

catlady1234 · 27/09/2021 14:56

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this thread.

I'm 28 weeks pregnant, due on the 21st December.

How is everyone feeling? Is everyone getting organised? 😊

tuxedocat · 27/09/2021 15:32

I still sleep on my back now. I try on my side but I’ve been sleeping with a pillow between my legs to help my SPD.

The last few days I’ve really felt pregnant. I over did it exercising so my hips and SPD are hurting, and I’ve got the most immense rib pain. It’s so sore I can’t concentrate at work!
Sadly No mat leave for me as it’s a family business so I have to plough on but I feel awful today

I’ve not seen my MW in almost 10weeks so I’ll be glad to see her tbh, I’ll have a list as long as my arm to moan about! I’ve been taking extra iron as I think my iron is low as my hairs been shedding a bit so hoping that kicks in soon.

@catlady1234 welcome fellow cat lover! I’m 27w and not organised at all. Second baby so we have some things but I am starting to think I need to get my ass in gear!

jadey1991 · 27/09/2021 16:12

@catlady1234 hello welcome and congratulations. I'm feeling ok, tired and have bad heartburn and an achy leg. But other than that yes all good. Almost organised

jadey1991 · 27/09/2021 16:14

@tuxedocat aww hun I hear you. So when do you plan to stay home and relax? What's up? You said you have a long list to loan about

Curlymam88 · 27/09/2021 16:38

@tuxedocat you've been exercising???? Shock well done to you. I cant walk up 5 steps of the stairs without being out of breath.
Hi @catlady1234 I'm due 22nd. Im all ready for baby. Her bedroom is done all bits bought and hospital bag is packed. Im glad I did it early as i really wouldn't have felt up to it if I left it for now.

catlady1234 · 27/09/2021 17:09

Iv just got back from 2 weeks in Dubai which was amazing! Soo nice to have a final break before baby comes!

I have got a few bits, but not organised at all. Iv not done the nursery or anything like that. I did get a pram from gumtree yesterday that I'm very happy with- that feels like an achievement.

I'm feeling huge already! Iv got really bad heartburn too! I think the cake eating has caught me too, I feel fat and bumpy!

Is anyone doing NCT? X

tuxedocat · 27/09/2021 17:38

@catlady1234 I feel you on the heartburn! All of a sudden it’s crept up the last few weeks I feel like pregnancy has hit me like a brick 😂

@Curlymam88 yes, I’m mad I know 😂 I try to run or workout 5 x days a week to keep me busy. It’s my ‘me’ time to chill. I think my running days are numbered though with the amount of pain I’ve had lately after 😩

@jadey1991 I don’t think I will be staying home sadly, I think I’ll have to see as we get closer to due date if I can do a few less hours but I’ll likely have to work from home or head to work. Luckily it’s only a 5-10 min drive so it’s not too bad.
Mostly just my hip/pelvic pain and the rib pain has kicked up a notch the last day or so. I need to mention about my fainting episode, I think my iron is quite low as I’m always tired and my hair is shedding sooo much. Luckily I got some new iron tabs so I hope they help as it’s making me so paranoid! Think I’ve been getting some acid reflux too. Feels like a lot to moan about when I’ve not seen her for 10 weeks 😂 god it’s flown by though!

lovebeingmum9 · 27/09/2021 17:51

Hi everyone! How are you all?
So sorry I havnt been on for ages....its been a pretty hectic time for us lately what with getting kids back to school! Our 3rd child started in reception and tbh i was an emotional wreck! 😅 I think it was a mixture of things, obviously hormones but a bit of depression too! I am up and down but am in a much better mood now thankfully! I am 28wk +3 and had my glucose intolerance test today, went well but not something I would want to do again anytime soon lol I've got midwife app tomorrow just routine checks.....I am glad I have a calendar as would be totally lost without it to put everything in! I bought a new moses basket and steraliser bundle which arrived today.....and keep picking little winter and knitted outfits for baby as and when I see them 😍
I've had my whooping & flu vaccine but still not had the covid jabs. Yes ladies not too long now until our babies are here with us....I love Halloween and its our eldest 10th at end of October so double celebration! Again sorry I've been absent and missed loads on here but I hope all is well with you all Flowersx

JW2021 · 27/09/2021 18:01

Good morning MTB
Anyone know what week we get our final growth scan?

Curlymam88 · 27/09/2021 18:19

@catlady1234 what is NCT?
@tuxedocat I agree it has flown by...and I'm kind of hoping the next few weeks do aswell!!!!!
@lovebeingmum9 im with you on the calendar. I have one up inthe kitchen and I also use the calendar on my phone for my appointments, I've had and got so many but im really grateful theyre keeping an eye on me. I understand what you mean about being emotional with things, I've been a little like that aswell. Kind of beating myself up and getting down about feeling so crap. Deffo the hormones ramping up another level.
@JW2021 I have my final growth scan 2 weeks before due date at 38 weeks. Although I think baby will be arriving by section before that final growth scan.

jadey1991 · 27/09/2021 18:23

@tuxedocat aww bless you hun. Try take it easy as much as you can. Is the rib pain because baby is in there? I've been getting that too but when i lay on that I be is in then it stops.
Yeah that needs to be seen to ASAP. Low iron can be a pain at times. Hun I'm haven't seen my midwife since my last appointment which was when I was about 12-13 weeks. My next appointment is on the 1st October.

jadey1991 · 27/09/2021 18:23

@JW2021 same as me mine is 38 weeks.

catlady1234 · 27/09/2021 18:24

@Curlymam88 the NCT are antenatal classes. This is our first and I feel like I need them! I don't know anything 🙈

jadey1991 · 27/09/2021 18:27

@lovebeingmum9 aww it's so nice to hear from you. Glad you're in a better place now. Time has defo flown by. I'm planning on getting buggy, steriliser, bottles etc within the next week or so. I already have my Moses basket, bouncer. Need loads more things lol

jadey1991 · 27/09/2021 18:28

@catlady1234 aww nice holiday. I've never done antenatal classes before. So not sure what they are like lol. Do you know what you're having?

Curlymam88 · 27/09/2021 18:38

@catlady1234 oh I see, no I've never been to any classes with my first or with this baby. I found i just learned as i went along.

catlady1234 · 27/09/2021 18:39

@jadey1991 we have booked to go to NCT, we start in November. We are quite new to the area so I'm looking to make some mum friends.

We are having a boy 💙 what about you?

tuxedocat · 27/09/2021 20:04

@jadey1991 I’m not sure on the rib pain I didn’t think baby would be big enough but I might be wrong, she’s certainly wriggling enough tonight!

No NCT here either, I’m not really a huge people person and I find baby classes bad enough 😂 I know that’s awful to say!
I’m going to sit down tonight and make a list of what we have and what we need and what we want to get. I also need to figure out what I want done in her bedroom, I can’t seem to decide!

jadey1991 · 27/09/2021 20:21

@catlady1234 oh I see. This is my first boy, I have 2 daughters too.

jadey1991 · 27/09/2021 20:22

@tuxedocat aww bless yes of course baby is big enough now. So she could possibly be in your rib cage.
That's a good idea I think I should do that myself lol
