@JW2021 I'm due on December 30th and got our pram very recently. Due to the whole Brexit lorry shortages I was worried they might have less stock available and just wanted to tick off one of the essential purchases! It's at my mums house for now until nearer the time so as it's not here and I'm not able to look at it, I feel like I don't really have it 😅

tuxedocat · 22/09/2021 20:26

@JW2021 my pram is in the attic 😂 we bought it at 24wks last time had it delivered around 30ish weeks and assembled it near due date. Simply because we have cats and they were chomping at the bit to get in it.

Theawkwardblonde · 23/09/2021 23:17

@JW2021 I'm due just after you. Pram bought, just awaiting on it being delivered.

JW2021 · 24/09/2021 00:18

How did everyone make out with their 1 hour glucose test - I’m still waiting to hear back - dying to eat a GIANT chocolate bar! 😋

jadey1991 · 24/09/2021 07:25

@JW2021 I haven't had mine. Don't know when or if I will. I have a midwife appointment on 1st Oct.

burtle4 · 24/09/2021 07:30

I had my glucose test last Friday and haven't heard anything since so assuming that means all is ok! We have to wait two hours over here and I started feeling a bit woozy in the middle of it with the lack of food, wearing a mask and drinking a really sugary drink on an empty stomach!
I finally made a decision on a pram and went for the out n about nipper, have paid for it but yet to collect but will stick it in the garage when I do until it's needed!

jadey1991 · 24/09/2021 10:53

@burtle4 is this glucose test a normal practice now? I don't remember getting that done when I had my 2 daughters.
I really like the red kite savannah buggy. I will be ordering it beginning of Oct

2020mission · 24/09/2021 13:28

Don't you only get those tests if a general blood test or any other symptoms suggest you might need it? I'm getting bloods taken at 28 weeks (2 weeks away) so will likely find out if I'm getting it after that.

JW2021 · 24/09/2021 13:49

In the USA it’s standard practice - it must be done between 26-28 weeks - fingers crossed mine will be a good result 🤞🏻

jadey1991 · 24/09/2021 14:43

Oh I see I have my 28 week midwife appointment on 1st Oct so I'll find out then

burtle4 · 24/09/2021 15:00

@jadey1991 I only got offered it because baby's abdominal circumference was measuring on 96th percentile and a big baby can be one of the signs of having it. Thankfully it seems like he must have just had a big drink of amniotic fluid on the day of the scan 😂

jadey1991 · 24/09/2021 15:03

@burtle4 oh I see. I must check my one when I get home then. I've got another scan on 6th Oct

burtle4 · 24/09/2021 15:06

I'm sure they would have said something at the last scan if they'd thought there was a problem. What's your scan on 6th for? I've got one on 19th for growth scan x

jadey1991 · 24/09/2021 17:15

@burtle4 same as u hun a growth scan the another 2 in November. Why was the reason for your growth scans

burtle4 · 24/09/2021 18:35

Because I'm a bit older they want to keep an eye on whether everything's doing ok so will have a scan at 32, 36 and 40 weeks, plus will have an extra scan at 34 weeks to check the placenta so will have plenty of chances to see baby 💙 is yours because your other babies were on the small side?x

jadey1991 · 24/09/2021 19:34

@burtle4 oh I see. To be fair I was never told that any of my daughters were small. I was able to take them home the next day everything. My eldest was 6.1 and youngest 7.6..

burtle4 · 24/09/2021 22:54

That's pretty average sizes isn't it? Surprised they'd consider them small!

jadey1991 · 25/09/2021 09:24

@burtle4 exactly that's what I fault. They say it's because my eldest daughter who was 6.1 was small that's why I'm having growth scans. I don't know whether I should believe that to be fair. Nothing was said to me about her weight. Even when I had my youngest there was no problem

Curlymam88 · 27/09/2021 12:13

Is anyone else feeling really rough or is it just me? I'm 28 weeks on Wednesday and I feel worse now than I did in the first trimester. I dont know if its from my outing of passing out on Wednesday at the hospital or if its to do with iron or the iron tablets or just normal. Feel so dizzy, keep being sick, can't eat tidy and I'm absolutely knackered. I dont know whats wrong 😭

LouLou0505 · 27/09/2021 12:30

@Curlymam88 - sending you hugs!

I can’t say I feel as bad as I did in the first few weeks but sickness has started hitting me at night again!

I put everything down to being my first baby but I didn’t realise how hard pregnancy was. I’m such a small person I’m really struggling with him growing my body is in agony!!

Luckily my work have let me cut down to 6hrs a day and I still get paid the same which is defo helping.

I’ve also got my anti D injection this week and I’m dreading it! I had my first COVID jab the week before last abs I was surprised that I’ve felt perfectly fine after that!

burtle4 · 27/09/2021 13:07

@Curlymam88 how horrible for you, sounds like you're having a really rough time Flowers I think if your iron levels aren't right that will have a lot to do with it. I'm sure once they're back to your normal levels you'll feel more like yourself. Have you had blood tests to check anything else?

jadey1991 · 27/09/2021 13:15

@Curlymam88 sending you massive hugs darling. I can't say I feel how you're feeling but one thing I can tell you is that I'm constantly sleeping, I'm suffering with bad heartburn and leg aches.

Curlymam88 · 27/09/2021 13:31

@LouLou0505 just the smell of cooked food made me sick last night. Its horrible. Im glad work are being flexible and you're not losing out on any money. Pregnancy is hard one way or another. Do.you get side effects from the anti D? Try not to stress about it, might not be anything to worry about.
@burtle4 yes I had a full blood count. Everything else was fine apart from ferritin and iron. I feel worse since hospital on Wednesday. Dont know what to make of it all.
@jadey1991 thank you. I just keep thinking to myself the earliest I can have my c section is at 37+5 which is exactly 10 weeks today. Im counting down, even though I feel I shouldn't be, let her cook for as long as possible. But I really am feeling rough 😞

Curlymam88 · 27/09/2021 13:32

I have 4 hospital appointments tomorrow. I have a growth scan, obstetrician, diabetic midwife and diabetic doctor. Im hoping 1 of them can help me out...if I make it through the appointments 🤣

jadey1991 · 27/09/2021 13:34

@Curlymam88 aww bless you hun, you got you c section date..
only 10 weeks liked to hun and u will have you baby girl in your arms...
