Thought I’d share part of baby boys nursery! We’ve still got a bit more to do putting up shelves and book case but we have so many boxes in there from his pram and cot etc!

I’ve been super organised this week and ordered all his bottles, big boxes of wipes bath stuff and creams it’s so scary but also lovely!! 💙

Love the green @LouLou0505!

I think we’re going to go for sage green 3/4 wall with some wall decals (like Dalmatian spots in different tones) but I can’t decide! We’ve got her wardrobe and unit (went for the IKEA platsa modular system which works so well) and because we’ve been ripping our room out the drawers and wardrobe are shoved full of things. I’m so desperate to sort it out 😂 I’m still so behind on buying things - this time with my son I already had bottles, the pram, towels etc. All I’ve bought so far is a handful of outfits 🙈

Hello lovely ladies
How are we all doing?

Just an update on myself, I am feeling a lot better then I did over the weekend. I'm still feeling congested but not as much as before. I think it might also be my hayfever as the weather has been so hot.
Baby is doing well. He been dancing around in my tummy. Only problem I am having is sleepless nights as my left leg is so achy and wakes me up.
I got my Moses basket today so really happy.

@tuxedocat - thank you! We are full on jungle theme for his nursery!!

@jade0881 - glad you are feeling better! Hope you are resting up and making sure you are taking it easy!!

I had my midwife app this morning, I’ve had to have my blood tested to see if I have cholestasis? Anyone else had this?

Also my midwife loved to tell me how horrible the anti-D injection is that I have to have in a few weeks. Also has anyone else had to have an anti-D injection?

tuxedocat · 08/09/2021 15:22

@LouLou0505 yes I had it in my last pregnancy. It’s a liver condition usually (but not always) have symptoms of itchy hands or feet.

@jade0881 glad you’re feeling better lovely!

Curlymam88 · 08/09/2021 16:23

@LouLou0505 lovely photo of the nursery 😊
@jade0881 im glad you're feeling a bit better. Same here with the sleepless nights. Still have the insomnia and restless legs. That's been the main symptom of my pregnancy. Im hopingwith my daughter being back in school and the early starts that ill be so knackered that ill just sleep. I can hope anyway!
I'm 25 weeks today 😬 so looking forward to Halloween and December be here before we know it. I had my midwife appointment last week but she didn't do or say alot really. Blood pressure and urine that was about it.

Theawkwardblonde · 08/09/2021 22:47

@LouLou0505 I've had one anti D injection so far due to heavy bleeding at 16 weeks. I had quite a reaction to it. Thought I had covid the day after I felt so pants 🤣
Got another one in a few weeks time.

burtle4 · 09/09/2021 07:35

What is the anti D injection for? Does everyone have to have it?
I had my consultant appointment about my habit of getting a retained placenta on Tuesday. She said they'll make sure they monitor it closely this time to avoid the haemorrhage I had last time, but because of my age they also want to give me growth scans every 4 weeks from 32 weeks on top of the one I'm having at 34 weeks to check my placenta! So will be seeing lots of baby in last few weeks! They've also said they will probably induce me in my final week so I don't go over which I don't mind too much about as it means he will be here before Christmas!
@LouLou0505 your nursery is looking lovely, I still haven't done anything, feeling pretty disorganised!!

LouLou0505 · 09/09/2021 07:40

From what I’ve been told you only have an anti-d injection when you and the baby have different blood. So I’m O negative and he’s like his dad and O positive.

jade0881 · 09/09/2021 18:18

@LouLou0505
I've never heard of that. Might need to google it..
has anyone has there whooping cough vaccine yet?

jade0881 · 09/09/2021 18:20

@Curlymam88 aww bless, my legs are driving me mad. It's every night now.. I'm 25 weeks on Saturday and I can't wait... December will soon be here lol x

OP posts:
jade0881 · 09/09/2021 18:28

@burtle4 I'm wondering that myself. I've never had it.
I've gotta have growth scans myself. I have them from 28 weeks. Will be a pleasure seeing him again.

LouLou0505 · 09/09/2021 18:49

I had my whooping cough jab when I was 20 weeks. Got my COVID jab next week, then will have my anti-D and then my flu jab 😂

With the amount of blood tests I have to have done at the moment because of my anti-D and all those injections I feel like a pin cushion 😂

Curlymam88 · 09/09/2021 18:56

Yep, had my whooping cough jab at 16 weeks.

jade0881 · 09/09/2021 19:38

Oh I need to get mine.

OP posts:
tuxedocat · 09/09/2021 21:54

No whooping cough here yet. I won’t see the MW until 28w so I expect around them. Still undecided on my covid jab

Theawkwardblonde · 09/09/2021 22:27

@burtle4 @jade0881 the anti d is if you are Rhesus negative and your baby is positive. You would have been told by now if you needed it so it's one less jab to worry about 😂
I've just had my whooping cough vaccine this week (24 weeks).
@Curlymam88 the damn legs/cramping is so evil!
My sciatica has flared up on my right side too. Haven't had issues in years but it appears pregnancy has aggravated that old injury. I haven't had a decent nights sleep since about 6 weeks pregnant 😂 good prep I suppose!

jade0881 · 09/09/2021 23:43

@Theawkwardblonde oh I see. One less jab for me then.
@tuxedocat oh ok, yes I think I'll wait till my next MW appt which is on Oct 1st to speak about whooping cough vaccine..I'm still not getting Covid jab.

OP posts:
burtle4 · 10/09/2021 07:33

Definitely not saying anyone should get the jab if they don't feel it's right for them, but a pregnant lady in our local hospital died the other day from covid. They managed to save the baby but couldn't save her so now her husband and baby are left without her, so sad 😔

jade0881 · 10/09/2021 09:08

@burtle4 aww that is sad. You hear alot about cases like this but I've also heard other ones where mum got jabbed and sadly lost her baby. So sad to here that. I'm just very cautious when it comes to my health and certainly my babies health

2020mission · 10/09/2021 09:40

@jade0881 I had the whooping cough vaccine just after my 20 week scan. It was fine just had a sore arm for a couple of days. You can get it anytime now. I haven't had the covid vaccine either. Happy to get it once baby is born. The flu vaccine should be soon but it will feel like a bit of a waste of time given they don't really know what flu strain is dominant this year since we've not been mixing 😅

jade0881 · 10/09/2021 09:59

@2020mission aww ok, I defo need to get mine. Does the MW refer you to get it done or can I just go gp and ask them to do it?
I agree with the flu jab, seems pointless atm

OP posts:
2020mission · 10/09/2021 18:19

@jade0881 my midwife booked it for me at my 16 week appointment but I've heard of ladies who haven't had a booking also just asking while at any maternity hospital appointments. Mines was booked for 10 mins before my 20 week scan so I asked at reception if I could move it to after the scan so I had no chance of missing the scan and they said "oh sure just pop around the corner to the vaccination nurse when you're out" so it seemed like they really weren't tightly scheduled. Was in and out in a minute! You'll be fine just asking any midwife at your next appointment and they will sort it. Or you could try calling your GP to book it in as they might be able to do it. It's given as a combined vaccine called Boostrix. As it's not a single whooping cough vaccine only for pregnant ladies, I'd think it should be available at GPs? It covers tetanus, diphtheria and whooping cough.

JW2021 · 11/09/2021 18:48

Had my 25 week appointment yesterday things are looking good baby supposedly weighs 1 lbs. 13 oz. and is in the 62nd percentile hows everyone else doing?

JW2021 · 11/09/2021 19:17

I’m going to make an apt for my glucose test next week any tips ladies?
