Hello all 22 wks 4 days.. baby has been moving around a lot more at night time... my husband saw him moving loads yesterday.
I was in hospital yesterday as I trusted my ankle and fractured it. Luckily my eldest daughter was with me and she stopped me from falling. So baby is fine. I'm in a big moon boot right now😂🤦🏽‍♀️. Hope all is well

We’ve just been to John Lewis and got all of the big items and things!! I’ve never been so excited and also in shock that we’ve done it 😂 I feel so much better knowing that now all we need to buy are his clothes, nappies and formula!

It’s insane how quick time is going right now!

lovebeingmum9 · 25/08/2021 18:49

Hi all 😊
@burtle4 I'm glad all went well at your scan and wow baby is a good weight already! x
@jade0881 oh no hun, lucky your daughter stopped you falling and causing anymore damage! hope you have a speedy recovery....thats one way to get out of chores and put your feet up lol x
@LouLou0505 woohoo love a good shopping trip...what goodies did you buy any pics? I'm very laid back as already have most things from our previous children.... but once kids are back at school I'm going to have a bit of retail therapy 😅 x

LouLou0505 · 25/08/2021 19:09

@lovebeingmum9 - haven’t got any pics but it’s all being delivered in the next week so I can’t wait! Going to finish painting his room tomorrow so once his crib is here that can go up straight away!

We got the Nuna Mixx bundle pram it’s so lightweight we just loved it!

LouLou0505 · 25/08/2021 19:11

@lovebeingmum9 - I don’t blame you being more laid back! We are hoping that most things will last for baby number 2 if we are lucky!

My other half almost had a heart attack when I said that earlier 😂😂 he was like woah let’s get this one out first! Not that I think about number 2 I want to enjoy this baby for a few years but better to be prepared!!

jade0881 · 25/08/2021 21:01

@lovebeingmum9 yes thank god for my daughter. I do hope it gets better quick. I don't like sitting around xx

@jade0881 that sounds painful, hope you're ok. My husband fractured his ankle a few months ago and it wasn't much fun so not ideal while you're pregnant I imagine, take it easy.
We've got most stuff for baby from my previous two so feel like I haven't really done anything to prepare yet! Like @lovebeingmum9 I'm waiting until the children are back to school and will then start digging things out of the attic! One thing we don't have is a pram and I forgot what a minefield they are! I didn't massively get on with my last one so want to make sure I get it right this time. We're going second hand as can't afford brand new for third child and thinking of the bugaboo chameleon - has anyone got any experience of it?

jade0881 · 26/08/2021 10:00

@burtle4 yeah not ready at all being pregnant and having a moon boot on. But I suppose it's better then crutches. Oh my were they annoying me🤦🏽‍♀️hope your husband has recovered well

Hello ladies I’ve bought a bunch of clothes & diapers. Hubby has set up the brand new cot & decorated his room; so all coming together nicely. I have my eye on a stroller and a moses basket (bassinet) in the USA just holding off until I get another scan in a couple of weeks when I’ll be 25 weeks OB wants to re-look at babies kidneys praying that the inflammation has disappeared……🙏 Hows everything coming along in your little man’s room?

Curlymam88 · 26/08/2021 13:11

@burtle4 I quite fanciest icklebubba pram. But we went to a shop where they were all out on display and we weren't so keen any more. Glad we went to have a look atthem in person. Weve gone for the oyster 3 pram now. Had the woman in the shop show us how to fold it etc...have you seen the bugaboo pram in person?
@jade0881 I hope you get better soon. Muet be hard hobbling about with a moon boot and a bump lol.
@JW2021 I hope your scan at 25 weeks all goes well for you.
I've finished everything for the baby now. Room is done, pram is ordered just need to pick it up closer to time. Nappies and toiletries bought. Moses basket and next2me crib bought. Only thing we need are the rest of her clothes but we have made a start on them Smile I have to be prepared 😄 hope everyone is doing well.

burtle4 · 26/08/2021 14:53

@Curlymam88 no, but that's probably a good idea!

On another note, just had my phonecall from the breast consultant and the lump is benign 😅 he said there's no point in doing anything with it whilst pregnant and breastfeeding but if it starts getting bigger or feels like it's becoming annoying then to go back after I've finished feeding and they can look at it again. Such a relief!

Curlymam88 · 26/08/2021 17:23

@burtle4 we found we didn't like the material of the hood of the pram so it was a good job we went in person to look. Sometimes it's hard to tell everything from photos. Im glad the lump is benign, I bet its such a relief and you can relax a little bit now Smile

2020mission · 26/08/2021 19:13

@Curlymam88 I'm worried about not seeing prams for that reason 😅 there's only 2 places near me where I can see prams in person: a small selection on display at John Lewis and then a pram centre but a lot of them are high end in the thousands. I have been toying with the idea of just ordering one from somewhere online but I am worried I'll miss something from not seeing it. Was it the Ickle bubba stomp you didn't like the material of? Asking for my notes as it's on the list as a possibility 😅

I do like the look of the oyster 3 but I've seen a few other possibilities at lower prices. It's a tough choice! A lot seem to be out of stock online right now, hoping they come back in stock soon.

JW2021 · 26/08/2021 19:37

Hello again I’d rather like a silver cross pram in one of those jewel colors I think they’re probably last seasons though - but there’s no chance of me getting one of those as I live in the USA shipping would just be off the chart I should think!

Curlymam88 · 26/08/2021 20:01

@2020mission yes it was the stomp. The hood was like a flimsy soft material not a rigid firm material like most prams. Not sure how to describe it any better sorry. We ordered it at the shop as they had a good package deal on it and this is oit of stock until middle of November. I think its the same for most places.

Curlymam88 · 30/08/2021 15:19

How is everyone? I'm feeling so uncomfortable Saturday and today my stomach feels like its so tense. As if there's two fists clenching the top half of my stomach. I dont know if its braxton hicks or not? Its quite constant not just now and again. Any ideas anyone? Hope everyone is doing good?

jade0881 · 30/08/2021 15:37

@Curlymam88 hello hun. Aww doesn't sound nice but does slapping like braxton hicks. They can last for1-2 min.
Keep an eye on it and see how it goes. If not contact your midwife.

I hope everything is well other then that.

My children go back to school on Friday and I'm not looking forward to it.
Baby is doing well. Moving around a lot. Keep feeling a lot of pressure down below. I'm constantly needing to go pee. X

As for baby shopping glasses you should look on online4baby.

It's so good in price. I ordered Moses basket and stand from there that cost me £38.00. So chuffed

JW2021 · 30/08/2021 15:43

My 23 week belly goes super hard for like 3 mins every now & then but I’m not in pain I’m convinced its Braxton Hicks - get used to it there’s no turning back now! 🤣

Curlymam88 · 30/08/2021 16:07

@jade0881 I've had a few things from online4baby. Its a good site. Maybe it is braxton hicks then. Just feels like 2 constant hard balls in the top of my stomach. Eases off if I lay back.
My daughter is back in school next Monday, im not looking forward to it either. Neither is she. I enjoy her being off school lol

Curlymam88 · 30/08/2021 16:08

I have midwife appointment next Monday so I'll ask her then what this is all about.

jade0881 · 30/08/2021 18:29

@Curlymam88 aww bless you. Yeah just see what misldwife says. Or it could be the fact that u ain't carrying a lot of water and u can see baby well x

Hi all my kids go back to school next Wednesday including our 4 year old who will be starting in reception....tried all their uniforms on today and its just so surreal! I've been good getting bigger and feeling low in energy lately, but lots of movement from baby which is lovely! @Curlymam88 sounds like braxton hicks or because baby is taking up more space could be muscles? as @jade0881 says see how you go and check with midwife if your worried x
I'm struggling to get comfy in bed keep switching sides and woke up with back ache today but.... the show must go on and still managed to iron 3 sets of school uniform and label them 😅

Curlymam88 · 31/08/2021 14:54

@lovebeingmum9 im glad you're doing well. I feel the same low onenergy and pit of breath when I try to do anything. But we are all almost in third trimester now so not long left at all. Doesn't seem like that long ago we were all anxious over our 12 week scans Smile

JW2021 · 31/08/2021 15:27

Acronyms! I’m sorry if I sound dumb but I’m a first time mom and I’m not used to all these abbreviations I managed to figure out FTM as full-time mother but there’s been a bunch previous if anyone has the time perhaps you could list them for me greatly appreciated!
