@lovebeingmum9 do you just ask mw to be induced? How do you know how baby is growing? As your in England it must be the same for me unless it's different in areas.
Aww hun, apparently vision and headaches are a big part of the hormones. AGAIN.. I had a headache myself too today which resulted in a eye ache.
Quick question.... so on my app is says I'm in month 6. But on others it says 5 months. X

Hi ladies, I've had a bit of a traumatic time this week. Went in for my hospital appointment to get my breast lump looked at and ended up having a mammogram, ultrasound and biopsy. Was completely not expecting it to be such an ordeal and was actually quite traumatised by the whole thing. Have to wait two weeks for the results of the biopsy before they are able to tell me anything. On top of that i'm now worrying that they didn't give me a radiation shield for my bump during the mammogram, despite saying they would and despite asking for one when I was in there. All round feeling pretty worried for me and baby and feeling pretty sorry for myself! Sorry for the pity post x

lovebeingmum9 · 20/08/2021 11:17

@jade0881 I think you need a reason to request for an induction...(in my case 2nd pregnancy i went 13days overdue, baby was born 10lb 3oz and had shoulder dystocia/shoulders got stuck) quite traumatic so I refuse to go overdue as its more common for it to happen again and our youngest son atm was induced at 40wks and born next day at 9lb so could have been another 10pounder if I had gone overdue a week or 2.....
After my scans I get given paperwork with babies measurements including weight, head circumference, abdominal circumference etc and all scan information! others have said they don't get that info so not sure why its given here and not in other areas of UK? But aside from that I'm under consultant care because of 2nd labour and they give me 3 extra scans for growth to check baby is following lines otherwise they could induce earlier etc
Oh no hun hope the headaches gone now....horrible isn't it! I've attached pic of the months but in all honestly it can vary online i don't know why but mad we are in 6th month! 😁
@burtle4 oh hun so sorry to hear that....sounds awful no wonder your traumatised by it! Hope the results come back negative for anything and its just a case of better safe than sorry.....try not to worry too much about the radiation as its very minor and its only if you have it regularly that it could be harmful (what i was told before) Xx

@burtle4 aww hun I'm so sorry to hear that. I really do hope the results come back clear. However I'm sure they would use the shield knowing you are pregnant. Try not to worry hun(easily said then done) but I'm sure they wouldn't cause harm to baby.

@burtle4 hope you're doing ok. And the results come back ok. Did they give q reason why they didn't provide you one when you mentioned it?
I had the rest of my measurements done today. All looking good. Shes flipped over and is facing the other way around now. Shes been moving loads the last week or so, can see my stomach moving with it too.

@Curlymam88 aww that's great news.. glad all is 'em with you and baby

Thanks everyone, @Curlymam88 she just said the radiation rays wouldn't be strong enough, but the consultant beforehand had said that I would have one so was a bit conflicting! Also I googled (I know you shouldn't 🙈) and everywhere says you will be offered one. But I'm sure you're right @lovebeingmum9, the risk is very minor 🤞
Glad you got a good second scan @Curlymam88, I've got mine on Monday and really looking forward to seeing baby again, he's moving a lot now too!

lovebeingmum9 · 20/08/2021 18:19

@Curlymam88 lovely pic glad all is well ❤ I've noticed the movement alot more lately too....and seeing belly bounce when he kicks, hubby and our kids have felt him my 9yr old daughter is fascinated bless her x
I know we still have a few months but whats everyone really excited to have or do that you can't while pregnant? Obviously I'm savouring this pregnancy as this is our last baby but I've been buying some beautiful outfits for myself in the size I want to be and once baby is born I'm going to focus on getting weight off and fitting in them all! 😊 also can drink baileys for christmas! And a few adrenalin experiences next year....zipline etc X

Curlymam88 · 20/08/2021 18:25

@lovebeingmum9 its nice that they like to feel the baby. My partner thinks iys strange and weird and my daughter doesn't like to either. So I'm alone in feeling the movements. They're a strange pair. Lol.

Dueatchristmas · 20/08/2021 22:57

Hi all,

Can I join, I’m due Xmas day with my first baby.
Had my 20 weeks scan a couple of weeks ago and abdominal circumference was 95th centile. Other measurements were around 50-75th centile. Is this something to worry about?
The sonographer or midwife didn’t mention it I just saw it on my notes. Baby was very wriggly throughout so could this affect the measurement?

Hope everyone getting on ok

burtle4 · 20/08/2021 23:34

Welcome @Dueatchristmas! My baby's abdominal circumference was off the end of the chart but she didn't seem concerned, just said that I might have to have the gestational diabetes test. Our first boy was always off the charts so think we'll just be having another little chubber like him! Got another scan on Monday due to placenta so will get them to check it again then anyway but pretty sure it's nothing to worry about x

jade0881 · 20/08/2021 23:49

@lovebeingmum9 like you said I'm cherishing this pregnancy as this is going to be my last (well in my eyes it is) off I fall pregnant again then I'll be happy but not planning on having anymore... to be honest there isn't anything I can think of. I suppose just having the time with family lol

jade0881 · 20/08/2021 23:51

@Curlymam88 lool no way... that's so funny how they find it weird. My love love out and my partner.. haha well u have all the enjoyment with baby kicking lol.

jade0881 · 20/08/2021 23:52

@Dueatchristmas hello. Congratulations. You are due the same day as me. If sonographer hasn't said anything then you will be fine. When you have up next midwives appt just ask them if you are concerned. Do you know that your having x

lovebeingmum9 · 21/08/2021 08:49

@jade0881 aww family time is the bestiary!
Haha just me then that has a long list as long as my arm of wants and things to do once baby is hear! I think its because it really will be an end of an era for me....10yrs of non stop changing nappies and being stay at home mum,I've obviously loved it but I'm also looking forward to getting my body back in shape and taking up a few hobbies...me time! 😳
@Curlymam88 aw when your further along they will be able to actually feel baby turning inside you....which is amazing for anyone! But for now you can enjoy even the littlest kicks to yourself X
@Dueatchristmas
Hiya and congrats on your 1st pregnancy 😊
This is my 5th and I'm due 17th Dec..... my babies abdominal circumference is 90th percentile its nothing to worry about as they aren't 100% accurate its more like an estimate......our other boys were simular and they were well covered at birth shall we say lol x

jade0881 · 21/08/2021 15:04

@lovebeingmum9 haha don't get me wrong I want my body to be back in shape too. Once baby is a few months old and I've healed well I'm going gym lol. There is other things I want to do like travel etc etc but I won't be able to do that. Reason being is I'm not vaccinated.
How is everyone today. I'm 5 and half months today. So happy. Baby has been moving so much. Last night he was doing summersualts lool

2020mission · 21/08/2021 15:22

@jade0881 I've actually felt movements have reduced 😬 but I do still feel little prods/tapping throughout the day. Last week my husband could feel them when touching my belly but he hasn't been able to feel any for the last week as they seem to be lighter and less frequent. It's probably normal for them to still be light at 21+2 though? I've started researching things to buy now that I've got passed the 20 week mark. Hope everyone else is feeling good.

jade0881 · 21/08/2021 15:31

@2020mission it's probably where baby is laying. Is this your first pregnancy? Sorry can't remember lol. We brought baby bouncer yesterday, getting Moses basket next week and buggy in October. I've been buying clothes nappies etc throughout.

lovebeingmum9 · 24/08/2021 10:00

Hi all hope everyone's OK 🙂 I'm 23wk + 4days today and got midwife appointment this afternoon.....baby has been wiggling about and getting into a bit of a routine of when he wakes which is normally at night.....coincidentally I've not been sleep well the last week, my emotions are up and down but going to enjoy last 2 weeks kids have home from school.....still can't believe 3 will be going to school and will just be our 20month at home until baby arrives x

Curlymam88 · 24/08/2021 14:14

Hello @lovebeingmum9 hope you're well apart from the lack of sleep. Im 23 weeks tomorrow, still got my insomnia ive had it months but tge restless legs aren't as bad as they were. My baby is the same. Very active early hours inthe morning doing rolls and partying when I'm fighting to sleep. I do enjoy feeling her though. Hope your midwife appointment goes well. What was done at the appointment? I have mine when I'm almost 25 weeks.

lovebeingmum9 · 24/08/2021 16:13

Hi @Curlymam88 yes all good thanks and hope you are keeping well too? 😊
Oh man I remember having restless leg its awful....just a numb pain in my last pregnancy no amount of rubbing etc helped! hope it eases soon for you x aw glad to hear your lil lady has been very active its great isn't it 😊
Yes my appointment went well thanks, the midwife checked my urine, blood pressure and babies heart beat which is all great and she discussed the gestational diabetes test that they will book when I'm 28wks,also booked next midwife visit for 2wks time.....they don't measure baby bump until 28wks but she said won't need to on me as I'm having growth scans and they are more accurate apparently.....was lovely really as I took my 9 Yr old daughter so she could hear heartbeat and when we listened to babies heartbeat she felt my belly and could tell how baby was laying and got my daughter to feel where babies head was...
our eldest baby feeling our youngest baby ❤

Curlymam88 · 24/08/2021 16:50

@lovebeingmum9 im doing ok thank you. Im glad you are too.
Yes they told me they won't measure bump but will use the growth scans as they're more accurate Smile
Wow, I think its really fascinating how they can tell where babys head is. I have a feel about and feel a heavier feeling at one side so I wonder if that may be her head.

lovebeingmum9 · 24/08/2021 16:59

@Curlymam88 amazes me too! The midwife said the way she can tell between the head and bottom is the head doesn't wiggle around as much lol x

JW2021 · 24/08/2021 17:28

Hello everyone!
I’m 22 weeks 3 days right now.
As you know I live in the US - I belong to a blog it has some interesting tips thought I’d share with you this cute one……I drank OJ & baby moved then I ate ice cream baby moved a little more - Apparently baby is just becoming sensitive to light even though the eyes are not open yet …..I shone a flash light/on my belly & he moved again!

burtle4 · 24/08/2021 19:11

Hello all! 23+3 here and feeling lots of movements now 💙 had my follow up placenta scan yesterday and was so lovely to see him again and see how much he's grown! Now weighing 1lb 7oz already!! Thankfully the consultant didn't think my placenta is covering the cervix but it's low and a bit of weird one so he wants to scan me again at 34 weeks just to double check before I go into labour x
