Thank you @lovebeingmum9 sounds like you've been having a lovely time. Glad your scan went well. I have my additional scan on Friday as she curled in a ball and couldn't get measurements of the one side of her heart. Im hoping I can get a full body photo. Like a few others only had head shots.

Also @lovebeingmum9 thats good how they told you the approx weight of baby. I havent been given anything like that only a yes all looks fine response. I do have an appointment tomorrow with my consultant I think she's the obstetrician?? But I'm not sure what the appointment will be all about so maybe ill get some info at that appointment.

@Curlymam88 thankyou yes was just what we needed! I feel so refreshed like I've been on holiday too as hubby was here to help 😊
The sonographer should give you a piece of paper after your scan with all the checks,measurement and weight.....do you have a pregnancy folder that has all the paperwork in? if so it could be in there x I know some hospitals do things differently...when I was pregnant with our 1st the local hospital charged £5 per scan pic!!! but our local hospital where we live now they are free 🤷‍♀️ Hope your scan goes well on Friday and get to see the bits they couldn't before.....don't be too disheartened if you don't get a full body pic as baby is bigger so its harder to get all the body in some of my previous scan pics were shocking,I was lucky to get 1 image of my sons leg lol x

@jade0881 Its one thing after the next isn't it ...November is our month to complete everything for babys arrival and have it all ready and prepared inc hospital bag x how you been 🙂

@lovebeingmum9 glad everything went well! I have nothing like your paperwork I haven't been told any measurements, weight, or baby's heart rate 🙄. I do know the placenta is posterior but I only know because I specifically asked where it was sitting during the scan. Would have loved to have all those details you got!

When has everyone had their next midwife appointment after their 20 week scan? I've got mines this week at 21 weeks. It might be an extra one for me since this is my first pregnancy. I'm going to push her for access to my notes and ask her to listen to the heartbeat and tell me the heart rate since I know nothing and have never got to hear it. I have a feeling she will rush and just quickly take BP and urine tests and send me on my way.

@Curlymam88 glad to know I'm not alone with finding DH irritating 😂 nursery looks fab!

@2020mission I do think husband is hormonal too. He's even more laid back than me but is a bit highly strung and emotional at the minute 😂

We bought nursery furniture in the mamas and papas sale a few weeks ago. It had nearly £500 off the set we loved so took a gamble and ordered it. Will remain in the garage until December I reckon 😂 bought pram/travel system on Wednesday last week, picking it up end of September. We were told there are waits of up to 12 weeks on some models of prams so thought best get the order in! Other than that we've bought a couple of packs of neutral baby grows and that's it.
I'm a total prepper/planner so I'm in a mode where I need to get it all sorted 😂

@2020mission my next midwife appointment isn't until 1st Oct. that's because this isn't my first pregnancy.

@lovebeingmum9 I have notes but nothing is in there. Maybe when they have all measurements on Friday they'll put them in.
@2020mission my next midwife appointment is just before im 25 weeks they've not said what will be done at the appointment though. Would be nice for them to check babys heartbeat. Will they start measuring our bump at this appointment maybe?
@Theawkwardblonde thank you, same as us we had a really good deal on the nursery set, and im a massive planner aswell. Like to be prepared with lists etc or ill freak out 🤣

Question - has anyone else suffered with bad bloating and gas? By about 7pm I feel swollen and so gassy that I actually start feeling really sick!

I know it’s nothing worrying but just wondered if anyone has suffered with it abs could give me some tips on how to get rid! It’s just so annoying!

Yes @LouLou0505 I do sometimes although it's usually when I've had a big meal with beans/lentils or a lot of veggies so I brought it on myself. I think all you can do is try and eat smaller portions and foods less likely to cause it?

@LouLou0505 peppermint tea is good for that and also rennies I know are ok to take too.

@Curlymam88 @2020mission its always been the same in each of my pregnancies....have the scan and they give you the paper with their findings on it? I'm in Kent UK so don't know might be different all round but I assumed that was the standard all over......Its bizarre how its different even with the heartbeat,I thought everywhere would be the same and hear it at 16wk mw appointment? definitely ask to hear it on your next app there's no reason why you shouldn't get to hear babies heartbeat at this stage and every midwife app going forward x
@jade0881 yeah exactly November will soon be upon us lol aw sorry to hear you've felt low today....is it hormones? I have up and down days.....today I have been catching up with housework and have loads more energy than usual but I'm sure I will feel it tomorrow! lol X

Ok ladies how many of us have their belly get really hard then suddenly it goes soft again?

@JW2021 I had this the other weekend while eating a curry. I think it may be braxton hicks. I was confused about it at the time.

Or could be where the baby is located in your belly? I feel a lump in one side quite often where I think she must be laying.

@JW2021 yes I have that quite frequently, think it's Braxton hicks...
@LouLou0505 I'm really struggling this time round with bloating, especially in the evening after my dinner, it gets so painful at the top of my bump and really uncomfortable to even walk when i stand up! I have a problem in that I can't burp though so the gas just seems to get stuck with nowhere to go 😂 I've heard that indigestion and heartburn can indicate a baby with lots of hair and that was certainly true for me - so much heartburn in first pregnancy, baby had loads of hair, no heartburn/indigestion in second pregnancy and baby was bald, so we'll see!

@burtle4 - oh my god you are the same as me!! I can’t burp either so it gets so painful!! And I fully agree the pain is above the bump, think I’ll have to get some rennies because it’s not pleasant 😂

@LouLou0505 can't believe I've found someone else who can't burp, everyone always thinks I'm so odd when I say that 😂I keep banging my chest trying to get something to move but all I can come up with is a gurgle 😆

@burtle4 - stop!! My other half things I should like a frog when I try to let the bubbles come up 😂 that is so so funny.

I’d do anything to be able to do a big burp like him!!

🤣 I've learnt to live with it by avoiding fizzy drinks mainly but this pregnancy has really made me wish I could!! My best friend used to try and teach me when we were little, she just couldn't understand it!

Hey ladies, I finally got to hear the heartbeat on a Doppler at my community midwife appointment today 😅 21 weeks I had to wait for that. I'm not even sure why they do a 21 week appointment up here in Scotland but not complaining. I also got my MATB1 certificate and the paperwork to order my free baby box (Scotland only thing again). My next appointment isn't until 28 weeks now.

@2020mission aww isn't that nice, I won't get to hear babies heartbeat till 1st October as they say that's the only time you get to hear. Baby has been moving a lot.

Hey @2020mission so glad you got to hear babies heartbeat! amazing ist it 😊 i need to get the maternity form for my hubby on next mw visit but I love how Scotland do the baby boxes,wish we got them here in England although get lots of free bounty packs wich are still handy!

I had a whopping headache the other day which literally lasted all day,also sickness to go along side but I decided to brush it off and drive kids to a park and walk through woods but on the drive home my head was banging and vision was a bit blurry too! im not sure wether it was just a nasty 1 off headache or could be blood pressure so will keep eye on it! had consultant call the other day and they will book me in for 3 extra growth scans and a glucose test at 28wks to make sure not having another big baby but I've requested to be induced on due date just incase as babies belly is on 90th percentile on scan x
