@Skybooks sending you baby dust! Fight the anxiety & enjoy the precious moments

Mamaux · 06/08/2021 22:22

Thank you @ChaiTRex, that does make a lot of sense. I cannot remember pains with my first (probably because it was 15 years ago) 😱

Mamaux · 06/08/2021 22:25

@miracle2022 this is exactly me! I cannot sleep before scans because I think there is something wrong, the scan gives me a bit of relief, then within a few days I am back to being anxiety ridden. I did lose my first at 19 weeks (a long time ago now) bit I think I must still have some PTSD from it. Im hoping I will get better after that time period.

feb2022 · 07/08/2021 11:52

@Mamaux I think period type pain is pretty normal as the uterus is stretching and ligaments are relaxing, I get these types of pains also, especially if I do a lot of walking or cleaning, I get a lot of my pain in my lower back
Plenty of water and get your feet up if you can

Rmw99 · 07/08/2021 11:55

Finally got my results back. All low risk 🥳

feb2022 · 07/08/2021 11:55

@Mamaux I just read your latest post I'm so sorry you went through that 💐

Hope2022 · 08/08/2021 07:41

Morning ladies!
Hope you’re all well!

We don’t get a letter from 12 week scan in our area these days, they said they will call with results writhing 10-14 days if there’s a problem.. I’m 9 days from scan now so hoping all is good! Found NT at 1.1 on scan report.

My belly is definitely growing by the day, sometimes it’s quite bloated but generally It’s getting bigger 🤣
First trimester symptoms seemed to have pretty much disappeared.. I now seem to feel nauseous only if I don’t eat, and I’m super thirsty! 😊

whistlers · 08/08/2021 07:54

Our trust takes the blood a week before the scan and then at the scan they go through the results there and then. This seems more sensible that making women wait some days after the scan!

Winterfellismyhome · 08/08/2021 08:12

@whistlers ours does that too now, they didnt with my first. Much more reassuring

I would hate having to wait! But I really struggle with waiting for things in an unspecified time frame

Hope2022 · 08/08/2021 10:07

Oh @whistlers that sounds like a better system!
My first face to face contact with a midwife was at my 12 week scan.. it was a bit long having bloods and paperwork done at the same appointment and hubby told to wait outside 🙈

haidri · 08/08/2021 10:29

Hi girlies when did you get the results of your 16week appointment? The screening and all?

haidri · 08/08/2021 10:29

WOOPS I mean the 12 week screening
Hope2022 · 08/08/2021 11:00

@haidri they told me no news is good news and the midwife will give me my results at my 16week appointment!

Seems a looooong time to hope no news is good news but apparently there were a few issues of the wrong letters going to the wrong people or something 🤷‍♀️ I mean how hard is it to send out blood results to the correct person? They seem to have no problems sending me vaccine appt letters and covid updates 🤷‍♀️

babyD20 · 08/08/2021 11:49

Has anyone been having like slights pains in their belly. Noting major just sometimes a shooting pain or ache. Is this normal? Smile

overtherainbo · 08/08/2021 12:16

@babyD20 yes, if I sneeze, cough or walk too much I get shooting pains. I googled and it says it's round ligament pain from around 12 weeks onwards

Trinacham · 08/08/2021 12:30

@hope2022 that is a long wait! I got my results 5 days after the screening (low risk) @haidri

Sunshine8888 · 08/08/2021 12:33

Yes I am getting round ligament pain too, it’s very normal - especially when I move too quickly, roll over in bed or pick up my toddler!

I also had my screening results yday by letter and all low risk although not as low risk as with my first I noticed, maybe because I’m older?

Got a family gathering later so planning an announcement with my toddler sporting a little ‘I’m going to be a big sister’ T-shirt! Hehe

feb2022 · 08/08/2021 13:24

I've been getting round ligament pain too, I stood up too quickly last night and nearly fell over
It takes your breath doesn't it 😅

feb2022 · 08/08/2021 13:25

@Sunshine8888 ohh that's a lovely idea!
I hope you have the best day! ☺️

@Hope2022 that's what I'm thinking. They're quick in sending letters but not when it's to do with blood results. Honestly. Torturous

bamsquish · 09/08/2021 08:43

Anyone still finding it hard to relax and not think it's all going to go tits up?

I have tried really hard to be positive but the doupt still seeps in, feel like I need a scan every week 🤦🏻‍♀️

Rmw99 · 09/08/2021 08:54

Hey ladies,
I know its been spoken about before but who has had the vaccine? Now i was very much against it as if I was not pregnant I wouldn't be getting it done. But now looking at the risk factors and already having risks with asthma and my heart I think it would be silly for me not to get it so iv booked booked for this Friday ( what a bloody day to have it) and I'm so scared. I keep having bad dreams of having a bad reaction. Il be 15 weeks on Saturday am I doing the right thing getting it done? 😪 x

whistlers · 09/08/2021 08:59

Absolutely the right thing.
