@babyD20 I've been studying mine like crazy but not sure if I see the nub! I did post on a Facebook group called 'gender prediction nub theory' and got 2 girl guesses (everyone is betting I have a girl already and my 6 year old niece has had 2 'premonitions' of my 'baby girl' too!) so I've been convinced I'm having a girl Grin will be a shock if it's a boy now lol

Jordanx · 30/07/2021 17:32

@babyD20 yes sure. I'll attach her fb page xx

Due February 2022 (thread 2)

Hi all, finally joining this thread as I have just been stalking and reading for the past month or so. I am due 23/02/2022, but feel it could be slightly later as I am not usually 28 days! Means I am just over 10 weeks at the moment and have my 12 week scan in two weeks. Really excited for everyone having their scans and finally getting to see what’s going on in there.

I have started getting anxious about it so have booked a private scan this week when I will be 11 weeks, which seems so silly being as though I have got this far without stressing about it! This is my first, but had a miscarriage in April, but was a totally different pregnancy though and have had plenty of symptoms this time to keep me satisfied. They’ve slowly started to ease though so now the panic has set in.. I have found a lot of comfort in reading this thread and seeing that a lot of others have had symptoms ease at 9-10 weeks.

Ofpalestsilver · 30/07/2021 21:29

Hello everyone. I’m just joining randomly in the middle of this chat. Anyone else just feeling sooooooooooooo sick they can barely function?

MStarG · 30/07/2021 22:05

Hi, I thought I'd take the plunge and join too after reading the past wee while!
@catinthehat12 I'm very similar to you! About 10 weeks but decided to book a scan for next week even though I have one in 2 weeks Blush
I had covid at about week 5 and felt rotten from then until last week when I woke up feeling completely normal. Had a bit of a panic and then pregnancy symptoms came back 5 days later and I'm back to wishing they'd go away again! I've still been pretty lucky, constant nausea but no actual sickness. Don't know how some of you troopers are coping.

catinthehat12 · 30/07/2021 22:56

Haha @MStarG that is unbelievably similar. I am glad I am not alone then, as I was confirming the scan I thought that it was ridiculous but I want to be excited for the 12 week scan rather than incredibly nervous. Also have had days this week where symptoms have reappeared and I suddenly regret missing them.

Mamaux · 31/07/2021 07:27

Scan was yesterday and we got to see our waving bean. All that anxiety and worry that something was wrong because I had lost my symptoms were all in my head 😍

Hope2022 · 31/07/2021 07:40

@Mamaux lovely scan photo! Glad all is going well!! 😍 when are you due? We had 12 wk scan ydy and we’re due 9th Feb!

@catinthehat12 I nearly booked a scan at 11 weeks but I didn’t have any one to watch my LO so I didn’t otherwise I think I would have!! 😍

Mamaux · 31/07/2021 07:44

Thank you @Hope2022. My dates have changed and I am now due on the 5th February... which is exactly what I thought as I knew the conception date 🤣

feb2022 · 31/07/2021 09:47

@Mamaux gorgeous scan 😍😍

feb2022 · 31/07/2021 09:49

I've been waiting on a call from my community midwife, still haven't had my booking in appointment yet and I'll be 11 weeks next Thursday, I've self referred to my local maternity unit for a scan but I have to have my booking in first... looks like my 12 week scan is gonna be late 😭

jody97xo · 31/07/2021 10:04

13 weeks today and my sickness seems to be getting worse rather than easing like I was hoping 😩 I’m currently on cyclizine hydrochloride and have been taking 3 everyday (maximum dosage) but all of a sudden I’m just barely able to walk a few steps without feeling like I need to throw up. Anyone else seem to be getting worse? My 2 sisters have had HG in every pregnancy they’ve had (seven altogether) so I was kind of expecting this but had no idea how completely draining and awful it would be, I feel like I’m pretty useless at work and at home 😔

Jellybean8 · 31/07/2021 10:46

@feb2022 have you called the maternity team about your booking appointment? I've got mine today and I'm 11 weeks (I self referred and called a few weeks later to chase when I hadn't heard anything). They weren't worried about it being when I was 11 weeks and said scans get sorted fairly quickly after, they don't book hugely in advance so it's likely I'll still have my scan around 12 weeks and you'll probably be the same if they work in the same way. Each appointment triggers the next, so you have to have your booking appointment and then they schedule the scan. My team were more than helpful and very reassuring when I called. Lots of luck!

becarefuloutthere · 31/07/2021 11:04

@Mamaux lovely pic, congratulations 🥳

StephanieJ · 31/07/2021 12:16

I don't know if it's more of a placebo effect but I've found travel sickness bands amazing for my morning sickness! I had an early scan at 9+4, in love already ❤️

StephanieJ · 31/07/2021 12:18

Picture won't upload not sure why! Xx

Sunshine8888 · 31/07/2021 15:18

All good at my scan today, yay! Nuchal measurement 1.7mm, screening results should be here in about a week 🤞🏻🤞🏻
I know it’s way too early to tell but any gender guesses?! I can’t even see a nub 😂
13 weeks tomorrow and first covid jab too! Midwife was super encouraging and supportive of me having the vaccine

Oops sorry I meant to add that the top picture was my little girl and the bottom picture is baby 2 for comparison!

feb2022 · 31/07/2021 15:25

@Sunshine8888 awww beautiful!! They have the same nose 🥰
I'm gonna say boy I think... not sure on nubs and things but different head shape... I think boy 😍

feb2022 · 31/07/2021 15:25

@Jellybean8 yeah I've called them and it just goes to answer machine, hopefully I'll have a call by Wednesday if not I'll chase them up again xx

Rmw99 · 31/07/2021 18:08

@Sunshine8888 that definitely looks like a boy to me xx

Sunshine8888 · 31/07/2021 18:30

@feb2022 and @Rmw99 hehe what makes you think that? I’m convinced it’s a girl as it’s been a very similar pregnancy in terms of symptoms! Feels like such a long wait to find out!

Rmw99 · 31/07/2021 18:43

@Sunshine8888 if I'm looking at the right thing the nub is pointing up. I'm not a professional but iv never been wrong 🤭 I love truing to work these things out haha. Here's mine and you can see the nub is quite straight. Iv booked an early gender scan il be so shocked if it is a boy xx

Due February 2022 (thread 2)
Sunshine8888 · 31/07/2021 19:06

@Rmw99 I honestly can’t even see the nubs let alone whether they’re straight or not 😂🙈 that’s exciting, I’m going to try and hold out but so excited to know!!

feb2022 · 31/07/2021 19:15

@Sunshine8888 I'm not sure but I'm deffo getting boy vibes from your scan... just a hunch maybe haha
