Hey ladies,
Had my 12 week scan today. I'm due the 5th of February everything looked good but I am a little nervous as she kept going over the neck area, its came back as 2.5mm fold which is still under but not sure what to think, she didn't say mu h and was happy with it xx

feb2022 · 27/07/2021 18:11

@Rmw99 aww amazing news!
The sonographer was probably just double checking everything I remember with my boys scans they did spend a lot of time looking at the neck area I wouldn't worry too much xx

Trinacham · 27/07/2021 18:29

@rmw99 mine came back as 2.3mm so not too dissimilar to yours. As you say, it is within the normal range. They did measure it once, then got baby to move, then took the measurement again to double check, so sounds like they always spend a while at that bit. I know it's hard not to overthink and worry though, until we get those results back!x

Rmw99 · 27/07/2021 20:15

Thanks girls, here's a pic.
I'm sure theres nothing to worry about but I'm suchba worrier it's hard not to 🤣 xx

@Rmw99 lovely scan pic! Looks so clear.
I totally understand the worries. I've done so much googling on NT measurements over the last 4 days.. I need to chill out and stop obsessing 😏

Rmw99 · 27/07/2021 20:35

@Trinacham
I have been a nightmare honestly. Still googled now lol. But iv seen a few people say about there's being 6mm and having a healthy baby so I need to stop looking into it so much. Hopefully my bloods come back good x

feb2022 · 27/07/2021 20:55

@Rmw99 awwww beautiful bubba! I can't wait for a scan now 😁
I just heard little ones heartbeat again tonight sounds like a little steam stain 😅

CNMP · 27/07/2021 21:34

So lovely to see everyone’s scans! My 12 week is a week Thursday I’m excited but nervous. I have to keep telling myself there’s no reason to worry but I just can’t help it 🙈

CaramelWaferAndTea · 28/07/2021 07:46

@Rmw99 lovely scan!

I’ve got through my appointment for my booking in on Friday when I’ll be 10 weeks, and I’m having (another) viability scan on Monday and the Harmony. Last time I didn’t have my booking until a one-stop after I’d already had all my results, so it feels pretty bizarre going to the hospital when I’m not sure what’s going to happen. Also a lot of appointments to fit in around a full time job without telling work why - not entirely sure how I managed that last time either...

I’ve fainted a couple of times this week and starting to really struggle on the tube (although thanks to taking drugs more regularly not yet managed a spectacular vomit in a corner). Are any of you commuting, and if so are you wearing the baby on board badge yet? Have ordered one but can’t remember when I wore it from last time.

@Rmw99 lovely scan pic 😍

@CaramelWaferAndTea that sucks having to travel feeling so unwell. Def get a baby on board badge, I feel you need it now to ensure a seat and some space etc. I haven't yet, but I'm a short tube ride to work. I was carrying little plastic bags with me though for fear of vomiting, although I luckily didn't.

Hopefully it'll be better for you soon

becarefuloutthere · 28/07/2021 08:26

@CaramelWaferAndTea I'm only going in once a week if that and my neighbour has given me her baby on board badge. I'm 10 weeks so could do with it when feeling sick, plus I'm so bloated that I do actually look pregnant now! I really hope you don't faint anymore, that sounds scary.

This is my first so wondering when everyone else started/starts taking bump pics each week?

Rmw99 · 28/07/2021 08:37

Thank you 🥰 pretty chuffed with how clear we could see baby xx

Winterfellismyhome · 28/07/2021 08:39

@CaramelWaferAndTea yup ive been wearing mine. I work for the tube so have an abundance of them Grin

My NT was never measured at 12 week scan, because during scan I mentioned that I had SAFE nipt results, after which, sonographer, was saying that there's no point in bothering with the NT/nose bone, so I never found out mine.

Really feel for anyone having to use public transport. I hate it at the best of times, let alone during pregnancy/covid. Considering how triggering smells can be, I would be vomiting on everyone like maggie blackamoor on Little Britain Hmm

Hope2022 · 28/07/2021 11:10

@Rmw99 lovely scan picture! 😍

First trimester symptoms are definitely much better here, still get a little nauseous but it doesn’t take every bit of effort to get off the sofa anymore 🥳🥳🥳

12 week scan Friday! Can’t wait! I’m a little apprehensive but keep thinking the same thing can’t happen twice!
This morning I woke up after dreaming about a baby in a cot next to my bed, first time I’ve dreamt about a baby 💖

Really feel for those of you who have to use public transport! 😘

Rmw99 · 28/07/2021 13:06

@Hope2022 thank you 😊
My symptoms come and go I still feel hungover all day but not awfully bad i can manage doing things now. Fingers crossed for Friday I'm sure everything will be perfect xx

Sunshine8888 · 28/07/2021 13:15

My employer asked me today when my second covid jab is during a team meeting! doh! She’s just assumed I’ve had my first which I haven’t and I can’t lie so had to just say I haven’t had any yet and she looked totally horrified. I don’t want to tell her I’m pregnant until I’ve had my nhs scan and screening results so it was really very awkward!!

Catfox1 · 28/07/2021 14:09

I should hopefully be 12 weeks today! Scan next Tuesday.

Sickness getting worse as the weeks go on as opposed to better 🙄🤷‍♀️

Sycamore89 · 28/07/2021 14:40

@Sunshine8888 Doh! I’ve also been caught out with that at work (although not in a team meeting - ouch!). I’ve just started lying now and saying that I’ve had my first jab… (not ideal).

I’ve got my 12 week scan tomorrow and, all being well, am booked in for my first jab tomorrow afternoon - hopefully all the lies will be over soon! I’m very open about myself usually so finding keeping pregnancy a secret really difficult.

Jorun · 28/07/2021 14:53

@Sunshine8888, everyone is shocked why I still haven't had my jab, but thing is, last year I had covid, after that, I kind of saw very little point, then, as I was going through IVF, the advice has changed 5-6 times...so I never got mine..Hate to have to explain it to people at work..I don't know why everybody all of the sudden needs to know what treatments we've had..I don't go around asking them if they are up to date with their smears...don't know, just feels like it's everyone's business when it shouldn't be.

becarefuloutthere · 28/07/2021 15:13

@Jorun I completely agree with that but unfortunately Covid makes everyone a bit loopy and entitled.

feb2022 · 28/07/2021 15:20

@Jorun I haven't had mine either, too many things going on in my life at the moment
I will get it at some point but I will have to do my research thoroughly before hand (I'm a mega worrier and anxiety sufferer) so I always think the worst in every situation

Rmw99 · 28/07/2021 15:21

With you on that. Your damned if you do get it and damned if you don't. People are too involved opinionated over it does absolute nut in. For now iv chosen not to get it I just don't feel comfortable with it but I am a bit concerned for when I'm further along x

Rmw99 · 28/07/2021 15:21

Does my absolute nut in ** damn phone
