How’s everyone’s symptoms going?

So I’m 10+5, all day nausea and exhaustion seems to be easing quite a bit last few days, I’ve not been doing well in the heat, felling hot bothered dizzy, so I’ve been taking it easy.. 12 week scan is in 10days, had private one last week and all was well but now my symptoms are easing I feel a little anxious., I think it’s bcos the 12 week scan is nearing and the last one I had they discovered a mmc..

I was nauseous all day. I think the heat did set it off.

Had my booking appointment. Unfortunately they didn't have my notes from February, so we had to do it all again. Sighs. Took nearly 2 hours. Also gave 6 tubes of blood as I requested thyroid and Hba1c just for a reference.

Midwife told me that my hospital is now found NIPT as well if your results from scan and bloods come back as high risk. I'm still not sure if we will screen at all and she agreed that for many people it is just something they do because it is offered but they haven't thought through what they do with the result. This is what is troubling me. Ah well. I have 2.5 more weeks to think about it.

@Peachi82 I declined the screening as I think that the result will just cause us more worry and wouldn't change how we would manage the pregnancy. I'm a worrier so would rather assume that everything is ok. Such a personal choice though.

I'm 11 weeks so far but I've been suffering so badly with insomnia. Has anyone else experienced this yet!

Yes @babyD20 it's so rubbish! I woke last night feeling really sick and crampy too which has never happened before. Hoping s it's just gas

I haven't slept properly since my third trimester with my son around 4 years ago!

Then sleep is completely screwed when the baby gets here.

Never goes back to normal as far as my experience. I kind of understand now why many, many women have insomnia after children!

I'm so sure I don't sleep as deeply either because I always seem to have an ear out for the cherub needing a wee at 2am ❤️🤣

Haha @whistlers yes I agree!! Who am I kidding? I haven’t slept properly for nearly 7 years!! 🙈😂 Yay for ☕️ And 🍷 when we are allowed it all again! 😂

Has anyone had issues with getting their 12 week scan date/letter through? I had my.booking appointment on the 8th of July and still haven't heard anything. Iv called the midwifes twice and yesterday they sent another form off and said to wait till Friday. I'm in the UK if that helps x

The heat is unbearable. I'm also up constantly through the night to pee or change position.

Also.. has anyone else's libido went through the roof

@Rmw99 I never got a letter, just saw the appointment appear in my Badger notes. I'm more that 13 weeks when I get my scan. There's still no details about where I should go in the hospital for the appointment, so I guess I'll have to ask at reception when I arrive. Not very organised tbh!

I'd rather have a kitkat and a cold drink if I'm honest! I can't think of anything worse in this heat 😂😂

@Rmw99 I've not even booked in yet 😅 I'm still isolating until Saturday so I'll have to ring them on Monday, I'm 9 weeks tomorrow so I need to get a move on don't I 😅😂

@overtherainbo haha no my libido has been the opposite! 😂 feeling yucky dizzy tired and hot and not in the mood for expending any energy on sex 😂

My symptoms are definitely easing. Nausea is less, but fatigue is still bad. The heat isn't helping that though.

10 weeks and 3 days today according to my scan yesterday, really hope my symptoms did actually peak around week 9 like people say! The only way is up!

@whistlers urgh! Mine are really bad every time I open my fridge I start wrenching, one of my boys loves those chicken skewer things but they stink the fridge out! 🤢🤮
And washing my dishes makes me puke every time it's horrible!
I can't wait for 12 weeks and hopefully the sickness subsides 🙏

I'm really frustrated.

Had my booking appointment booked for 16th July - I was called back within 5 mins and they cancelled it because I was under a different midwife team.

I never heard from my correct team.

Then I called the antenatal department and explained, they booked me in for this coming friday.

Now I've just received a called saying I can't come in Friday because that's not the day my team of midwives work?! Ok... soo.... they said I have to come in on Sunday. I can't make Sunday. Someone will call me back.

Phone just rang again now - progress I thought. Nope. Someone ELSE calling to cancel my appointment for this coming Friday.

I explained again that I can't make Sunday. And to sort theyre shit out! Not those words.

I have an issue with this hospital anyway and they're not redeeming themselves with their inability to organise a piss up in a brewery.

I'm moving to York in sept anyway, but I just need the first couple of appointments sorted out!

Doing the 12 week scan and genetic testing next week…. I am getting so nervous. I’ll be at 12+6 and baby has been measuring a bit ahead… worried about this messing with the neck measurement but just trying to stay calm. I’m excited to see it again!
Since we’re not doing NIPT at this point, we’d have to have until the 20 week scan for gender. I caught myself whispering girl names to my stomach and caught my husband telling the dog she it going to have a little sister lol.
So I bit the bullet and ordered Sneak Peek! The genetic counselor I spoke with recommended it.
