@CNizzle
completely echoing this. Hope you're as okay as you can be. I have been here before and it's awful. Best wishes for the scattering of ashes also, what an upsetting weekend xxx

choccrumpet · 19/07/2021 19:30

@CNizzle I'm so sorry 💔 I hope you're doing as okay as you can, take care of yourself xx

pusscous · 19/07/2021 20:28

@Winterfellismyhome I'm with you that the thought of food makes me want to vomit. I'm 9+2 and since some time last week the nausea has rapidly ramped up a pace. I managed to get through a toddler birthday party and orthopaedic appointments and even my blood test but ran out to the car once done retching. The masks plus heat of hospital plus asthma and nausea is not a great combo. My kids haven't twigged yet- well the 6 year old. We feel like after all the loses that we want to keep the worry from her, she saw a lot with the others and fertility treatment plus she is soo keen on cute little a babies that I don't want her heartbroken.

ItsMeantToBe · 19/07/2021 20:37

@CNizzle So sorry. That's so cruel. Take care of yourself x

pusscous · 20/07/2021 07:19

@CNizzle I'm so sorry 😢 take care of yourself and allow time this week for all the negative emotions, please continue to talk here or on another group, it really does help

Sleepyquest · 20/07/2021 08:10

I'm so sorry @CNizzle please take care of yourself

Lowkeyloopy · 20/07/2021 09:21

I'm so so sorry @CNizzle - take the time to grieve and recognise the loss. Make sure you take enough time off work to go through it and properly look after yourself too (a mistake I made was just being off for a day or two). And remember to talk to people, as it will help process it. xx

Skybooks · 20/07/2021 11:44

@cnizzle I'm so sorry, I've been there and it's horrible. Thank you for thinking of us all. Please look after yourself and take some time out.

Hi all, finally found thread 2. Haven't really caught up, been very sick, on meds and signed off work. Fun. The heat is really not helpful, 29c in the bedroom overnight is TOO hot at the moment. Gutted that I'm still getting fat despite the nausea / vomiting as eating all the carbs. Had 3 scans now and all looking good. Had a harmony test yesterday so next week should know if any risk of downs etc but also the sex.

whistlers · 20/07/2021 14:34

Back from my NIPT. 10 working days seems such a long wait.

Was nice to have another scan though! Baby was waving ❤️

Oh gosh, I didn't realise the wait was that long for results! I've mine booked in for 2 weeks time and was hoping for results the next day like my previous blood and hormone tests 🧐

So lovely you saw your baby again though 🥰

Bells3032 · 20/07/2021 16:07

hello all. update from me. We had our NIPT test last Monday. it revealed we lost baby 2 although baby 1 is thriving. We decided to have another private scan on Sat as we were afraid for baby 1 and it was so lovely to see it dancing around... we couldn't get any clear pics as kept moving all the time! so after tears earlier in the week it was nice to have a little celebration.

and we got the NIPT test results back yesterday and all clear and it's a little girl! so excited (my sister is already planning her wardrobe!).

Tech 12 weeks tomorrow but don't have the 12 week scan til next Tues. We cannot wait to be able to tell people

babyD20 · 20/07/2021 16:12

Hiya sorry I've just seen something about the nipt test, I know this is optional but do all women who want to test for those conditions need it or does it depend on the 12 week scan? :) thank you! Xx

Sleepyquest · 20/07/2021 16:19

I still haven't seen the baby Sad Friday!!!!!

Bells3032 · 20/07/2021 17:28

@babyD20 most people are referring to a private test you can do from 10 weeks. It is more accurate than the NHS. The NHS do something called a combined scan that uses measurements and a less accurate blood test to give you your risks. This is a available to everyone though the NHS. The NIPT test is more accurate and can post up to £300-500.

We chose to do it for a couple of reasons: 1. i know a couple of people i know came back with high probability combined test results and then had to wait for the NIPT test results which came back with low probability and 2. my husband has poor sperm and we were worried it would put us more at risk

Mine was £595! Which I'm sure is the most expensive I've seen, no idea why, I just went with my IVF clinic because I'm already under their care

becarefuloutthere · 20/07/2021 18:39

@Bells3032 sorry to read your update about losing baby 2, but pleased to see baby 1 is thriving. I'm going to tag a lady I talk to that has gone through similar loss with ivf twins in the hope that the two of you can share experiences. @Crazydoglady123 I hope you don't mind the tag but please meet bells. Xx

pusscous · 20/07/2021 19:31

@Bells3032 so sorry to hear about baby 2, and congratulations that baby 1 is thriving, such a bittersweet time for you.

Urgh I'm so bloated at the moment, I feel really uncomfortable and 20 something weeks pregnant which is fine if I was and wanted everyone to know. But somehow my weight has stayed the same- it's far to high but still fit my regular size 10 even if I'm favouring the looser cut stuff

emalady · 20/07/2021 20:11

I had mine yesterday and they said 7-10 calendar days. Wierd how much variety. Was it harmony or another one?
WinsAndNeedles · 20/07/2021 20:41

Went in to see the Diabetic Midwife today. My booking bloods were back and all pretty perfect (thank god). She's brought my 12wk scan forward by a week, which is amazing because the wait is killing me! 2 weeks tomorrow when I'll be 11+1.

I'm starting to get excited. I'm going to be heartbroken if the scan doesn't go well now.

whistlers · 20/07/2021 20:51

@emalady

My clinic don't use Harmony UK anymore, they use another one in Spain.

Apparently sometimes with these tests, women will get recalled for another blood sample because the lab can't find enough foetal dna. My clinic were finding they were getting a few too many with Harmony so swapped to this other one in Spain.

My clinic are pretty belt and braces. Sure Harmony is perfectly fine!
