Thought I'd start a new thread for us expecting March 2022!

Congratulations!!

I'm 4+2 with my first, conceived via IVF. I have endo & adeno so pretty nervous. Have told hubby & my sis so far but it's hard keeping the excitement in! It's been a long TTC journey over the last 5 years...

Hope everyone is feeling well in these early days xx

@Shiftima same with my boobs! I like to sleep on my front last night and couldn't because it hurt too much!

So nice to see more mummy's in their 30's, I will be a month short of my 35th birthday on my due date and feel it's quite late for a first child!

WhenShallIShare · 30/06/2021 10:41

@GemLooper

So glad to see there are some slightly older mums to be in this group 😊 too. I'm 35 (will be 36 at EDD). My first will be 4 next month so we are having quite a big age gap!! Still coming to grips with it all.
Ah yes me too, DD will be 4 when this baby arrives. Still haven’t decided when to tell her 😳
ContadoraExplorer · 30/06/2021 11:09

@gemlooper my symptoms come and go but I'm tired, sore boobs and if I don't snack constantly I feel sick. I don't remember the nausea being that bad first time round but I also didn't have a toddler tiring me out and bringing home bugs every week (thankfully not the C word so far)

Lya4 · 30/06/2021 11:23

@Shiftima

8 year gap between this one and my youngest. 18 between my oldest! I must be out of my mind
I'm not much better Grin
Lya4 · 30/06/2021 11:26

@Shiftima sorry I pressed post too soon! I'm 36. My eldest will be 14, my second will be 12 and my youngest will be 7 when this one is born.
Everyone is going to think I've gone nuts too!

Does anyone know if it's normal to receive positives on FRER and Clear Blue but get negatives on the cheap Poundshop ones? Had 2 clear BFPs on FRER on Sunday, I bought a 3 pack in the pound shop yesterday and barely got a hint of a line on it last night, so I panicked (obviously, lol!) and did a Clear Blue a few hours later and got a positive. Did another cheapie on just there and no line at all. I'm 4+5 now so I would've assumed HCG is strong enough to POAS at any time of the day? I'm reassured by the Clear Blue BFP yesterday (and will do another later for peace of mind!) but still just a bit anxious as it's our first and we've been TTC for so long! Are the cheapie ones a bit unreliable?? Or would my HCG be a bit diluted as I did drink a glass of water this morning so I could test!
It's so hard not to stress at this stage! Confused

AtomicSquash · 30/06/2021 11:37

@Lilypad121 I think that sounds totally normal, I have had some really bad experiences with the cheap ones, they can be so hit and miss. Which makes it a bit bonkers that they are allowed to sell them really being as how the results they give can be so life changing! I take getting your positive result on the clear blue as confirmation that everything is still OK!

ContadoraExplorer · 30/06/2021 12:03

@lilypad121 absolutely. I had IC's to use up in my last pregnancy and it took ages to get any sort of colour appearing despite having had several strong positives on other tests.

I'm currently stressing myself out with internet cheapies!! My test line never gets to be as dark as the control and I'm 4+5 but on FRER it's much darker I'm going to take another FRER tomorrow then put them away! Causing myself added stress

I'm still not nauseous but I am super hormonal. I nearly cried because my handbag and shoes were in two different places. I told DH it was good practice for the irrational toddler tantrums. Anyone else have this?

Shiftima · 30/06/2021 13:01

Have you done a clearblue digital? Mine came up 2-3 and I was 4+1 I think.

Lilypad121 · 30/06/2021 13:03

Thank you both @AtomicSquash and @ContadoraExplorer I just did a Clear Blue and got BFP so I'm going to try and stop testing now. It's just so hard to believe its finally happened so I like the reassurance of the BFPs but I'm driving myself mad now! I'll just leave it now and hopefully make it to my early scan without any issue. Thanks again for the reassurance! Smile

Lilypad121 · 30/06/2021 13:05

@Minnie296 that line looks very strong, much stronger than the ones I got so I think you're looking good!

Lilypad121 · 30/06/2021 13:06

@Shiftima if I do any more tests it'll be a digital one for peace of mind and then leave it alone until my scan!

Shiftima · 30/06/2021 13:30

Good plan @Lilypad121
The lines on my IC were pretty clear

Minnie296 · 30/06/2021 13:43

@Lilypad121 Aww thank you for confirming I just feel so stressed I should stop testing really!

@Upsideandundergarments Oh my hormones have kicked in I had a massive meltdown yesterday then cried my eyes out!

ShrimpingViolet · 30/06/2021 13:56

Hi everyone, could I join please? Found out yesterday although it's very early as AF isn't due for another day or so.

This is baby #2 for us, DD will be nearly 3 when he/she arrives. I'm 33 and due around March 10/11.

Hope everyone is feeling well and congrats to all Smile

lulabilly · 30/06/2021 15:03

I forgot the pill too often and here we are. I never had a period but test said 2-3 weeks since conception so I estimate that I'm due early March. Surprised but still over the moon.

Congratulations everyone!

Charm23 · 30/06/2021 15:03

How is everyone feeling?

I think I'm still a bit in denial and sometimes forget I'm pregnant again! I'm hoping morning sickness stays away this time as it was horrendous between week 8-16 last time fingers crossed

Anyone had an early scan or got one booked?

This is my 3rd pregnancy but my 1st ended in MC. I do have my little girl to keep me occupied though which definitely helps pass the time! I had early scans due to bleeding in my last two pregnancies so I'm not used to having to wait until the dating scan and it now seems so far away! I can't wait to see!

ShrimpingViolet · 30/06/2021 15:43

I know what you mean @Charm23 it doesn't feel real at this stage a lot of the time. How old is your daughter?

Feel OK at the moment, bit tired and headachey and boobs tender but that's all. I didn't get sickness last time so hoping it'll be the same this time.

I had an early scan last time as I had shoulder pain. Waiting for 12 weeks seems such a long time.

extrababydust123 · 30/06/2021 16:05

@Upsideandundergarments I am the same with the hormones! The tiniest things are making me almost tear up 😂 my OH thinks I’m crazy!

KayL1988 · 30/06/2021 16:50

Hey @Charm23 I'm good thanks! I know what you mean, i guess it doesn't feel real until you've had a scan?

Will they offer you an early scan again? I think someone mentioned sometimes they do if you've had early issues in pregnancy? I'm definitely paying for a private scan all being good... I'm too impatient and anxious to wait!

Feeling the tiredness and hormones too @ShrimpingViolet

@rainfrog21

Geriatric OMG! DO THEY GIVE US SLIPPERS AND A PIPE????
No, they give us clot injections instead 😂😂
Fizzyfluff · 30/06/2021 17:28

Ha, yes yes you are!!!

So by the time this one will be born our other 3 will be 16yrs, 8, and 2

Shiftima · 30/06/2021 18:02

@Fizzyfluff what the hell are we doing?!
I did another IC test earlier and it seems a bit darker than yesterday.
After the chemical a few months ago, I’m a bit obsessed with line progression. What I’d give for a vodka and tonic now
