Thought I'd start a new thread for us expecting March 2022!

Congratulations!!

I'm 4+2 with my first, conceived via IVF. I have endo & adeno so pretty nervous. Have told hubby & my sis so far but it's hard keeping the excitement in! It's been a long TTC journey over the last 5 years...

Hope everyone is feeling well in these early days xx

Hi @rainfrog21 I'm 37, 38 in August so probably looking at the same risk/concerns as you. My last one was born when I had just turned 36, and was geriatric then !

Fizzyfluff · 29/06/2021 21:37

@CurlyNo2 I'm 37 and due on 7th as well!! We can be the triplets 🤣 Though I'll be 38 by the time I'm due

Fizzyfluff · 29/06/2021 21:39

@Shiftima what's the status with you and baby daddy? I'm married and still haven't told hubby as he's not going to be happy

CurlyNo2 · 29/06/2021 21:41

Oh fantastic! We must have all been super busy around the same time 😂😂

busybee2102 · 29/06/2021 21:42

@Fizzyfluff and @rainfrog21 I’m 38, will turn 39 a week before EDD. Not loving being referred to as ‘geriatric’ already 😂

Shiftima · 29/06/2021 22:04

@abbs1 I think 7th March. My period was a week early last month so I’m not entirely sure. I’m on the pill too, just confuse things further!
@Fizzyfluff been seeing eachother over a year but, because of him being younger, we’ve never been officially a couple. He’s one of the good ones but this is going to come as a massive shock and curveball for him

Lya4 · 29/06/2021 22:23

At 4 weeks should I not feel totally wiped out? I'm sure I was sleeping all over the place by this point in previous pregnancies. I'm feeling fine and normal energy at the min. Only symptom is bloating and a few cramps Confused

Fizzyfluff · 29/06/2021 22:47

@Lya4 I can't remember when my tiredness kicked in last time. But feel full of energy at the mo, more so than normal!

@Shiftima I'm sure he'll just roll with it if he's one of the good ones. Are you thinking of how to break it to him? Like maybe do a nice reveal?

Has anyone done a fancy reveal to the other half, you know that type of things you see on TikTok?

rainfrog21 · 29/06/2021 22:54

Geriatric OMG! DO THEY GIVE US SLIPPERS AND A PIPE????

KayL1988 · 30/06/2021 06:55

@Lya4 I've heard mixed things about when the tiredness hits. For me it's definitely hit at 4 weeks but one of my friends she didn't feel tired until about 6 weeks.

Hahaha @rainfrog21 It's such a weird term isn't it!! To be honest I hate a lot of the words they use... feels so outdated. 😂

Shiftima · 30/06/2021 07:20

Tiredness is starting to creep in for me now. My boobs though, feel like they’ve been punched.
I’m going to have to tread very carefully about telling him. Don’t think a big over the top reveal would go down well at all!

WhenShallIShare · 30/06/2021 07:27

I’m definitely more tired than last time. Finding myself going to bed earlier and yawning through the day.
I’m also geriatric 😂 I’m 36 now but will be 37 when baby is born 👵🏻

CurlyNo2 · 30/06/2021 07:29

Good morning all

Hope everyone is feeling OK.

I've woken up this morning with really bad pains. I thought it may be because I needed a poop but I couldn't go the toilet. They were so sharp they took my breath away. Feeling very nauseous this morning too. I'm only 4+2, i don't recall feeling like this with my 1st. Not sure whether I should be worried or not 😟

GemLooper · 30/06/2021 07:36

So glad to see there are some slightly older mums to be in this group 😊 too. I'm 35 (will be 36 at EDD). My first will be 4 next month so we are having quite a big age gap!! Still coming to grips with it all.

I'll be 37 at EDD and my son will be 5 and half. I cannot wait to tell him (which won't be for a good few months). He asked me yesterday on the way to school why his friend had an older brother to play with and he had no-one 😭

I’m also 35 but will still be 35 in March. Had some period type cramping the last 2 nights and this morning. Don’t remember this with my previous 2 pregnancies until after the bleeding had started so for me this is actually a good sign as those went wrong.
ContadoraExplorer · 30/06/2021 07:45

@gemlooper 37 here, will be 38 when baby is born. Was 35 when I had my first so they'll be a little closer. I would have liked them even closer but nature didn't play ball. What is your EDD? I'm 8th March just now.

Shiftima · 30/06/2021 07:45

8 year gap between this one and my youngest. 18 between my oldest! I must be out of my mind

KayL1988 · 30/06/2021 07:47

Nice to see so many of us in our 30s (I've just turned 33 so sadly no free slippers and pipe for me yet)

Try not to stress too much @CurlyNo2 could it be constipation?? I think that's really common in early stages!

GemLooper · 30/06/2021 07:49

@ContadoraExplorer my EDD is 11th March but I went 8 days over with my first 🙄. We always said we would only have one but DH has been on the fence for a year or so and we decided to give it a go. This was our first month ttc so it's been a bit of a shock. As always, I'll just be relieved when the first scan happens!!!

KayL1988 · 30/06/2021 07:50

(Also appreciate try not to stress doesn't help! But was more thinking maybe try and have some higher fibre food etc. Today and see if anything changes). So annoyed I said the most annoying phrase in my rush to respond!!

CurlyNo2 · 30/06/2021 07:54

Thanks @KayL1988, it could possibly be bowel related. It's like the pain when you a funny tummy, it just got me worried as it was so sharp. Hopefully it doesn't come back. Google is no clearer, the same paragraph says its normal, but then it could be a miscarriage!

ContadoraExplorer · 30/06/2021 08:50

@gemlooper right there with you re the scan. We had a chemical last October (first time trying for #2). Have struggled since then and only managed to BD twice this month so I was quite shocked when the test was positive but feel awful so taking that as a positive sign. How are you feeling?

Shortmamashortcycles · 30/06/2021 08:51

Pretty sure we conceived on my 35th birthday, so like @Cuwins, I'll still be 35 if/when this one arrives.

I had cramping last night too and am pretty sure I've got the toddler's cold. Blergh.

On the other hand, got a CB 2-3 weeks this morning which was reassuring.

GemLooper · 30/06/2021 09:32

@ContadoraExplorer I'm feeling fine thanks. Only very minor period like cramps occasionally. No other symptoms at all but I had the same lack of symptoms with my 1st (which annoyingly causes different kind of anxiety 🙄). How are you feeling?
