Thought I'd start a new thread for us expecting March 2022!

Congratulations!!

I'm 4+2 with my first, conceived via IVF. I have endo & adeno so pretty nervous. Have told hubby & my sis so far but it's hard keeping the excitement in! It's been a long TTC journey over the last 5 years...

Hope everyone is feeling well in these early days xx

@WonderlandZooHD You are hilarious! I love love the digital tests. Hope he wakes up soon for a look 😊

I've also been a bit intuitive. I told my OH I wasn't drinking at 5dpo because I was sure I was pregnant- more proof I'm always right 😅

Is this your first pregnancy?
I've just had to Google Bounty Pack, so clueless!

WonderlandZooHD · 16/07/2021 11:02

@JuneySunshine
Yeah it’s very cut and dry the digital tests it’s either aye or naw no oh is there isn’t there

Yeah?! see I’m the same always right but he doesn’t think so 😂 it’s weird I was looking at my skin more it wasn’t as blochy as it normally is during lead up to AF and I was like huh my skin looks great and the old how’s your father felt different as well that be a bit tmi but never mind 😂

Yeah it is my first I’m 28 so I’ll be 29 when baby arrives and other half is 33

Yeah bounty’s like a company that works with the NHS I think, are you in the UK? I’m Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Champersandchocolate · 16/07/2021 11:15

@Amtheyest17 I have done 4 clear blue digitals 😂 I did it 4 days before my period was due and I was pregnant. Then I did some afterwards just for the fun of it. Definitely pregnant just scared it’s in the wrong place (ectopic). Not had that before but I’m just anxious!

Hi @PaperFleur sorry to hear of your past experience. As nervous as we are, as horrid and unnatural it is to go through, these things hopefully are making us stronger.

I thought this time around I would be cut off from wanting to plan and dive right in to baby world but alas I was in John Lewis on Tuesday playing around with prams!

I sold all my baby stuff for my last pregnancy in an emotional stress from loosing it. But I have managed to pull myself back together and begin again.

I’m 28, I already have 7&9 year old girls. I am very blessed to have them but I still had awful complications with my last pregnancy going wrong so age is just a number.

Good luck with your scan.
Xxx

Londongirl1234 · 16/07/2021 11:48

Hi everyone 👋🏼

I’m 4 weeks pregnant today, found out on Monday night with an early test. I am really happy and excited but I’m SO SO anxious. I’ve done tests everyday this week 🙈 Have had sore boobs although this is on and off, and I had diarrhoea/loose stools since last Sunday (sorry tmi I know!) but I don’t really feel sick yet. Have needed to wee frequently! Is / has anyone else experienced similar symptoms?

Congratulations to everyone else on their pregnancies!

Thanks :) x

PaperFleur · 16/07/2021 12:41

Thanks @Champersandchocolate - and I'm so sorry to hear about your loss too. Wishing you a safe and smooth pregnancy this time, I hope your scans are reassuring. I know what you mean about aiming to hold off on looking at baby stuff and making plans, but it's very hard not to! For me it's looking at maternity clothes which is silly because a) obviously I don't need them yet and b) it's all summer stuff and it'll be much cooler by the time I do need to buy things!

@Londongirl1234 - congratulations! I've had more the opposite problem to diarrhoea, but to be honest I think anything goes with hormones affecting bowels! Confused

JuneySunshine · 16/07/2021 12:51

@WonderlandZooHD
So nice about your skin. I've yet to see any perks. Well apart from I'm bursting out of my bra, so nice if people are into that 😅

I'll be 33 and this is my first.

Yeah I'm in England. Love a freebie so 🤞

Londongirl1234 · 16/07/2021 12:58

Thanks @PaperFleur! Congratulations to you too. I think you’re right, I guess the hormones affect us all differently 🤣

WonderlandZooHD · 16/07/2021 13:17

@JuneySunshine
These hormones are a funny thing 😂 I’ve switched to my sports bras already no messing about
He woke up and he’s seen the digital test there was a slightly more elevated reaction 😂🖖🏻
Oh great first time mums together and you’re just down the road fab! NHS babies!
Im really looking forward to my booking appointment now
I’ve already started researching 😆 god help this kid 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

CurlyNo2 · 16/07/2021 13:51

Yikes... I had my booking appointment on Wednesday and my 12 week scan appointment has arrived for 26 August. I'll be 12+4 at the scan.

The midwife on the phone said I will get a text to ask me to go get bloods done, buy I've not received anything. Has anybody else had their bloods taken yet?

Maui69 · 16/07/2021 13:52

Is there room for one more?

Congrats to you all!

Trinxsy · 16/07/2021 15:28

My HCG levels doubled!!!!!! They're still low at 177 at 5 weeks (I think, I'm thinking maybe I ovulated and implanted late as they only began to rise on friday) but they're within the suggested numbers! I'm so chuffed and can now relax...kind of

CharlieSassy · 16/07/2021 15:49

@Trinxsy congratulations! Hope you can relax a bit more!!

I had a strange experience today, went for my second covid vaccine and I went away without it! They told me it wasn't advised but someone else I know in a different city was told different. Just thought I'd give you all a heads up in case you had a second vaccine booked as you might need to check with your GP or midwife to save a potential wasted journey?

Kaytay · 16/07/2021 16:00

Hi everyone, hope you are all well. That's not good @CharlieSassy I have been reading loads around this and previously posted about it as well, there is no much conflicting advice but as far as I am aware they are urging pregnant woman to get it and I plan on getting my second one after 12 weeks. Did they give you any reason as to why they wouldn't vaccinate? Xx

xxcatcatcatxx · 16/07/2021 16:07

@Londongirl1234

Congratsssss💕 I definitely have I need a poo like 3 or 4 times a day like I can’t hold it. Finally got over my phobia of pooing at work at least!

I had a Google as thought it might be just me and apparently it’s something to do with progesterone relaxing your muscles 🥰 xxx

CharlieSassy · 16/07/2021 16:15

@Kaytay I think its because its still too early, they did mention coming back after 12 weeks and to be honest the advice my friend got was a while ago so who knows how the guidance may be changing! I wish I'd phoned my GP beforehand to be honest as I felt terrible wasting their time, but I wanted to mention here too so that you all had a chance to check with the doctor like I wish I had!

CurlyNo2 · 16/07/2021 16:17

My midwife pointed me to our local women's hospital webpage for further information. She said they were encouraging pregnant women to get either Pfizer or moderna as there is more data available for those. Worth a read/watch.

JuneySunshine · 16/07/2021 16:31

Hi @Maui69, always room! Is this your first pregnancy, and how many weeks?

@Trinxsy Congratulations, that sounds really reassuring!

@CharlieSassy @Kaytay @CurlyNo2 This is bizzare, I'm due my second jab in the next fortnight. I didn't have AZ and everything I've read so far seems to suggest it'd be ok/ advisable. If I don't get my midwife session booked in before my appointment I think I'll call and ask on the phone. Some consistency would be nice Hmm

Maui69 · 16/07/2021 16:49

Thank you Juneysunshine! This is my second pregnancy, I also have a 4 year old. I am 5+5 weeks, will be 6 weeks on Sunday, according to the NHS due date calculator I am due on 13th march. How about you? I have tried reading as much of the thread as I can so I can get to know you all as I appreciate I'm late to the chat!

Hope everyone is well!

Maui69 · 16/07/2021 16:50

Also I'm unsure on how to @ people in posts (sorry im new to this) could anyone explain🙈

nervousnelson · 16/07/2021 17:15

Hi all! I've been lurking on this thread for a while but thought I'd actually say hello, since I've been enjoying the early pregnancy company.

I'm currently 6+5 (EDD 6th March), and other than a brief ectopic scare over the weekend seem to be getting off pretty lightly symptom-wise at the moment. I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks earlier this year (first pregnancy) so definitely feeling super anxious this week though Confused

When I was referred to the EPU to rule out an ectopic they saw a heartbeat (yay!) but the baby was measuring a little small (4-5 days behind) - I know the margins of error are tiny at this point but I'm really struggling not to combine lack of symptoms and the small measurements to assume the worst!

On the vaccine, I'm definitely going to have my second (Pfizer) jab when it comes round in mid-August - if all goes well I should be just over 10 weeks then. In lots of other countries they're actively recommending it to pregnant women at all stages of pregnancy, and the risk of COVID complications is much scarier to me than the risk of the jab.

Hope you're all looking after yourselves and ready to enjoy the sunshine this weekend Smile

Ttcbn2 · 16/07/2021 17:16

Hi everyone! Could I join please 😊

I’m around 7 weeks with my second baby so I’m due early March♥️ First child is 6 now!

Suffered from hyperemesis with my first pregnancy and having some really bad days this time around but not vomiting all day long like I was with my daughter so that’s a plus!

How is everyone feeling x

Charliecircle11 · 16/07/2021 17:16

No symptoms for me other than the bloat and feel 3 months pregnant and not one!

JuneySunshine · 16/07/2021 17:27

Hi @Maui69,
You just start typing @ followed by username. You might get a prompt below the text box or you might need to type the whole thing. I know it's a massive thread, I just dip in and out but lots of relatable stuff here.

That's lovely timing with a 4 year old. This is my first pregnancy, I think I'm about 4+5 and due around the 20th. Have you booked in appointments etc yet? I only called the midwife this morning.

Starmoose · 16/07/2021 17:32

@CharlieSassy

Thanks for posting. I was also supposed to have my 2nd Pfizer jab today but after researching I was still unsure last night so thought best to postpone. I am 5+6 and my first pregnancy so very nervous. I asked my GP and she was pushing me to get the vaccine asap. I also called the antenatal dept of the hospital I have signed up for and they also said go for it, the pfizer vaccine is safe etc , but I still didn't feel comfortable.
I also asked a gynaecologist and she said that 1 in 4 pregnancy's result in miscarriage and if that is the case, you wouldnt want to feel like you had done anything wrong. However if I had gone ahead with the jab this morning, her reply would have come in a little too late.
I'm pleased I waited even tho it wasn't the advice given to me by my GP and midwife. Just wanted to share my experience. Has been stressful this week esp knowing 'Freedom day"is coming up and so many people are now testing positive

Londongirl1234 · 16/07/2021 17:34

@xxcatcatcatxx it’s really good to know that I’m not the only one!!! 🤣 Congratulations on your pregnancy too! :)
